Haemonchus contortus - metabolism of anthelmintics and other model xenobiotics in vitro
Kuběnová, Markéta ; Skálová, Lenka (advisor) ; Lamka, Jiří (referee)
Most economic losses in ruminant are associated with gastrointestinal parasite infections. Haemonchus contortus is one of the most pathogenic parasites of small ruminants (sheep, goat). H. contortus exhibits considerable adaptability to unfavourable conditions and its occurrence is world-wide. Today, the treatment of haemonchosis is complicated due to resistance of H. contortus to common anthelmintics, especially those with benzimidazole structure. Biotransformation enzymes, that protect parasite against toxic effect of anthelmintics, may contribute to development of resistance. The aim of this project was to study the biotransformation of benzimidazole anthelmintic flubendazole in H. contortus and to find out biotransformation of other model xenobiotics. The results showed that cytosolic NADPH-dependent enzymes of H. contortus deactivate flubendazole via reduction of its carbonyl group. Substantial reduction of other xenobiotics was also found. Significant activity of glutathion S- tranferases may aid to anthelmintics further deactivation. The new information about biotransformation enzymes of parasites contribute to understanding of mechanism of resistance.

Cannabis - history and present
Skokanová, Tereza ; Hubertová, Lucie (advisor) ; Klimešová, Anna (referee)
My work is about history of cannabis, about positive size of this plant, about negative size of this plant and about the antidrug politic size against this plant. My work is consists of five main parts. I am starting to talk about history of those plants and I am trying to introduce you with this plants. The second part is about positive size of cannabis plant. The basic positive of cannabis is healing effects and use in the agriculture as well in an industry. The third part is opositte of second part so I will be talking about negative size of cannabis. We know that cannabis has healing power but in my work I will show you danger and harmfulness of cannabis on the users. The fourth part is about antidrug policy against cannabis. Mostly I will talk about OSN because they are one of the biggest antidrug policy on the world. Still we going to talk about antidrug policy in an Europe Unie and of course in the Czech Republic. Last part of my work is a research which is focus on students in Czech Republic and their sentiment about cannabis.

Energy balance of crushing tablets
Čámský, Václav ; Řehula, Milan (advisor) ; Musilová, Marie (referee)
Čámský Václav - Rigorózní práce - 2006 This work deals with energy balance of tablet destruction. The characterization of individual groups of tablets and characterization of two fillers - lactose and microcrystalline cellulose- for direct compression is mentioned in the theoretical part. The aim of the work is to find out the influence of the type of a dry filler on the punch displacement and to describe the dependence between the parameter of the compression process E2 and parameter of the destructive process DE. The determination was carried out with the tablets of Avicel PH 102, Flowlac 100 and lactose anhydride using T1 - FRO 50 device. It follows from the results that destruction displacement of microcrystalline cellulose is substantially longer than in the case of lactoses. Microcrystalline cellulose compared to lactoses consumes significantly less amount of energy. The cycle rate 0.1 mm/s was used for measurement of mechanical resistance.

Czech protectorate press in Reinhard Heydrich era
Renčínová, Pavla ; Bednařík, Petr (advisor) ; Kryšpínová, Jitka (referee)
A total power over the Czech official print became an integral part of the Nazis' policy during the Second World War. The print in all occupied countries should have served as one of the most important means by which the Nazis wanted to promote their ideology. Reinhard Heydrich, who came to the Protectorate Bohemia and Moravia in autumn 1941, at first needed Czech people to cooperate for war industry. He was ready doing anything to achieve it. There were some journalists who /for various reasons/ helped him a lot. They did not only administratively execute his instructions but also took part in many fascist agitations. They had close connections with Gestapo and occupation authorities. On regular press conferences they were given instructions how to inform about what 's happening in the protectorate as well as on the battle field. As the result, they were responsible for many people's lives and fates and meant a great danger for whole nation. Besides these loyal quislings there were a number of such journalists who cooperated with the Czech resistance and exile in London. More than a hundred of them were executed or died in concentrate camps. London radio broadcasting showed how little people believed in the official protectorate print. Although the Nazis were quite successful in threatening the Czech...

Linguistic variation in the Spanish of Cuba
Laurencio Tacoronte, Ariel ; Zavadil, Bohumil (advisor) ; Čermák, Petr (referee)
Variation in Cuban Spanish Abstract The aim of this thesis is to deal with the topic of variation in Cuban Spanish, with a special emphasis on the Havana variety, one of the most innovative and recognizable within the island's linguistic landscape. The work is divided into three sections: phonetics and phonology, lexis and semantics, morphology and syntax. The cases described are illustrated with entries taken from a lexico- graphical work of personal authorship, or likewise with usage examples mainly taken from the Reference Corpus of Contemporary Spanish (CREA). On the basis of the analysis of the collected data, this paper examines the state of variability and balance inherent to the system, in order to deepen in the understanding of the mechanisms that shape this language variety.

The diploma thesis deals with the building-technology construction preparation of the Multifunctional House Brno Gajdošova. The paper contains the technical report concerning this building; coordination of building situation; time and financial plan of the construction; study of the main technological stages; equipment project; design of major building machinery and mechanisms; schedule of the main construction building; technological regulations for making of the monolithic panel and the green flat roof; inspection and test plans in accordance with these regulations. Furthermore, two technologies referring to the execution of the monolithic roof panel are compared including the comparison of the test plan as well as the budget for the main building. The specialisation is in the field of construction of buildings with special focus on the layouts and the rust of the main building.

This thesis addresses the construction of steel buildings in Bílovec. In this work we are solved structurally technological study of the construction of steel buildings. The work deals with the traffic situation around the building and a landing distance. The thesis focuses on the installation for the steel skeleton and industrial floors of wire reinforced concrete, time and financial plan, project, site equipment, design of main construction machines and mechanisms, timelines, capital construction object, then control plan for the steel skeleton and industrial floor. Moreover, it is processed itemized budget including bills of quantities, Risk Plan for the steel skeleton and industrial flooring and design details. The basis for this work was the design documentation for the realization of this project.

Stability measures of optimal solution of LP problems with regards to the target function
Sůra, Jan ; Pelikán, Jan (advisor) ; Sokol, Ondřej (referee)
Real-world systems usually contain some degree of natural uncertainty, their parameters are more or less variable. When seeking optimal solution, optimization models often disregard this variability and consider parameters of the model to be constant. This thesis focuses on methods of post-optimization analysis. Thorough post-optimization analysis should be a part of every optimization process of systems with variable parameters. Post-optimization analysis can identify parameters whose variability poses the greatest threat to the systems performance. This thesis describes some of the basic post-optimization methods and then a new method based on interval arithmetics is formulated.
