Education of seniors in U3V from the perspective of lecturers

The topic of this diploma thesis is the education of seniors within the universities of the third age at Charles University in Prague from the perspective of lecturers. The thesis deals with key aspects of this topic, from a theoretical and as well practical point of view. The main goal is to understand the process of senior`s education and how it is perceived by the lecturers. The thesis describes their acquired experiences, the possibilities of developing the education of seniors and the perceived barriers in the education of this population at U3A as part of lifelong learning. The theoretical part of the thesis serves as a basic framework for understanding the issue of education for seniors. It uses professional literature to define key terms and concepts. The attention is placed on the importance of lifelong learning for seniors and on the specifics of the educational process in this context. Other chapters are focused on the lecturers themselves in connection with the didactic process and psychodidactics. They deal with the personality of the lecturer, his role and his competences. The influence of the principal on further education of teaching staff

The bachelor's thesis deals with the influence of the school principal on the further education of teaching staff. The main goal is to find out and evaluate what influence the school principal has on the further education of teaching staff. The thesis is divided into a theoretical and a practical parts. The theoretical part defines the concept of a school principal, describes his/her functions and roles, and determines the competences of a primary school principal. It also deals with further education of teaching staff. The basic terms related to further education of teaching staff, legal anchoring and strategic documents related to the issue are clarified. The division of continuing training of teaching staff and current methods of educational events is indicated. The work also describes the activities of the director in the process of further education of teaching staff at the school. The diploma thesis deals with the motivation and barriers in education of adult students at a college. The issue of motivation and barriers of selected economically active students in higher education is discussed. The thesis is divided into a theoretical and an empirical part. The theoretical part describes the basic concepts related to the topic of the diploma thesis - motivation, motivation to learn, lifelong learning, adult education, higher education, barriers in education and more. The aim of the thesis is to find out and describe what motivated and continues to motivate selected economically active adults to study at a college, to identify the barriers they feel in this education and to find out how they deal with these barriers. The thesis identifies, analyzes and describes the motivation and barriers of selected adult students in education at a selected college. Moral dilemmas of the teacher in preschool education

In kindergartens, teachers encounter various moral dilemmas in the course of their professional lives. The diploma thesis focuses on these dilemmas and tries to identify them and find out how they are solved by pedagogues and how they further influence them in their work. The aim of the thesis is to provide an insight into this area of the professional activity of female teachers in preschool education and thus contribute to a better understanding of the topic and at the same time break down certain belittling attitudes that perceive moral dilemmas in kindergartens as irrelevant to the solution and moral formation of pedagogues. The theoretical part of the diploma thesis deals with ethics and morality, reveals the roots of these fields and their unsystematic or often missing grasp in the work of pedagogues, in their effect on the moral formation of pupils, describes the personality of the pedagogue from the point of view of morality and ethics, not forgetting the ethics of duty and the ethics of virtue . The bachelor thesis "Communication and its influence on the resolution of the conflict between teachers and parents" deals with the position of parents in the educational process and the importance of proper and quality communication between parents and school. The thesis focuses on the description of conflict situations between the school, its management and the teachers, and parents. The theoretical part describes and defines the basic knowledge in the field of conflict and communication. There are presented types of conflicts, main stages of conflicts, their causes and potential triggers, possible solutions and obstacles that may occur in these solutions. Adaptation in pre-primary education

My diploma thesis deals with the adaptation process of new-coming teachers who enter the pre-primary education system. The adaptation should prepare them especially for a teacher's position, acquaint them with the organisation culture and help them to integrate into the new social environment. The theoretical part is focused on personnel activities in the organisation, adaptation, mentoring, the adaptation process of a new teacher as well as on the adaptation plan. The thesis aims at examining the functionality of the adaptation plan used in a kindergarten in Prague and developing a proposal for adaptation plan changes based on the reflection of the needs during the adaptation of the teachers who started to work in the kindergarten. The research is based on a questionnaire survey and interviews with the teachers and mentors of the kindergarten in Prague. The questionnaire survey and interviews are supposed to find out what the teachers needed most during the adaptation, if the adaptation plan was of any help for the new-coming teachers, what the teachers would like to change in their adaptation plan to make it more helpful and to make it meet their needs during their adaptation, as well as what the mentors would like to change in the adaptation plan to make it more efficient.
