The main topic of this bachelor thesis is an introduction to the usage of a new device for automotive lights, mainly LED lights. The thesis is focused on the usage of LED lights, their circuits and drivers. Furthermore, the thesis is aimed at power MOSFETs suitable for LED drivers, their parameters and their effect on the circuits. In the thesis will be included also a description of the measurement of given circuits with following comments on the output as well as the comment on the measurement itself. The goal of the thesis is not in technical details, but it is in a usage of English language used for more general description of principles and measurement processes.
Video Games Localisation

This bachelor’s thesis deals with the history and issues of Video Games Localization. The work will consist of two parts. The first is Theory which will include the origins of the first games to present video games. Also, it will deal with localization and problems around it. There will be terms that surrounds localization of video games like transcreation, internationalization, user interface, game code a so on. It will show the importance of why companies should be aware of cultural differences and what consequences could follow. The second half will consist of practical part where given games will be compared to the style of localization.
Electric cars as the ecological future of transport

The goal of this bachelor thesis is to describe electrical means of transport with regard to their impact on the environment in comparison with conventional means of transport. The introduction compares gasoline cars and electric vehicles and their impact on the environment. The next chapter describes the historical background of the electric car. The following section discusses several types of electric vehicles and describes their properties. The last chapter explains the impact on the environment and suggestions for improving the ecological situation
Commented translation of a text on science and technology

The aim of this semester thesis is to translate technical text from Czech language to English language in order to show translating capabilities of the author. Furthermore, author’s task is to comment on the topic of translation and differences between these two languages. This thesis, apart from introduction and conclusion, consists of two main parts. First one is Czech text dealing with technical problematics and translation of this text into English. In the thesis, both texts are present in order to be compared. This part is dominant in the means of extent. The second main part of this thesis is commentary to this translation, or rather commentary of the differences between target and source language. In this part the procedure of translation is also described, as well as some linguistic features that has been used.
Intonation of Czech Speakers When Speaking English

Intonation is frequently described as the movement of the pitch throughout a phrase, which assists the speaker in the vocal expression of their thoughts. The bachelor's thesis concerns the possible difficulties in intonation a Czech speaker may encounter when speaking English, as they can lead to a change of meaning of uttered words. The aim of the thesis is set to try and distinguish these difficulties by explaining the basic terms associated with intonation and their application on recordings of ten Czech speakers uttering eight English phrases, compared to recordings of the same eight phrases recorded by four native speakers.
Photovoltaic power plants and their design

This bachelor thesis deals with photovoltaic power plants and their design. A significant part of the work focuses primarily on manufacturing technologies and the type and method of producing various types of photovoltaic cells; further the work focuses on basic components of photovoltaic power plants such as solar panels, batteries, controllers, inverters, transformers and optimizers. This thesis also includes a practical part, which deals with the power plant location conditions, factors influencing the power plants energy yield and a practical description of the construction and individual components. The practical part is completed by the comparison of two already existing power plants owned by GEEN Holding a.s., where the author describes, compares and evaluates their technological solution.

This thesis focuses on user interfaces, methods connected with their design and the interaction between humans and computers. The goal is to codify and explore the most important of these methods and their influence on final products. Another goal is to describe the theoretical side of design and the approach of designers and users to design and interaction. In the part focused on the user interfaces the thesis sets the goal to research and compare select approaches to interface creation and to list the most important influences on demands concerning the application interface design.
Threats and negative influence of the use of technologies

The consumer-oriented products of the technological development are omnipresent, and their presence has had an undoubtable influence on the individual and society. The aim of this semester thesis to summarize the negative effects of the use of these technologies and point out possible threats, specifically focusing on the cognitive functions of human brain, behavioral addictions brought by the use of the technologies and conclude with possible solutions of partial problems and research methods to elaborate further investigation.
English-Czech Engineering Glossary: Translation, Analysis, Online Solution

My bachelor thesis deals with the English–Czech dictionary for subject HEFE (and also XAEI). Terms lexicography, dictionary and dictionary division, terms word and classes of words are explained in this thesis. The second section describes process of creation of dictionary. The procedure how the words were translated and sources, which were used to translations, are also described in the third part. An electronic solution to technical glossary is in the end of the thesis.
Gender Stereotypes in Technical Products Advertisements

The thesis is focused on media representations of gender stereotypes in advertising. The definition of advertising, gender and stereotypes is discussed, the conclusions of studies of gender stereotypes in advertising are presented. Gender stereotypes which appear in present-day advertising of different kinds of products are analysed.
