Study of historical expansion of brown trout lineages in the Czech republic and in Slovakia republic with using mtDNA markers.
JAŠKOVÁ, Iva
The brown trout (Salmo trutta) is an ecologically, economically, aesthetically fish species whose poor conservation status in the European countries calls for further attention and action. The continuing erosion of the genetic resources of brown trout populations by human activities calls for strategies to reverse the current trend. We studied a genetic diversity of population of brown trout in the territory of Czech R. and in Slovakia using genetic markers. In the fragments of mitochondrial DNA (gen for ND-5/6) and nuclear DNA (gen for LDH1) amplified through PCR the differences were searched with the use of RFLP. In tested populations seven haplotypes were founded, four haplotypes were represented in almost of all populations. The ``Danubian haplotypes{\crqq} were strictly confined to the Danubian and Vistula drainages, the ``Atlantic haplotypes{\crqq} dominated in all populations, most of the total molecular variance (72 %) was attributed to differences within populations. Two alleles at LDHC1٭ - the ancestral ٭100 and ٭90 (at a high frequency) were revealed. This genotypic replacement is considered to be due to anthropogenic activities.

Formation of regional identity in the inner periphery Czech; case study Neveklov region
Skalová, Vlasta ; Fialová, Dana (advisor) ; Bičík, Ivan (referee)
This diploma thesis had two basic aims. The first was an analysis of the processes shaping regional identity particularly of the study area of Neveklovsko and the identification of the inner potential in the region from the socio-economic and sociocultural aspects. The second aim was to identify the differences in the various areas of Czech region, specifically the high concentration of settlements with a predominately tourist and recreational function, where the research was conducted within the grant project. The research was carried out on using a field survey and questionnaire. The Neveklovsko area is an example of a rural area of the inner periphery containing a high concentration of settlements with the predominating tourist and recreational function. The Second World War played an important role in shaping regional identity, particularly because of forced displacements and its use as a training ground of the SS. Keywords: second housing, regional identity, countryside, inner periphery

Brood parasitism in Common Pochard - a proteomic analysis
Petrželková, Adéla ; Hořák, David (advisor) ; Piálková, Radka (referee)
Conspecific brood parasitism (CBP) is a situation, when female (a parasite) lays egg or eggs in a nest of other conspecific female (a host). Then she leaves the nest and doesn't provide any subsequent parental care, such incubation and care for young. To distinguish between parasitic and host egg or young could be difficult, because there are not obvious morphological differences. CBP was documented in more than 234 species and its frequency is different between species, but also between population of the same species. The main aim of my master thesis was to describe the degree of parasitism in two population of Common Pochard (Aythya ferina). The field work was carried out from 2004-2006 in Třeboň Biosphere Reserve and form 2008-2010 in Poodří Landscape Protected Area. We found that the degree of CBP is relatively high. In Třeboň was found 72 % (41) of parasitized nests and 32 % (165) of parasitic eggs and in Poodří 93 % (39) of parasitized nests and 37 % (153) of parasitic eggs. The mean number of eggs per clutch was around 9 and mean number of host eggs per clutch was 6 in Třeboň. The mean number of eggs per clutch in Poodří was about 10, and the mean number of host eggs was also about 6. The mean number of parasitic eggs per clutch was 3 resp. 4. It was also found, that parasitized nests are...

Motivation of Higher Education in Czech Republic and France. A Comparative Analysis

3 ABSTRACT Thesis title: Monitoring of physical activity of pupils in the ninth classes in Aš. Objective: In this work, we tried to monitore leisure physical activities of pupils in the ninth classes in all schools in Aš. Methodology of the work: In order to meet the objectives of the work a questionnaire survey was carried out. I asked six teachers from four Aš schools that participated in the research to cooperate with me. A total n = 143 correctly completed questionnaires were collected from the pupils, after previous consultation with the school management, distributed to the teachers of physical education and applied in the 9th classes. In general, the subject of the research was sporting activities which pupils practise in their free time and also their attitudes to sport and physical education. Results of he work: The research shows that the numer of children who do not devote their free time to any physical activities is increasing. Unfortunately, the percentage of children who reported that they do not do any sport or they do not like physical education is too high at their age. Furthermore, it appears that there are not big differences in attitudes to physical activity in leisure time between boys and girls. In our study we discovered that students who engage in a physical activity prefer doing it...

Determination of photon dose equivalent rate by means of field multichannel gamma-ray spectrometers GS-256 and GR-320, and by radiation detector Gamma-Scout.
Jednotlivými přístroji byly stanoveny hodnoty v jednotkách příkonu fotonového dávkového ekvivalentu (Sv/h) a ty pak srovnány. Byly očekávány odchylky v naměřených datech. Odchylky byly různé pro rozdílné způsoby výpočtu přikonu fotonového dávkového ekvivalentu z naměřených dat. Z terénních výsledků vyplývá, že výsledky jednotlivých přístrojů lze porovnávat, přičemž rozdíly jsou zapříčiněny různou detekční účinností a různou kalibrací jednotlivých přístrojů.

Dejmalová, Lenka ; Starý, Karel (advisor) ; Šebková, Helena (referee) ; Matošková, Jana (referee)
The aim of the thesis is to explore the first-year undergraduates' strategies of self-management. The thesis contains the theoretical and empirical part. The theoretical part deals with the transformation of higher education in Europe and in the Czech Republic followed by the changes in the university student career and lifestyle. Special attention is devoted to university socialization, the personality of the university student and their new roles. The next chapter of the theoretical part presents the concepts of personal management and academic self-management. Effective and successful university study and personal strategies of self-management then appear to be interdependent. The aim of the qualitative research is to explore and describe how the first-year students organize their study. Firstly, the content analysis of selected study plans was carried out and the orientation questionnaire survey was conducted among 165 first-year students at the Faculty of Philosophy and Arts, University of West Bohemia in Pilsen. Later, also other methods were applied: the diary of study week and electronic interviews. The data were analysed through open coding and thematic coding. Two basic types of students were distinguished based on the dominant out-of-class activities and the diversity of tendencies in independent...
