Use of drama in children's folklore group

This thesis deals with use of drama in a children folklore group. The main aim is using of drama in education of children and creation of production. Another aim is to find out what advantages drama brings to children folklore group. The thesis also deals with a structure of a heterogeneous group of children (children of different ages) and with a role of a preschool child in such group. In the theoretical part there are mentioned basic terms such as folk culture, folklore, children folklore and folklorism. Methods and aims of drama are also introduced. It deals with the connection between drama and children folklore group. In the experimental part there is described a project which studies possibilities when using drama in a preparation of production in particular children folklore group. Possibilities of using drama for production preparation were shown. The outcomes of the project enable us to say, that drama is useful during creation of production and even in production itself. It brings nature to children manners in production. Different ages of children have been beneficial - younger children were taught by the older ones. Institutional care of children at an early age in the South Bohemian Region

The Diploma thesis deals with the issue of availability of early Childhood Care in the South Bohemia region. The theoretical part of the thesis is focused on the analysis if current family policy, which is key in this situation, and the related needs of families with children who have not entered preschool education yet. It describes the conditions and forms of institutional care for children under six years of age, with emphasis on forms of early childcare in the Czech Republic, including current changes that are currently planned by the competent ministry. It maps the situation and the number of facilities in the South Bohemian Region. The aim of the research part of the thesis is to provide a summary of the availability of institutional care for children at an early age in the South Bohemian region and to map the needs of families in the provision of institutional care for children at an early age. The main method of research is a questionnaire survey among parents in the South Bohemian Region, which is supplemented by interviews with selected parents-respondents. Approaches to Early English Language Learning in Pre-school Facilities

The thesis deals with a topical and at the same time controversial isssue in the pre- shool education - the very early foreign language learning. The aim of the thesis is to outline the conditions of English language learning in pre-school facilities in the Czech Republic (more precisely in Prague) and analyse and compare selected methods used for teaching English. The thesis consists of the theoretical and the practical part. The theoretical part focuses on early language learning in the Czech and European context, on curriculum conditions and teachers' qualification in the Czech Republic and on the individual particularities of a pre-school child in relation to the early language acquisition. The summary will offer various opinions and results of researches in the field of early foreing language learning in the pre-school age. Methods of developmental psychodiagnostics for children under the age of 3

Thesis focuses on methods of developmental psychodiagnostics for children under the age of 3. Characteristics of early childhood considering the general developmental patterns are introduced in the beginning. Then the focus is moved to the developmental psychodiagnostics, its specific situation, its demands from the examinator's point of view, as well as the specifics of infants and toddlers that can affect the process of making a developmental diagnosis. The essence of this thesis presents particular methods of developmental diagnostics, its development, description, use, advantages and possible disadvantages. For better demonstraion of the administration process, each method is supplemented with a brief example of an possible examination. In the end of the thesis a research project is being proposed. That is a project of concurrent validity of the parent- completed "Ages and Stages Questionnaires" with the Gesell scales. This thesis deals with orientation and mobility (O&M) of children with visual and multiple disabilities in early childhood years. It provides basic information about individuals with visual and multiple disabilities, about early childhood, about early intervention, about O&M, about importance of family and about possibilities of support in early learning. The main attention is focused on content areas of O&M in early childhood years and devices O&M for children. It also deals with the situation in the sphere of O&M for children in early childhood in the Czech Republic.
Specific needs of children in foster family as a consequence of early trauma

This thesis deals with a topic of specific needs of early traumatised children living in a foster family. The theoretical part is divided into five chapters. The first chapter describes foster care as a part of Czech system of care about children in need. The second chapter deals with the psychological development in early childhood. The third chapter applies itself to early trauma and its causes. The fourth chapter is focused on consequences of early trauma and resulting specific needs of children. The fifth chapter is devoted to the possibilities of working with early traumatised children in a foster family. The following practical part consists of three segments. The first one has a form of research among foster parents. It is focused on specific needs of children and also a need of support, which should be given to foster families. The second section presents the research survey among non-profit organisations that deal with direct support for foster families. It examines their experience with a topic of early trauma. The third section presents a unique project of one Czech organisation, which is focused on the transition of child from institutional care to family environment.
