The purpose of using of financial instruments and assessment of the management of South Bohemia region is also analyzed. The topic of the bachelor thesis solves the issue of public budgets that is - not for the first look - touching each of us. Each citizen pays taxes, administrative charges or local taxes, etc., that are revenues of local budgets. It is important to understand how significant the principal of the fiscal decentralization is and when competences are delegated from the central level to the level of regions and municipalities - on this level, they are closer to the citizen. This stands even for local budgets that the citizen can control, influence by elected representatives or he can go to meetings of the representative board on the regional and even on the municipal (local) level because of the decentralization.

Algorithmic Methods for Generating Acoustic Music
Dos Santos Agostinho Filho, Gilberto ; MRKVIČKA, Luboš (advisor) ; RATAJ, Michal (referee)
Systematic compositional techniques have been used throughout the history of Western Music, but it was the advent of the personal computer that made algorithmic composition a common reality in the contemporary music scene. The post-war period witnessed the development of several new types of compositional techniques, such as the use of chance, stochastic models and numeric series, all of which heavily influenced the development of computer music. The three main types of computer algorithms used for producing music, i.e. the rule-based, stochastic and artificial intelligent algorithms, are to be analysed. The focus of the present work will be on the algorithmic creation of acoustic musical works, particularly via the automatic generation of musical scores, and the aesthetic consequences of this kind of approach.

Cribra orbitalia - prevalence and coincidence with another signs of diseases on skeleton. Medieval findings from the Czech Republic territory.
Poláková, Veronika ; Brůžek, Jaroslav (referee) ; Likovský, Jakub (advisor)
Cribra orbitalia represents one of the most frequent bone pathologies in skeletal remains of past populations. This lesion is characterised by porous, furrowed even trabecular disruption on the outer table of the compact bone on the orbital roof. Although the origin of cribra orbitalia is linked to marrow hyperplasia as a consequence of iron deficiency anemia, even other causes are not ruled out. Both occurences cribra orbitalia alone and coincidence with other signs of diseases have been recorded. Research of this study applies to cribra orbitalia as a long- term stress indicator on the skeleton and a symptom of specific diseases or anemic syndroms. Skeletal remains from Czech medieval sites with presence of cribra orbitalia as well as whole graveyard from Oškobrh were analysed. Macroscopical investigation did not demonstrate periodic coincidence of cribra orbitalia and specific bone signs of the diseases. However, the following bone changes have been observed: hyperostosis porotica, increased vascularization, supranasal porosity, inflammatory- hemorrhagic reaction on the endocranium which can in terms of differential diagnosis help to clarify the nature and/or cause of the origin of cribra orbitalia. Comparison of the population from Oškobrh with other medieval graveyards showed that frequency of...

Nuclear Society - United States of America 1945 - 1964
Ulvr, Michal ; Kovář, Martin (advisor) ; Skřivan, Aleš (referee) ; Tajovský, Ladislav (referee)
Michal Ulvr Abstract It was the near-end of the Second World War, which defined the popular reception of the Atomic bomb for upcoming decade. In the first year of the nuclear monopoly, the feeling of uncertainty and fear of death in the nuclear war was not yet present in strength. The mood of relative safety dominated the American society till the fall of the monopoly in 1949. Since the first atomic explosion occurred in the USSR, the atmosphere of fear, that never faded back and was latent since August and September 1945, made an exuberant appearance in press and other media. Suddenly, the American government made (after years of neglect) a great effort to calm down the uncertainty of the public. A Federal Civil Defense Administration was established at the end of 1950 and provided more or less useful information, propaganda, material and logistical support for a war with the Soviet Union, which was expected to come sooner or later. Plenty of educational and propaganda pamphlets, books and training films were produced in determination to make it clear, that survival under nuclear attack was possible. And indeed, at that time, there was even a good chance, that keeping some basic survival rules in mind an individual could come out of a nuclear attack relatively unscathed. Administration even tried to...
