Construction of Professional Identity of a Coach. Narrative point of view.

Diploma thesis entitled "Construction of Professional Identity of a Coach. Narrative point of View." aimed to explore and describe the process of construction of professional identity in professional coaches. The first section of the theoretical part is devoted to the topic of identity. Identity is defined from a psychological and philosophical point of view, and psychological theories of identity development are introduced. Furthermore, professional identity is presented as a specific form of identity of an individual, which relates to their professional field, and recent research studies concerning professional identity are presented. At the end of this part, the topic of the crisis of professional identity and the concept of self - efficacy, which is related to the area of professional identity, are discussed. The second section of the theoretical part describes the contemporary image of coaching in the Czech Republic, its professional framework, and a brief history of the coaching method. Subsequently, the key competencies of a professional coach, differences from related disciplines, the context of coaching and psychology and ethics in coaching are described. Title: Relationship of a child with Asperger syndrome and his family to school Author: Tereza Měšťáková Department: Psychology Supervisor: PhDr. Veronika Pavlas Martanová, Ph.D. ABSTRACT This diploma thesis deals with the relationship of a child with Asperger's syndrome and his family to school. The work aims to map the nature of these relationships and factors that may affect this relationship in specific children with AS and their parents. The theoretical part of the work is divided into two main sections. The first chapter focuses on Asperger Syndrome and its specifics, which are manifested in the school environment, on the relationships of children with this syndrome to classmates and teachers. The second part deals with the relationship between family and school. Attention is paid to the dilemmas of this relationship, the possibilities of its development and the relationship of the family with a problematic child to school The empirical part of the thesis presents qualitative research, which was carried out by the method of semi-structured interviews with five second-graders with Asperger Syndrome educated in ordinary primary schools and their parents. The evaluation of therapeutic work with children's s group

This diploma thesis discusses the evaluation of therapeutic work with a children's group. It shows the evaluation of the programme children's group psychotherapy from the perspective of parents and their children. The theoretical part focuses on the definition of group psychotherapy and on children in young school age. The main part is about the psychotherapy for children and the discussion groups for their parents. The qualitative research is presented in the empirical part. Semi-structured interviews with seven parents and questionnaire for seven children were conducted. These methods were analysed based on the creation of thematic categories. The evaluation of the data is also inspired by the method of grounded theory. The results show that parents and children predominantly agree in the evaluation of the children's therapeutic group program. Significant for both groups seems to be establishing close relationships with other members. An important factor in the process has been the way parents and children communicate about the group. Children's groups in counseling in the context of the active cooperation with parents

This diploma thesis discusses the children's groups in counselling in the context of active parenting. It maps experiences of parents in groups from the point of view of mothers and therapists. The theoretical part focuses on the definition of the group psychotherapy, the specifics of child psychotherapy and the support groups. Furthermore, it focuses on the experiences of a parent of a problem child and its active role in the process of a child psychotherapy. It also considers the work of a therapist. The qualitative research is presented in the empirical part. Semi-structured interviews with 5 mothers and 4 therapists were conducted. These interviews were analysed based on the method of creating thematic categories. The evaluation of the data is also inspired by the method of grounded theory. The results show that the views of parents and therapists are the same in most areas. Both groups perceive the importance of a parent participating in the group. The group acts therapeutically for both the child and the parents. This affects the process of the whole therapy. Role and the form of the goals in coaching

The aim of this diploma thesis is to describe the role of the goals in coaching with focus on their form and their possible impact on the coaching process. The topic of the goals is presented from the several perspectives that are confronted each other. The thesis has two parts - the theoretical one and the empirical one. In the theoretical part of the work are defined the concepts that are related to the topic, described psychological principles and essence of coaching, clarified the role of the goals in coaching, summarized the psychological approaches in coaching, discussed possible negative consequences of the goals in coaching and at the end of the theoretical part is given a brief overview of current research of this topic. The second, empirical part is following by theoretical part. The research design is characterized by the quantitative research, where is mapped the goal orientation of the coaches and then their attitudes to work with the goals. The target group of the research are certified professional coaches in the Czech republic. The data collection is realized by the administration of a self- assessment questionnaire. Possibilities of Development of Individual Functions in Socially Disadvantaged Children in Younger School Age

This thesis deals with the possibilities of development of partial functions in socially disadvantaged children of younger school age. The theoretical part introduces basic characteristics of children of younger school age, social disadvantage, and impacts of environment on education; partial functions, their diagnostics, and deficits in such functions. It also presents specific learning disorders and behaviour disorders as well as selected options of support for socially disadvantaged children. The practical part presents the results of the research focused on the situation of socially disadvantaged children of younger school age within the context of possibilities of development of their partial functions. The qualitative research was processed using the grounded theory method, while the methods of data collection included interview, observation, and analysis of document. The key elements found were the exhaustion of parents of socially disadvantaged children and transferring of responsibility for the education process to the child. The conclusion of the thesis contains practical recommendations for work with families with children in connection with the education of socially disadvantaged children and the possibilities of supporting their development.

TITLE: Aversive feelings of therapists to clients and ways of dealing with them AUTHOR: Bc. Simona Kozlová DEPARTMENT: Department of psychology SUPERVISOR: PhDr. David Heider, PhD. ABSTRACT: The aim of this thesis is to gain insight aversive feelings experienced by therapists to the clients. Determine the causal characteristics of aversive feeling and their processing. The task is to examine whether there are links between the detected phenomena. The method of data collection, are interviews with a group of psychotherapists. When analyzing the responses I used qualitative methodology, specifically the Strauss and Corbin's grounded theory. The work is divided into theoretical part and empirical part. The theoretical part describes aspects affecting the therapeutic process, as well as forms of aversive feelings and their possible consequences on the therapeutic relationship. In the empirical part are presented and interpreted data obtained from interviews, which are analyzed. The main results include: aversive feelings experienced by the therapists include helplessness, frustration, anger, and frustration, exhaustion, disgust, fear and threats, abuse and failure.
