Environmental electronic information resources for management and decision making on the level of municipal politics

Tématem práce jsou environmentální informační potřeby obcí a jejich pokrytí prostřednictvím elektronických informačních zdrojů budovaných státní správou. Práce si klade za cíl na základě vymezení environmentálních informací a jejich organizování zmapovat informační potřeby pro oblast životního prostředí průměrné obce. Následně zodpovědět otázku, zda tyto potřeby jsou dostatečně uspokojovány prostřednictvím elektronických informačních zdrojů budovaných státní správou, a to zejména webovými stránkami jednotlivých krajských úřadů. Úvodní teoretická část se věnuje ujasnění pojmů a kompetencí na poli veřejné správy, dále osvětlení termínů environmentální informace, environmentální informační systémy a environmentální metainformační systém. Jádrem práce je dotazníkový výzkum informačních potřeb starostů malých obcí z oblasti životního prostředí a na základě získaných zjištění podrobná analýza webových stránek jednotlivých krajských úřadů.

Information design is a multidisciplinary field that applies knowledge from many areas in order to transfer information efficiently. The work defines methods, means and tools of information design and assesses their practical impact. The practical part describes the use of information design on the example of communication of traffic information by The Prague Public Transport Company, Inc.

Overview and analysis of competitive intelligence information resources

Tématem práce je přehled a analýza informačních zdrojů pro konkurenční zpravodajství (CI - Competitive intelligence). Cílem práce je detailní popis fáze sběru informací. Práce je rozdělena na teoretickou a praktickou část. V teoretické části práce je představen obor CI, popsán současný stav CI, pojetí CI ve světě a v České republice, historický přehled, definice, cyklus CI a terminologie. V dalších kapitolách jsou představeny etické aspekty CI, typologie informačních zdrojů využitelných pro CI a směry vývoje ve zpracování informací pro CI. Praktická část se zabývá přehledem a porovnáním vybraných aspektů informačních zdrojů. V rámci praktické části diplomové práce jsou stanoveny dvě hypotézy: "Vybrané veřejné informační zdroje se od sebe značně liší ve všech použitých kritériích" a "Jednou z hlavních přidaných hodnot komerčních informačních zdrojů je schopnost agregovat volně vyhledatelné informace na jednom místě." Výsledky hypotéz jsou uvedeny v závěru práce.

The bachelor thesis "Disinhibition forms and manifestation" focuses on the internet communication. Nowadays, mobile phones, Internet and other communication devices can use the Internet or your mobile phone to communicate for hours. Start of thesis deals with an introduction to the history of the Internet and cyberspace as an environment in which the Internet is. Then he deals with basic psychological aspects of communication in cyberspace. It represents a typical group of victims, and various methods of attack. It points out the advantages and disadvantages of Internet and social networks and their dangers, but also on the positive aspects of social networks and the Internet for young people. The bachelor thesis can be used as a source of information to all who are interested in communicating on the Internet. And as a further inspiration to those who explore this area of communication.

Usage of social media in nonprofit organizations in the Czech republic

The aim of this diploma thesis is the inception, concept and performance of presentation the Faculty of Arts of Charles University in Prague on Facebook since the official launch on the 13th April 2011 to 31 March 2012. The thesis describes the key features of concept, composition of the team, collaboration with other parts of the Faculty of Arts and also the experience of interacting with fans and other presentations. The second part is devoted to a survey of selected communication tools used by the Faculty of Arts, which has been realized in order to determine the opinion of fans of presentation at the end of the first year of operation.

Personal, Professional and Social Qualities of a Project Manager

The MA thesis is divided to two basic parts. First of them is dealing with personal, social and professional knowledge of a project manager and the second one is mapping the education of soft skills at Czech universities where the subject of study "Information Studies and Librarianship" is taught. The theoretical part is devoted to project management. The attention is devoted to basic terms from project management's area, it represents the most well-known project methodologies, it defines particular roles of a project manager and most importantly the part is dealing with particular competences, which should be commanded by a project manager. The last chapter of theoretical part is devoted to an analysis of the three most well-known project methodologies. The practical part is mapping the situation at universities - namely which subjects they offer within the education of soft skills and how the teachers are working with the subject. Other activities of universities within the education and the development of soft skills are also given. Further the examples of subjects with the same topic taught at American universities are listed. In the end of thesis the recommendation how to improve the quality of teaching soft skill at Czech universities are given. And also which topics could be put among optional...

Internet as a communication tool of non-profit organizations

This thesis describes the possibilities of using the internet for marketing and fundraising activities of non-profit organizations in the Czech Republic. It has an emphasis on the quality of non-profit organizations' web sites. The first chapter of the thesis presents a non- profit sector and its specifics. Furthermore, it describes the possible ways NGOs can communicate on the internet and their potential online marketing. The third chapter is dedicated to fundraising forms and mapping the current trends in online fundraising. The fourth and fifth chapter explain the specifics of web site usage and social networks. Moreover, the principles of quality web sites are presented. The last chapter focuses on the analysis of the web sites of selected non-profit organizations in the area of social rehabilitation. The analysis is mainly devoted to accessibility and usability of web sites. It also examines the potential use of web sites to communicate with users and supporters.

Information flow management in Municipal Library Ústí nad Orlicí

This bachelor's thesis deals with information flow management in libraries. The thesis consists of two parts - theoretical and practical. In the theoretical part, there are defined terms related to information and knowledge management, and subsequently there are described particular information flows in libraries. The practical part consists information flow analysis in the Municipal library Usti nad Orlici using the content analysis and semi-structured interview methods. The result of analysis brings evaluation of quality of information flows in the above mentioned library and concrete proposals for its improvement.
