Richard Lukáš Proposal of instrumental solution of measuring group dynamics of school class after orientation program Bachelor's Thesis Abstract In this thesis we proposed instrument for measuring group dynamics of the class in first grade on high school, which passed an orientation program. The instrument is based on robust conceptualization of group dynamics. We compared the dimensions of group dynamics with the goals of the orientation programs and thus we received 10 main dimensions of our conceptual model (norms, roles, relations, communication, cooperation, conflict management, cohesion, social support, social atmosphere and leadership and decision-making), which were operationalized then. We proposed research design consisting of 2 versions of the questionnaire. The first is administered among the students of the class in simple version. The second is administered among teacher and instructors of the orientation program and is based on the research design of questionnaire Group Dynamics Q-Sort. Administrations take place before the orientation program, in the end of it and two months later in the school. We also proposed indexes measuring the structure of the class, interaction within it, mutual support and cohesion. We conducted expert interviews regarding the questionnaire and a pilot. In the end...

Lukáš, Richard ; Morávková Krejčová, Lenka (advisor) ; Štětovská, Iva (referee)
Faculty of Arts, Charles University in Prague, Department of Psychology Richard Lukáš Psychology students' attitudes towards adoption of children by same-sex couples (Master Thesis) Consultant: PhDr. Lenka Krejčová, Ph.D. Praha 2018 Abstract: Same-sex parenting (homoparentality) is new, yet still not well explored phenomena in Czech Republic. Purpose of this study is to explore the attitudes of Czech psychology students (N=337) to homoparentality. The vignettes, i.e. model stories describing the situation of a couple preparing to adopt a child, were used. The sexual orientation of the couple and child's gender varied. After reading one of the six versions of the vignette, participants assessed the parental competences and child's future development after adoption. The factor analysis of dependent variables was performed with 8 scales as a result. Independent variables were traditional and modern homophobia, beliefs about etiology of homosexuality, gender roles attitudes etc. Results indicate that students view homoparentality rather positively. However, the homoparental and heteroparental families were rated differently. The participants were more concerned about normative sexual development and victimization of children from homoparental families. On the other hand, children from heteroparental families...

Faculty of Arts, Charles University in Prague, Department of Psychology Richard Lukáš Social skills and emotional intelligence of elementary schools and 8-year grammar schools students (Bachelor Thesis) Consultant: PhDr. David Čáp, Ph.D. Praha 2016 Abstract: Multi-year grammar schools are perceived in Czech educational system as elite institutions providing academic education and preparing for university. Grammar school students are educated in academically and socially homogenous environment. Goal of the bachelor thesis is to present research design, which will find out whether there is a difference in the level of social skills and emotional intelligence between secondary and grammar school students. The thesis propose hypothesis that heterogeneity of classes on secondary school has impact on development of these skills, compared to homogenous classes at grammar school. The hypothesis is based on Allport's intergroup contact theory and other theories. The lower secondary education is characterized in the perspective of developmental psychology and through comparison of social psychological environment of secondary and grammar schools. The proposal of research design presents longitudinal research using Social Skills Improvement System, MSCEIT, School class Climate questionnaire, B-3 and other methods to...

Faculty of Social Sciences, Charles University in Prague Institute of Sociological Studies, Department of Sociology Bc. Richard Lukáš Obstacles of improvement in pre-graduate teacher education: qualitative case study of faculty of education (Master Thesis) Consultant: doc. PhDr. Arnošt Veselý, Ph.D. Prague 2016 Abstract Institutional and organizational context of teacher training on faculties of education is not sociologically well developed topic, even though it is essential topic for the future of society. The goal of this work is to explore where are obstacles of improvement of teacher training on faculties of education in Czech Republic. I answer this question through the case study of a selected Czech faculty of education. I discovered several obstacles of improvement of teacher training by realizing interviews with faculty heads; analyzing the frames, which they use for framing their experiences with the obstacles; and analyzing the institutional context of teacher training on the selected faculty (intervention heuristic investigation). In the institutional view, the main obstacles are several external factors (e.g. state funding, role of Accreditation Commission etc.); specific history of teacher training in Czech Republic; structure of the faulty and organization of the studies there; and the...

1. SUMMARY Introduction: During the period of the last 25 years remarkable changes occurred in the treatment of traumas of thoracolumbar spine. The surgical treatment was extended in cases where instability and impairment of its physiological shape are expected. This development is based on the progress in imaging technologies, more detailed understanding of spine biomechanics and a pathophysiology of its impairment. The situation was also influenced by the progression in surgical instruments and implants and also in the technology of bone substitutes. Aim of the study: The aim of the study is to analyze the long term morphological and clinical results after the surgical treatment of thoracolumbar fractures, in which the bioactive glass-ceramics in the form of granules was used as a bone substitute. Material and method: A series of 140 patients treated surgically for unstable thoracolumbar fracture (LSC points 4 - 6) during the period from 1997 to 2003 was studied. The average age of patients was 44 years (14 - 78). The patient collection consists of 83 males in the average age of 43,7 years (14-73) and 57 females in the average age of 44.9 years (15-78). The minimum follow-up was 24 months, the average follow-up period was 29 months. Patient series includes a group of 91 cases, in which the implant was...
