The meaning of the education in secondary prevention of ischemic heart disease
Adamcová, Jitka ; Tůmová, Andrea (advisor) ; Býma, Svatopluk (referee) ; Prchalová, Eva (referee)
The main idea of my work is to give a comprehensive view of education problems and its meaning in secondary prevention of ischemic heart disease. As the education is all life process it isn't possible to find a complex effect upon further development of ischemic heart disease in such a short time. The theoretical part of my work shows the terms as aterosklerosis, ischemic heart disease, risk factors and education. In the next part I try to find out life style of clients (patients) and their knowledge. I use questionnaire. One part of this questionnaire is a small objective inquiry of a nurse. After 2 -3 months I compare the improvement in particular spheres of life style. 50 clients (patients) of a private cardio surgery have taken part in my research. In the end I can say that even if the results of my research weren't 100 per cent positive at all 50 clients (patients), they show unambiguous contribution of the education in secondary prevention of cardio vascular diseases.

Modern Women´s Priorities: Career or Motherhood
DROZDOVÁ, Lucie
The thesis presents an overview about the fact in what extent contemporary women want to devote themselves to a full-time upbringing of children and a career. The theoretical part gives a description of the development of a woman status in relation to the motherhood and employment. It shows an image of a contemporary woman, family and gender roles. An issue of harmonization of the motherhood and career nowadays is described as well. The practical part processes a research focused on finding out the priorities of contemporary women in relation to their career and a full-time upbringing of children. The aim of the thesis was to find out whether women prefer their employment and career to a full-time upbringing of children. Another set objective was to ascertain if women decide for both roles and whether they manage them simultaneously. The research of a quantitative character was chosen to achieve the objectives and to test the hypotheses. The used methodology was a questioning in a form of an anonymous questionnaire. The basic sample of the quantitative research consisted of young women aged between 24 and 45 living in the Pilsen region. 250 questionnaires were distributed in the period of February and March 2012. 146 completed questionnaires were returned. The total return was 58%. The results were processed in the xlsx programme using contingency tables and a correspondence analysis. If we summarize all the data obtained by processing the research, we conclude that children remain the priority of contemporary women. Another finding is that women try to combine these two areas despite obstacles which can appear. It would be interesting to extend the research in a similarly focused study but with a differentiation of subjective and objective factors influencing respondents´ opinions. A subsequent comparison of the results would show the ratio between internal and external factors influencing the priorities.

The Folk Song as a Source of Inspiration in Activities in Music Lessons in Primary Schools
Brabníková, Klára ; Herden, Jaroslav (advisor) ; Váňová, Hana (referee)
Teachers often use folk songs as a means to teach children singing in tune and other musical skills or music theory. However, a deeper knowledge of the song itself happens to be missing. Yet, learning more about the music, looking deeper into its core can open new possibilities of its use in the classroom. The aim of this work is to demonstrate the path that a teacher should go through when, trying to gather knowledge about a folk song. Folk music is no more as popular as it used to be. It is therefore necessary for the teacher to spend more energy on the preparation to make it more attractive for the students. Folk song has the important feature of flexibility. The end of the 20lh century brought a new style of music combining folk songs with pop music. Its authors find inspiration in folklore, making it the basis of their own creative work. Such music thus reveals another possibility to bring the folk song closer to the today's audience and especially the young generation. Nevertheless, for the practical part I have chosen a different strategy: through encountering the folk music (songs of the southern Bohemia in this case) children learn about some features of modern pop music (from jazz through mid stream pop song to pop music. Statistical image analysis in quality control
Legát, David ; Antoch, Jaromír (advisor) ; Dohnal, Gejza (referee) ; Tunák, Maroš (referee)
Title: Statistical image analysis in quality control Author: David Legát Department: Department of probability and mathematical statistics Supervisor: Prof. RNDr. Jaromír Antoch, CSc. Abstract: Currently, necessity to handle unstructured data rises significantly. One important area of unstructured data manipulation is signal processing such as audio and video, for which there exist many procedures. This work deals with the statistical approach to image processing, in which the image is interpreted as a representative of a random field. It describes two problems: removing noise from an image which facilitates better interpretation of the image, and image classification, in which we try to identify and recognize objects displayed. Part of the work aimed at eliminating of noise deals primarily with the use of MCMC simulation methods. These procedures can be tested in software that is included. Part of the work dealing with the classification of the image describes various modifications of classification trees methods. An example of image processing, which is the identification of defects in woven fabrics, is presented at the end. 1

Reasons for U.S. veto in the United Nations Security Council on behalf of Israel, 1972-1997
Hlaváčová, Lenka ; Přikryl, Pavel (advisor) ; Halás, Matúš (referee)
The aim of this thesis is to define the reasons of the U.S veto on behalf of Israel in the United Nations Security Council through analysis of the drafted resolutions. Author presents the resolutions vetoed by the U.S. on Israel in 1972-1997. The analysis focuses on four fields: who proposes the resoltutions, what is the subject of the resotutions, what language is used in the resultions, and what is the stance of the U.S. Representative to UN. Author states that the sponsors of the resolutions aren't relevant for the U.S. decision-making. Author rather supports the opinion that the language used and the intention to solve the Arab-Israeli Conflict by the UN SC are most probably the reasons for the U.S veto. The unbalancedness of the resoltuions (in the U.S. Understanding) is also one of the causes of the veto. U.S is refusing to condemn Israel in UN SC resolutions and it is trying to have the Arab-Israeli conflict solved by the parties involved and not by the third party who would impose the conditions of the settlement.

Joe Sacco and Guy Delisle : views on comics journalism
Bárta, Jan ; Sládková, Hana (referee) ; Kruml, Milan (advisor)
Bachelor thesis "Joe Sacco and Guy Delisle: Two Views on Comics Journalism" deals with the possibility of existence of comics journalism, taking examples from work of two contemporary cartoonists, non-fiction comics authors Joe Sacco and Guy Delisle. To begin with, I'm trying to define comics phenomena and introduce its expressive devices and comics-specific techniques. Afterwards follows a short summary of history of comics, with a particular focus on history of American and Franco-Belgian comics. Then I would in short introduce the life and work of our two cartoonists together with a brief comparison of their visual style. The main part of the thesis is nevertheless the analysis and comparison of Joe Sacco's investigative reporting comic Footnotes in Gaza and Guy Delisle's comic travelogue Burma Chronicles. In the final part I'm due to answer the question of whether the comics journalism is possible and what could be its contribution.

Cost-effectiveness of vaccination against the bacteria Neisseria meningitidis B in children aged 0-4 years
Kříž, David ; Pažitný, Peter (advisor) ; Kandilaki, Daniela (referee)
After many years of research have been developed, and then in January 2013 approved by the European Medicines Agency new multicomponent vaccine against meningococcal disease Group B Bexsero from Novartis. Meningococcal disease, because of its rapid progression and tragic consequences, a very dangerous disease. The aim of my thesis was to try to quantify the impact on the costs and benefits of the introduction of vaccination for the most vulnerable groups, namely children after birth to 4 years of age, by comparing the hypothetical vaccinated and unvaccinated cohorts. The work itself has not demonstrated at today's prices and epidemiological data Bexsero vaccines, cost efficiency. However, at a reduced cost or increased incidence of cases appear to vaccination Bexsero as well utilized resources.
