The wound risks of nurses by injection needle at working process
REIDINGEROVÁ, Alena
To work in a field of medicine is a vocation in which we are helping other people to keep, to find and to maintain their health. In performing her job duties a nurse can be threatened by various risk factors. One of these factors is an injury caused by contaminated needle. This injury can consequently cause to transfer more than twenty different kinds of contagious germs, viruses, bacteria and moulds. Unfortunately there is a general tendency to underestimate and not report such thrusts. This happens despite the fact that every nurse is aware of the possible risks connected with injuries caused by contaminated needle. The injuries of medical workers represent a very relevant and up-to-date topic. And there are a growing body of literature monitoring injuries caused by needle, or by another sharp tool and general impact of it on society. In my Bachelor{\crq}s work I have chosen to address questions of thrust and needle injuries among nurses in the working process. The research included a participation of nurses from standard wards a from intensive care wards in the Hospital České Budějovice, a.s. All the collected information is based on direct observations and interviewing. The obtained data were compiled in the form of quantitative research analyses. In my research I have focused on frequency of needle caused injuries among the nurses. I have investigated whether the nurses know preventive procedures and, if so, they adhere to these safety principles. Particular results obtained from the questionnaire{\crq}s survey collected among the nurses were then compared in relation to different areas - within particular hospital wards, between the standard wards and the wards of intensive care. I have also evaluated the nurses as a whole. My hypothesis concerning the higher frequency of needle injuries among the nurses working in intensive cares wards were confirmed by my research. The number of injured nurses at the intensive cares wards was higher by 16% than among the nurses working in the standard wards. My second hypothesis assuming that nurses know all the preventive precautions regarding the needle injuries were disproved by my research results. The research has shown that nurses do not know the safety proceedings, as only 36% of the nurses were able to describe at least three such proceedings. My third hypothesis concerning nurses{\crq} adherence to the safety principles preventing them from such-like injuries were also questioned in my research. As a matter of fact, only 48% of nurses who know the basic safety proceedings always follow these guidelines. My fourth hypothesis addressing supposed differences (between nurses at intensive care unit and standard units) in adhering to the standard approaches in injecting peripheral venous cannula was also confirmed. The resulting difference between the adherences to the standard procedures between each particular unit is 4%. It is my intention to offer the results of my research to the management of the Hospital České Budějovice, but also to the nurses themselves in order for them to realize the risks of possible injuries caused by needles and to introduce security systems for manipulation with sharp tools used in common practice.

Historical roots of the conemporary minimalistic cinema
Böhm, Michal ; HOLÝ, Zdeněk (advisor) ; BOUDA, Marek (referee)
Mimalism represents a film style which still partially predominates on the contemporary art festivals although it reached its peak during in the beginning of the 21. century. Minimalism is a style which supresses the pallete of formalistic tools, expressive elements and typical narative structures and drama. It also works extensively with time and the depiction of everyday. Minimalistic cinema experience thus stimulates the audience to make their own interpretations of the story and the form altogether. The aim of this work is to analyze those historical cinema tendencies that bear most resemblance to the modern style of minimalism. I consider these films (and styles) to be the most predetermenative to the style of minimalism: Italian neorealism, spiritual work of Ozu and Bresson, experimental structural movies, the cinematic masterpiece Jean Dielman, 23 Commerce Quay, 1080 Brussels from Chantal Akerman and Antonionis movies with their narative structure.

Methodology for assessment of urban ecosystem services in the Czech Republic
Frélichová, Jana ; Harmáčková, Veronika Zuzana ; Pártl, Adam ; Vačkář, David
The methodology was created in response to international and national commitments and strategies, which aim to preserve and improve the quality of ecosystems and ecosystem services in urban areas. The methodology provides a framework and procedures for evaluating the role of green infrastructure in cities have not yet been processed in the Czech Republic. Applying the concept of ecosystem services in the purely urban environment represents in the Czech Republic a unique and innovative approach that will contribute to more effective operations of local public policies, especially in urban planning, sustainable development of society and the environment. The methodology contributes to the implementation of the strategic commitments in the Biodiversity Strategy and Strategy for Adaptation to Climate Change in the Czech Republic.

Application for Food Quality Rating for Android
Tomešek, Jan ; Herout, Adam (referee) ; Beran, Vítězslav (advisor)
This thesis deals with design, implementation and testing of a mobile application which represents a part of a newly emerging service for food quality rating in catering facilities. The ratings come directly from consumers. Users can get inspired by ratings from other users, they can add ratings on their own or search for dishes and facilities. The thesis primarily focuses on the user interface design.   The service is brought to users through an application for the Android platform.   Application, which is compatible with 94 % of Android devices on the market and which could be released for real usage in the future, was created in this thesis.   To a reader the thesis provides a look at the current trends in mobile application development, it presents considerations related to the design of a real world application and offers a selection of tools and means which can be used for development or be integrated into the application.

