Disertační práce se zabývá tématem osobní organizace vysokoškolských studentů v současném dynamickém prostředí vysoké školy. Cílem empirického výzkumu bylo prozkoumat, jak studenti organizují své studium na začátku studia. V teoretické části jsme pojednali o Boloňském procesu a hlavních změnách, které nastaly v terciárním vzdělávání a proměnily studentskou kariéru vysokoškolských studentů. Zabývali jsme se také vysokoškolskou socializací a osobností vysokoškolského studenta, jeho tradičními i novými rolemi a proměnami životního stylu. Byly představeny dva pohledy na vysokoškolské studium akcentující důraz na kognitivní rozvoj osobnosti studenta a také význam oborově nespecifických dovedností osobní organizace pro úspěšné vysokoškolské studium. V kvalitativním výzkumu vycházíme z konceptů osobní organizace a akademického sebeřízení, jež vymezují klíčové dovednosti pro úspěšné vysokoškolské studium i profesní uplatnění. Nejprve jsme přistoupili k obsahové analýze studijních plánů a orientačnímu dotazníkovému průzkumu mezi studenty 1. ročníku FF ZČU v Plzni. Použili jsme také snímek studijního týdne a elektronické dotazování. Data jsme analyzovali technikou otevřeného kódování a tématického kódování. The aim of the thesis is to explore the first-year undergraduates' strategies of self-management. The thesis contains the theoretical and empirical part. The theoretical part deals with the transformation of higher education in Europe and in the Czech Republic followed by the changes in the university student career and lifestyle. Special attention is devoted to university socialization, the personality of the university student and their new roles. The next chapter of the theoretical part presents the concepts of personal management and academic self-management. Effective and successful university study and personal strategies of self-management then appear to be interdependent. The aim of the qualitative research is to explore and describe how the first-year students organize their study. Firstly, the content analysis of selected study plans was carried out and the orientation questionnaire survey was conducted among 165 first-year students at the Faculty of Philosophy and Arts, University of West Bohemia in Pilsen. Later, also other methods were applied: the diary of study week and electronic interviews. The data were analysed through open coding and thematic coding.
