The use of biomass ash
Ochecová, Pavla ; Tlustoš, Pavel (advisor) ; Radim, Radim (referee)
One of the most frequently used sources of renewable energy is biomass, mainly wood biomass. Incineration is the most common technology utilizing the energy from biomass to produce heat. A byproduct of these technologies is ash, whose composition depends on the feedstock composition and the incineration technologies. Due to the high content of valuable nutrients in ash, one of the suitable option for ash utilization seems to be application into agricultural or forestry land. Therefore, it is necessary to test response of soils and plants and look for the most suitable combination of soil additive (biomass ash), and plants. Experimental part of PhD thesis was divided into the incubation experiment and the vegetation pot experiments. The incubation experiment: The efficiency of ash addition at two application rates was tested for nutrients enrichment in different soils within period of 56 days. The vegetation pot experiments: The two plants Triticum aestivum L: (three-year experiment) and Lolium perenne L. (one-year experiment) were planted in the 5L pots. Soils were treated with ash or ash combinated by superphoshate and flue gas desulfurization gypsum. For both plants, we evaluated the plant growth, biomass production and content of macro, micro and toxic elements in the biomass and in the soils.

The analysis of the causes and prevention of collisions of motor vehicles with wild animals in Western Bohemia
Cagáňová, Tereza ; Šťastný, Karel (advisor)
The aim of the bachelor work is to analyze the causes and to propose measures to reduce collisions of motor vehicles with animals at the territory of the Western Bohemian region. The theoretical part of the bachelor work will be treated as a literary review. The individual chapters deal with themes of landscape fragmentation, development and intensity of traffic and transport's impact on the landscape and wildlife. The emphasis is placed on the migratory routes of wildlife and the current state and solutions to migration objects. The practical part of the bachelor work focuses on the actual analysis of collision of motor vehicles with animals in the territory of Western Bohemia and evaluation of the functionality of migration objects that are implemented in the stated territory. In the conclusion further options for solutions leading to a reduction in mortality of wildlife and the related increase of road safety are propounded.

Comprehensive study of internet microcommunities
Hejl, Radomír ; Raška, Ondřej (advisor) ; Tůma, Michal (referee)
The purpose of this work is to describe a comprehensive approach to internet micro-communities in its complexity both in theory and in practice. The work is focused above all on internet community managers or their owners and should provide them with theoretical and practical experience and procedures leading to easy founding of these micro-communities and at the same time how to expand and make them profitable. The work draws from practical experiences during development and administration of a traveller community ORBION.CZ and a pregnant/mother eMimino.cz community. I drew first from common principles in scientific literature and then tried to enrich this approach from practice and offer problem solutions based on my experience. This way I think I can treat the problems in an interesting manner. The work is divided into several topics representing community life-cycle. In the first place there is a notion clarification in theory and typology of internet communities. Then follows theoretical definition of users structure, description of community origin, its growth, sustainable growth and solution of frequent problems from practical point of view. The last part aims at theoretical possibilities of monetization and consequently business model options in practice.

The subject of the bachelor thesis is about a concept of pedestrian bridge across the river Svratka. The work includes a statical calculation of the pedestrian bridge construction of one ground, which has been chosen from three other options. This chosen alternative is formed by a prestressed concrete´s plank with parapet´s supports of a variable cut earned by outer switchable cables. The calculation of the stress influence has been made by Scia Engineer Software. The construction recognition has been accomplished manually. A process of construction´s works are not going to be treated in this work.

Metody oceňování úrokových opcí
Pumprová, Zuzana ; Málek, Jiří (advisor) ; Baran, Jaroslav (referee)
The subject of this thesis are selected interest rate models and valuation of interest rate derivatives, especially interest rate options. Time-homogeneous one-factor short rate models, Vasicek and Cox-Ingersoll-Ross, and time-inhomogeneous short rate model, Hull{White, are treated. Heath-Jarrow-Morton framework is introduced as an alternative to short rate models, evolving the entire term structure of interest rates. The short rate models are shown to be special cases of models within the framework. The models are derived using the risk-neutral pricing methodology.
