Snapshot and Rollback Support for Configuration Files in Fedora
Ježek, Michal ; Vojnar, Tomáš (referee) ; Smrčka, Aleš (advisor)
The purpose of this thesis is to design and implement tools for support of a snapshot and a rollback for configuration files on the GNU/Linux distribution. The set of the tools enables an automatic/periodical saving of the configuration files into the selected placement. The creation of backups reacts to file events by watching the changes with kernel subsystem inotify. Tools are enabling to return to the selected backup. The way of the backup actualization is configurable. This tool permits the data comparison from selected backups, to show the differences in configurations and eventually to manage a merge among actual and selected backup. Tools also allows a comparison of a configurations of one client or configurations among clients, and to display the mutual differences, eventually to manage their merge.

Machine-Learning Methods in Natural Language Processing
Vodička, Jan ; Otrusina, Lubomír (referee) ; Smrž, Pavel (advisor)
Bachelor's thesis deals with sentiment analysis using machine learning methods, mainly naive bayes classifier. Input text can be classified as positive or negative message. There are used several data sources for create of automatic annotated corpus - social network Twitter, price comparator Heureka, movie database ČSFD and restaurant portal Scuk. These sources are compared in terms of performance in assessing the sentiment. Consequently, the final training dataset is created and used at almost real-time Twitter sentiment analysis.

Application for Recognition of Human Eye Retina
Drozd, Radek ; Hájek, Josef (referee) ; Drahanský, Martin (advisor)
The blood vessels layout in a human eye retina is unique for every person in the world, so it is one of important biometric characteristics. Processing of colour retina image may be a part of an intended biometric system. There is an algorithm for automatic blood vessels detection, optic disc and macula localisation, finding of bifurcation points and saving those as a biometric template presented in this bachelor's thesis. C++ programming language and OpenCV library were used for implementation. The application was tested on a set of colour retina images, taken by fundus camera. The final application is supposed to run on a digital signal processor, developed by Texas Instruments. The thesis gives the introduction into biometrics, signal processing and human eye anatomy.

External Metric Hashing using the D-index
Jakl, Jiří ; Lokoč, Jakub (referee) ; Skopal, Tomáš (advisor)
The goal of this work was to implement recently presented data structure D-Index, to investigate behaviour of this metric access method and to compare its eciency with other indexing methods. As reference, M-Tree, PM-Tree and LAESA (approximated as PM-Tree with leaf pivots only) indexing methods were chosen. Performance measurements and comparison were done on various types of data with dierent distribution of distances. In this work, the D-Index structure was designed to support automatic build up of the index according to initial parameter setup and to allow dynamic insertion as well. Beside implementation of D-Index, an investigation of features of this indexing method was done. To achieve exibility and sucient performance of the solution, great eort was put on optimization and object realization. This allowed testing new ideas for choosing internal parameters and obtaining relevant results from measuring of investigated methods. The common principles (based on properties of metric spaces) of metric access methods were presented as part of their description. This work covered selected metric functions, several pivot selections and some aws of metric access methods.

Machine Learning for Formal Language Model Inference

This bachelor thesis deals with the formal language model inference, which is a science discipline on the research field of artificial intelligence. The aim is to create an appliaction that allows the automatic inference of model, such as the finite state machine, for an unknown formal language from the set of the strings of the unknown formal language using the modified machine learning method.

Automation and control of multilayers deposition by IBS/IBAD
Pavera, Michal ; Sobota, Jaroslav (referee) ; Urbánek, Michal (advisor)
This diploma thesis deals with the automation of the deposition process by ion beam sputtering and ion beam assisted deposition. This work contains drawings of mechanical adjustments of the deposition chamber designed to control shutter and rotation of the target using stepper motors. There are presented ways to control stepper motors and troubleshoot their exact settings. Another task is to design a system for computer control of the deposition process. There are discussed ways to control the ion sources, pressure meter, flow meter and thickness meter, and their connection to a PC via RS-232 and analog-digital converters. It is also designed control program in LabVIEW, which allow automated multilayer deposition. Last part of the thesis deals with testing automatic deposition and results are commented.

Inhibice histon-deacatyláz a mitochondriální pohyb v neuronech
Prokopová, Iva ; Pávek, Petr (advisor) ; Červený, Lukáš (referee)
1 Abstract Histone Deacetylase Inhibition and Mitochondrial Trafficking in Living Neurons Mitochondrial trafficking is necessary for proper neuronal function and its impairment leads to neurodegeneration. We have found significant differences in mitochondrial movement between cortical and striatal neurons derived from rat brain. In striatum, mitochondria move with lower average speeds and decreased overal mitochondrial dynamics than those in cortex, exhibiting the same mitochondrial fractional occupancy in neuronal processes. How this could contribute to high striatal vulnerability in neurodegeneration is discussed. We used two different methods of trafficking analysis: manual and semi-automatic. These analyses determine average movement speeds of single mitochondria, as well as overal mitochondrial dynamics in particular field. Only neurons with established synaptic connections were analyzed, mitochondria travelling in both directions were found to move with equivalent average speeds, thus not further distinguished. Our preliminary results also reveal that histone deacetylase inhibition with trichostatin A increases mitochondrial trafficking in striatal neurons, independently of mitochondrial fractional occupancy and Ca2+ levels in neuronal processes. We suggest that possible mechanism of this effect is...

Music Performance Anxiety and Its Prevention in the Education System
Stevanović, Ena ; KRAJNÝ, Boris (advisor) ; KLÁNSKÝ, Ivan (referee)
Music Performance Anxiety (MPA) is a specific type of anxiety that appears in musicians when they are called to perform in front of others. Mayor causes of MPA are competitive nature of this profession, desire to reach perfection in interpretation, presence of critics and the audience and strong need to control those mental functions that are affected the most by stage fright (such as memory, concentration and muscle coordination). Many authors believe that cognitive factors are the most important for explaination of MPA, especially negative automatic thoughts that appear shortly before the performance. Those dysfunctional thoughts are deforming reality. They are emotionally disturbing and they are affecting performance artistic value. The most effective solutions for this problem are psychological treatment and counceling (identification of emotions and thoughts) and short-term and long-term practicing organization. Education system emphasizes importance of correct ways of memorizing and development of notions and music conception.
