Tereza Vondráková Bachelor thesis: Media Policy of Council of Europe Focusing on the New Media - Abstract Bachelor thesis "Media Policy of Council of Europe Focusing on the New Media" summarizes all crucial documents concerning new media that have been adopted by Council of Europe. Council of Europe's main concern is protection and promotion of human rights and freedoms. One of its tasks is a surveillance of media and its evolution. Permanent technological development has major influence on media landscape and leads to new communication platforms. Council of Europe decided to examine those platforms to decide whether they can be included among other media. And therefore if they could have the same responsibilities and rights as the traditional media. Bachelor thesis focuses on description of Council of Europe and its status as an international organization. First part of the thesis addresses the explanation of terms new media and social networks. The Czech EU-Entry in Sudetendeutsche Zeitung and Sudetenpost since December 1997 to June 2004

The czech-german and the czech-austrian relations are influenced by reminiscent elements and controversy in the interpretation of our shared history so far. The theme of the postwar transfer of the sudetengerman minority from the Czechoslowakia figures among the czech-german and czech- austrian "roadblocks" on the front. The postwar Beneš-decrees has influenced the processus of the czech EU-integration eminently. This text follows the EU -integration of the Czech republic and its nuances how are they presented in Sudetendeutsche Zeitung and Sudetenpost. It aims to describe the emphasized aspects of the integration and analyzes the context, in which is this problematics in the years 1997 - 2004 reflected. The analysis of the media agenda of the oficial paper of Sudetendeutsche Landsmannschaft and Sudetendeutsche Landsmannschaft in Österreich unveils the czech EU-entry from the sudetengerman point of view and tries to contribute the understanding of the "sudetengerman problem". The essay apllies two metodic approaches. The quantitative content analysis examines the frequence of the selected media contents, idientifies their context, neutrality or eventually opinion affection and makes this way the articles in Sudetendeustche Zeitung more transparent. To the communication of the towns in the period before the Battle of the White Mount (The correspondence among New Town of Prague and some king's towns in the central part of Polabí)

The submitted thesis aims to scan the written communication among the city councils of royal towns in the period before the Battle of the White Mount, particularly the correspondence among the New Town of Prague and Royal Towns in the Central Part of Polabí, explicitly Český Brod, Kolín, Kouřim, Kutná Hora and Nymburk. The research was based mainly on 20 town registers of the period and on the extant scripts which enabled me to set up both the communication process and particular agents. Thus we were offered the insight into the townhall, its offices, circumstances of the origin of missivs, we observed individual characters and institutions involved in the negotiation procedures. We came across the issue of messenger service mediating the delivery and last but not least we were concerned about receiving correspondence, its interpretation at the time and the content of discussed matters. Another issue we dealt with was the terminology ie. definition of written communication, diplomacy terminology, especially register issue defined as supplemental office book in publishers'offices containing the office scripts. Každý člověk je nositelem nějakých hodnot; některé hodnoty uznává a vůči některým se vymezuje. Nikdo se nenarodí s komplexní, stálou hodnotovou orientací, se kterou projde celým životem aniž by změnil své názory. Hodnoty, které jedinec uznává, do velké míry ovlivňuje jeho okolí- rodina, přátelé, práce, životní zkušenosti; toto okolí však také prochází určitými změnami. Společnosti se mění v čase a s nimi i jejich členové. Zda jsou hodnoty předem dané a lidem vrozené nebo ne, tedy jestli se mohou měnit nebo zda existují všeobecné stále hodnoty vlastní všem lidem bylo předmětem diskuzí učenců stovky let. Až sociologie a další humanitní a společenské vědy podaly přesvědčivé důkazy o tom, že hodnoty v lidské společnosti jsou relativní, tedy že se mění. K napětí v hodnotové sféře, tedy problematice změn v lidských hodnotách a hodnotových změn ve společnosti, se vyjádřil J. Benda: "Prvořadou úlohu v něm (hodnotovém napětí) hraje racionální zdůvodňování a argumentace. Existují i pohledy, které zdůrazňují stabilitu a neměnnost hodnot, ale v moderním myšlení jsou tyto pohledy poměrně ojedinělé." 1 Jako jeden z mnoha příkladů změn v hodnotové sféře uvedu rozdílné nahlížení na svět obyvatel starého Řecka a lidí žijících v současném západním světě. Social Position of Applicants for Asylum in Czech Republic

This dissertation focuses on questions of social standing of asylum applicants, as a result of foreign migration transfers onto the territory of the Czech Republic. The attention is orientated on the asylum framework legislation and on the institutions, which are charged to fulfil this legislation or those which operate in the field of asylum administration in the Czech Republic. Accent is put on the very process of the asylum administration procedure itself. The conclusion contains evaluation of the recent changes and eventual future development in the issues of asylum administration.

