Effect of 2-benzylthiopyridine-4-carbothioamide derivatives on isoflavonoids and flavonoids accumulation in suspension culture of Trifolium pratense L.

1 Abstract Veronika Machová Effect of 2-benzylthiopyridine-4-carbothioamide derivatives on isoflavonoids and flavonoids accumulation in suspension culture of Trifolium pratense L. The paper examinate the effect of three concentration of 2-(2-fluoro-6- nitrobenzylsulfanyl) pyridine-4-carbothioamide on the production of flavonoids and isoflavonoids by the Trifolium patense L. (variety DO-8, variety Tempus). The culture were cultivated in the Gamborg nutrient media with addition of 2 mg·l-1 2,4- dichlorophenoxyacetic acid a 2 mg·l-1 6-benzylaminopurine, at the temperature of 25řC, 16-hr light/8-hr dark period. The elicited and the inspection samples underwent the photometric determination of flavonoids in accordance with the Czech Pharmacopoeia 2009 ant the determination of isoflavonoids via the HPLC method. The results show that the maximum content of flavonoids in suspension cultures of Trifolium pratense L. (variety DO-8) was caused by 48-hour elicitation by 100 µmol·l-1 solution of 2-(2-fluoro-6-nitrobenzylsulfanyl) pyridine-4-carbothioamide, when the a statistically significant increase in production was 93% compared to control cultures. The maximum content of flavonoids in variety Tempus was caused by 48-hour elicitation by 10 µmol·l-1 solution of 2-(2-fluoro-6-nitrobenzylsulfanyl) pyridine-4-...
Comparison of the defined subjects in the dance field
Machová, Veronika ; Šíma, Jan (advisor) ; Štědroň, Bohumír (referee)
Title: Comparison of defined subjects on the dance field Objectives: The main target of this thesis is creation of analyses of two dance groups from Czech Republic, specifically Paul-Dance Jilemnice and Enliven Centre, followed by mutual comparison and creation of set of recommendations to help improve their further work. Methods: In this thesis I used the internal analysis, PEST analysis and comparative analysis, on whose basis I created SWOT analyses of both dance groups, thanks to which I suggested possible recommendations. Results: This thesis brings information about their current situation to both dance groups, points out the shortages and recommends steps for improvement. Both groups have been affected by worldwide economic crisis, which caused not only loss of members, but also loss of sponsors. Moreover, Paul-Dance collects low membership fees, which ensure stable flow of finance to the budget; Enliven Centre does not have all individual age categories filled. Keywords: associations, dance, dance group, internal analysis, PEST analysis, comparative analysis, SWOT analysis
Non-equity Crowdfunding: Funding Success and Dynamics on Hithit
Machová, Veronika ; Gregor, Martin (advisor) ; Švarcová, Natálie (referee)
Non-equity Crowdfunding: Funding Success and Dynamics on Hithit Veronika Machová Abstract Non-equity crowdfunding, as an innovative way of financing new ideas, has been growing enormously over recent years. Crowdfunding projects are often characterized by a predetermined monetary goal and the length of the campaign. Furthermore, potential contributors can observe the level of funding provided by others, which suggests that details of previous contributions play an essential role in funding behavior. We obtain data from the Czech crowdfunding platform Hithit, which allow us to empirically analyze the determinants of success and the funding dynamics of crowdfunding projects. Outcomes from several probit regressions indicate that shorter campaigns and campaigns offering private rewards of lower value are more likely to be successful-but these results do not demonstrate causality. A short campaign signals confidence; this positive signaling effect outweighs the marketing- opportunities effect of a long campaign. Applying fixed effects model to panel data, we show that the amount of contributions is negatively associated with the level of funding already achieved, providing evidence of free-riding effect. However, the effect of past contributions is reversed in the final phase of the campaign as the risk of...
Happiness and Income
Machová, Veronika ; Cahlík, Tomáš (advisor) ; Pertold-Gebicka, Barbara (referee)
This thesis examines relationships between average national subjective well-being and three economic factors-income (expressed as gross domestic product [GDP] per capita), unemployment, and economic freedom-applying fixed effects, random effects, and correlated random effects methods on panel data for countries worldwide, which are divided into three groups based on their level of development. Two measures of subjective well- being-feeling of happiness, and life satisfaction-are used, and the outputs are then compared for both. The results indicate that all three factors have a significant impact on subjective well-being, and GDP per capita seems to be the strongest determinant thereof. Moreover, the findings differ depending on whether life satisfaction or happiness is used as the measure of subjective well-being. The effects of GDP per capita and economic freedom are higher on the former than the latter.