Blaze Gratings with a Ribbed Back Slope
Krátký, Stanislav ; Meluzín, Petr ; Horáček, Miroslav ; Kolařík, Vladimír ; Matějka, Milan ; Chlumská, Jana ; Král, Stanislav
Binary relief phase-modulated gratings provide symmetrical diffraction of the incoming light beam. Asymmetrical gratings, e.g. asymmetrical triangular blazed gratings, are characteristic by an asymmetrical diffraction behavior, where one of the first diffraction orders is more important than the other one. Electron beam lithography is a suitable and flexible tool for patterning of such kind of gratings. High quality results can be readily obtained when the period of the grating is relatively large and the relief depth is relatively low, this is the case of gratings with a small blaze angle. As the blaze angle increases, the quality of result suffers from several patterning-related issues. One of the problems is a reflection of the incoming light beam from the back slope (anti-blaze facet) of the blaze grating. We propose a novel configuration, with a ribbed modulation of the back slope. This modulation is perpendicular to the direction of the grating grooves. This paper presents an analysis of the proposed blazed grating configuration. E-beam pattern generators were used to prepare a few\nsamples of blaze gratings with a ribbed back slope. One part of the experiment was performed with a Gaussianshaped beam and another one with the variable-shaped beam. Results of the experiment are presented.\nFinally, we discuss the optical performance of two blaze gratings with similar parameters, one of them is with the flat back slope and another one is with the ribbed back slope.

Risk management in Corporate Governance
Melyekhov, Yevgen ; Kubíček, Aleš (advisor) ; Velinov, Emil (referee)
The objective of this master's thesis is to describe and analyze role of risk management in corporate governance. Specifically, a thesis focuses on comparison of existing practices in chosen states and examines whether quality of risk management in corporate governance is different in large and mid capitalaization companies. The thesis is divided into several parts: firstly, theory of corporate governance and risk management are introduced with explanation of their interconnection, which also contain defined list of methods and tools for evaluation of risk management and corporate governance quality. In the analytical part of the thesis, comparative analysis of risk management practices in different states is applied with evaluation of their quality, methods of statistical analysis are employed to test the hypothesis about difference of risk management quality in companies with large and mid capitalization and strength and weaknesses of corporate governance and risk management in particular states are summarized.

Determinanty přímých čínských investic do zemí střední a východní Evropy
Belvončíková, Barbora ; Janíčko, Martin (advisor) ; Rod, Aleš (referee)
Chinese outward direct investment is surging and is unique in the sense that its development is much faster than of any other developing country. This thesis investigates the determinants of Chinese outward direct investment (ODI) in eight countries of Central and Eastern Europe throughout the years 2003-2014. Using panel data analysis, the regression model incorporates both traditional macroeconomic variables as well as institutional variables, testing thereby what are Chinese ODI driven by in those post-communist countries. The quality of institutional framework is represented by EBRD indicators, which seem to be more suitable for transition economies. Findings suggest that Chinese MNEs do not access Central and Eastern European countries primarily for market-seeking reasons, however the fact of being a member of the EU boosts Chinese ODI, since entering a member state market grants at the same time access to the whole EU common market and this fact is decisive for China. Also, R&D capacities play an important role in attracting Chinese ODI. On the other hand, Chinese ODI seem not to be associated with a good institutional environment of a host country, only large-scale privatization index is found significant and positively correlated with Chinese ODI inflow. Therefore, the findings of this thesis lead to the conclusion that macroeconomic factors are still more influential than the institutional ones when studying Chinese outward direct investment in Central and Eastern Europe.

Good manufacturing and hygienic practices with processing of freshwater fish.
SMOLA, Jiří
HACCP and good manufacturing practices are tools to the safeguard of food safety. Technologic process of fish processing begins by receiving of live fish and ending with stock and expedition of fish products. Stocking is the operation, whereat is able to get to consumer{\crq}s health hazard. Wrong temperature regulation causes multiplication of microorganisms. Stocking proceed at temperature 0 {--} 2 °C, which is stopping increasing of microorganisms. Practically were tracked difference course temperatures during hours and days. During monitoring was average temperature at 10 AM 2.33 {$\pm$} 1.25°C and average temperature at 10 PM was 2.11 {$\pm$} 1.19°C. During monitoring was average temperature 2.10 {$\pm$} 1.03°C. Maximum temperature was monitored in the morning. The temperature raised trough storage of new products. This short - period increasing is able to influence quality of products.

Analysis of the performance review of the territorial self-governing unit
Němečková, Stanislava ; Svoboda, Michal (advisor) ; Kotrba, Rudolf (referee)
The thesis is focused on the problematic of reviewing the territorial self-governing unit in the Czech Republic. The goal is to compare the approach of the audit firm and approach of a regional office to perform the examination of the TSU. The first chapter defines the general characteristics of the public sector. The second focuses on a specific area of public administration, which represents local government. The third chapter describes the rules and obligations that are related to the budget management of TSU. The fifth chapter, which summarizes the specifics of the accounting and reporting of selected entities. Chapter five is still theoretical definition of audit in the public administration and distinguishes notions of audit and economic review of the TSU. The last part practically compares the prerequisites required for the implementation of the performance review, individual activities conducted under review, the result of these activities, which is the so-called report on the outcome of the examination of the TSU and summarizes the differences. Conclusion of the work shows that it is not important who provides an economic review, but how and especially in what quality is the review carried out.