1 ABSTRACT SPECIFIC OF PATENT LAW IN PHARMACEUTICAL INDUSTRY This thesis scopes on particularities of patent law with regard to pharmaceuticals. It describes the basics of patent law while focusing mainly on international treaties, in particular on systems established by EPC and TRIPS. The patent system in USA and in the Czech Republic is also noted. This thesis is divided into seven chapters. In the first chapter named sources of law international institutions, treaties and situation in European union, USA and Czech Republic are described here. This chapter also deals with basic legal instruments such as patent, corporate invention or utility model. The next chapter is focused on individual conditions that need to be met in order to grant a certain patent - the most basic are novelty, inventive step and industrial applicability. The following chapter deals with problems associated with costly development of new drugs and the need of companies to get the longest possible protection for their inventions. A special chapter addresses exceptions to the stiff patent regulation. Described in the next chapter is the compulsory license, a legal instrument not very particular in the Czech Republic but relevant in some developing countries used in order to secure better availability of drugs to society. Influence of BASEL III regulation on risk management in banking

The diploma thesis focuses on the regulatory framework of the BASEL III in coherence with risk management and measurement of market and credit risks. The accent is focused upon methodology of calculation and determination of the capital requirements of above mentioned risks. In the introductory part of the thesis are mentioned basic procedures regarding risk management as well as theoretical methodology and development of calculation of the capital requirements in coherence with current standard BASEL III. In the practical part of the thesis are presented capital management policies with regards to BASEL III in Deutsche Bank AG, globally presented institution and Komerční banka, a.s., operating on the Czech market. Accented are mainly the expositions of the institutions and the size of the capital required by the regulatory framework.

Cílem rigorózní práce je analyzovat a vyhodnotit digitální informační zdroje v oboru psychologie komerčně nebo volně dostupné v prostředí World Wide Web. Úvodní část práce obsahuje charakteristiku oboru a jeho informační potřeby. Jsou zmíněny instituce, kde vědecká informace vzniká a kde je využívána. V druhé části je pojednáno o problematice elektronického publikování a o terminologických otázkách. Třetí stěžejní část je věnována prezentaci výsledků analýzy a hodnocení vybraných reprezentantů jednotlivých typů digitálních informačních zdrojů z oboru psychologie, kterými zde jsou online časopisy, elektronické archivy a digitální knihovny, bibliografické a plnotextové databáze, elektronické slovníky, elektronické knihy, kolaborativní systémy typu wiki, blogy a osobní stránky, katalogy a rozcestníky. V dílčích částech jsou zdroje charakterizovány a zhodnoceny z hlediska způsobu zpřístupňování obsahu uživatelům. V závěrech je diskutováno o problematice důvěryhodnosti digitálních zdrojů, jsou shrnuty a vyhodnoceny analýzou získané poznatky a formulována doporučení pro využívání zdrojů v ČR

The new fathers phenomenon

Klíčovou sociální institucí je rodina. I přes množství svých současných podob je stále nezpochybnitelně místem primárních sociálních vztahů, tvořících oporu identity sociálního jedince. Každý jedinec je, po různě velkou část svého života, členem alespoň jedné rodiny, jejíž konstelace1 se s postupem času mění. Probíhá v ní socializace, proces v němž se reprodukují základní hodnoty společnosti. S tím se v rodině ale reprodukuj í l stereotypy, očekávání a interpretační schémata vztahů v rodině. Stejně jako všechny ostatní sociální instituce se l rodina pod vlivem různých sociálních změn mění, nebo je ovlivňuje. S tím se mění i ustálené vztahy, očekávání a tradice spj até s rodinným životem. Mění se také sociální postavení jednotlivých členů rodiny - muže, ženy a dítěte. V souvislosti s feministickou vlnou zájmu o problémy žen v soudobých společnostech se poslední dobou objevuje čím dál častěji požadavek rovnoměrné pozornosti problematice proměn mužství a otcovství.
