Vojta Beneš 1878-1951
Kulhánková, Radka ; Váňová, Růžena (advisor) ; Valenta, Josef (referee)
The final thesis focuses on the Czech politician, teacher, writer and publicist Vojta Beneš, the brother of the second Czechoslovak president Edvard Beneš. The 73 years of his life belonged to the epoch that brought two world wars and the fundamental changes in the history of our country. We can find two major efforts in Vojta Beneš's life. Dedicated work for his homeland and help the Czechoslovak child. Beneš was an ardent nationalist in the best sense and subordinated all his life to the thought of independent, humanist and democratic state. He helped in its formation in 1918 as an active leader of the anti-Austrian resistance among our countrymen in America, fought to defend our country in 1938 and later in 1948, when his mother country was threatened by two totalitarian regimes. The second theme of Vojta Beneš's life, that this thesis deals with, is a quality education and social support of the Czechoslovak children, that he performed in his original profession, later in the service of high educational institutions in our country and also in the organizations, that provided social care to the people in need.

Stehlík, Tomáš ; Koťa, Jaroslav (advisor) ; Váňová, Růžena (referee)
The degree thesis tit1ed "Universities and educational policy in the Czech republic after the year 1989" aims at university education after 1989. And more than this, I seek to perceive aspects with possible impacts on further development of university education. Twenty years of evolving university education have witnessed enormous influence on the condition of universities in the Czech Republic. When mapping the status several aspects have to be taken into consideration. To perceive the past is as important as to foresee the potential future. And this is what I attempted to describe in the final part of my degree thesis.
Christian educatio in life and work of selected historical personalities
Schicker, David ; Lorenzová, Jitka (advisor) ; Váňová, Růžena (referee)
Christian educatio is the topic of this work which is partly a theoretical, partly a historical, partly a historically comparative study. The Christian educatio is understood here as the purest expression of the essence of education. In the introduction we show the notion of education as it is used in the modern pedagogical theory. In the next chapter we deal with the definition of the Christian educatio. Since we also try to use the historical approach, we present the Plato's concept of education as a precursor of the educatio. Next we continue with the middle age and introduce st. Augustine and st. Francis of Assisi. We show the way these personalities tried to fill up the idea of the Christian educatio in their lives. In the last chapter we occur in the period when the notion of education as the sense of the Christian educatio is being weakened. We choose the personalities that still consider this notion of education as the biggest ideal of human being, and that at the same time try to transfer it into their lives and work. The aim and the purpose of this work is to show one of the inspiring notion of education and to ask the reader to think about the current situation.

Zajíčková, Petra ; Sedláčková, Daniela (advisor) ; Váňová, Růžena (referee)
The dissertation, divided to two parts - the theoretical one and the empirical one, deals with issues of "Cooperation between pupils and teacher in waldorf schools." The theoretical part describes following fundamental terms from a literature - e.g. what is cooperation, principles of cooprative learning, concepts of waldorf pedagogy, a meaning of waldorf pedagogy, anthroposophy, the main attributes of waldorf pedagogy. The next part of the dissertation connects both topics - cooperation and waldorf pedagogy - and describes principles of cooperative learning in waldorf pedagogy and specifics of cooperation in waldorf pedagogy. I have not been successful in looking up in literature the topic cooperation in waldorf school, this capture is completed by my own experience. The empirical part focuses on specifics of cooperation in waldorf school. There were used various research techniques, e.g. observing, inteview, the school's documents analysis. The main aim of this essay is found out using cooperation in waldorf school, concretely what are specifics of cooperation. Waldorf schools are different from common schools in some attributes. This appears in cooperation between pupils and teacher and also between pupils. The most important specifics of waldorf pedagogy are focus on a comprehensive advacement of...

Šturma, František ; Váňová, Růžena (advisor) ; Valenta, Josef (referee)
This work deals with problems of Czcech educational system in the period of nazi occupation. Based on concrete examples of national school in Celakovice, primarily basic attributes of our national education in this tragic period are approached. These attributes are divided into severa I phases aceording to the way of nazi intluence on the education area. As an initial time limit we consider already the period of so called the "second republic", which in many aspects ushers in following years of Czech and Moravia Protectorate. We can follow up there how Celakovice schools were changing until the end of the Second World War under the increasing pressure of German occupational power. In the process of time we can also see the downgrade of not only everyday school work but also of the Czech teachers position. The attention is also given over to unsuccessful attempt to establish municipal school of music, which was supposed to become a significant culture centre of Celakovice. Final part of this work is describing revolt activities of teachers who were at the same time the main representatives of the local rebellion organization. It is mainly about Jaroslav Krucky, one of nazi regim victim, and Vaclav Grafnetter, who as a leader of local revolt led popular uprising in Celakovice in May 1945.

The paper "The Teachers' Training College in Kutná Hora and its Changes in Development of the between 1870 and 1948" presents a survey of the history of the institution from the time of its foundation in 1870 till 1948 when it was dissolved in compliance with the measures enforced in the education for elementary school teachers. The information presented in this work was acquired through a thorough study of the accessible sources and is supported by the relevant legal regulations applicable to the education for elementary school teachers in training colleges for teachers valid in all of the respective given periods. These proved to be invaluable sources of explanations of all internal changes made in the aforementioned institution during different stages of its life and development. They have also granted a more complex outlook at the ways in which the elementary school teachers were being educated in the past.
