Utilization of Biofuels in Agriculture of Czech Republic

The central task of this work is to analyze the question of biofuels of the first and the second generation and their application in agriculture in the Czech Republic. The first part characterizes biofuels of the first and the second generation and briefly presents the methods of their production. Further on, it presents the reasons for accepting this strategy by European Union and interprets the viewpoint of The Organization of Economic Cooperation and Development. The main part of the work concisely presents the outcomes of the application of biofuels in the world, however the centre of attention is on the analysis of the present circumstances of biofuels being used in agricultural sector of the Czech Republic. The analysis is based on the information accessible from the Ministry of Agriculture of the Czech Republic as well as on the experiences of their cultivation in the farms.

Security in wireless networks

The more the popularity of wireless networks grows the more threatsb appear of being attacked or misused, either intentionally or by accident. This bachelor work describes security protocols in use, such as WEP, WPA and WPA2, analyses their vulnerabilities and discusses the danger of possible attacks against them. As the security protocol itself cannot entirely protect any wireless network there are additional security measures suggested that minimize the risk of an successful attack. One of the goals was to prove experimentaly that WEP is really as bad a protocol as it is said and should not be used for securing any networks not even the home ones. In connection with that a survey has been made examining how wireless networks in Prague are secured, what protocols are used. This survey showed an alarming fact that most wireless networks are still using deprecated protocol WEP or no security protocol at all.

The education of the librarians: analysis and comparison of the professional preparation programs already existing lifelong learning

Rigorózní práce mapuje a analyzuje současné možnosti celoživotního vzdělávání pracovníků knihoven a informačních pracovníků. K hlavním cílům patří zejména porovnání současných vzdělávacích programů na regionální a národní úrovni s přihlédnutím na legislativní rámec, akční plán realizace státní informační politiky, možnosti vzdělávání pracovníků v rámci konkrétních programů, podprogramů a jejich projektů, možnosti celoživotního vzdělávání v souvislosti s moderními prostředky ICT. Práce čítá pět kapitol a přílohy. Stěžejní částí práce jsou kapitoly třetí a pátá, které blíže mapují situaci ve vzdělávání knihovníků a informačních pracovníků u nás. Přílohy rigorózní práce obsahují komparaci dvou výukových center v rámci podprogramu VISK2, obrazovou dokumentaci s popisem programového vybavení pro e-learning, vysvětlení základních termínů, názvů a zkratek a v neposlední řadě též fotografickou dokumentaci z kurzů podprogramu VISK2.

Commands and comments: tha language of "The nine chapters on the mathematical art" and its commentaries

Předmětem této práce je jazyk klasické čínské matematiky, konkrétně jejího stěžejního anonymního díla "Matematika v Devíti kapitolách" a dvou nejdůležitějších komentářů k němu. "Matematika v Devíti kapitolách" (Jiu zhang suan shu ft; UT) je sbírka vzorových úloh a metod jejich řešení z přelomu letopočtu. Ve 3. století n. 1. k ní napsal obsáhlý komentář Liu Hui ~U fit, na začátku dynastie Tang přibyly vysvětlivky Li Chunfenga *#ll a jeho spolupracovníků. Na tomto materiálu lze proto zkoumat nejen samotný matematický jazyk a jeho vývoj, ale také komentáře jako žánr, který má specifické stylové potřeby. Práce se skládá ze dvou výkladových částí: první je shrnutí historických informací o "Matematice v Devíti kapitolách" a jejích komentátorech, druhá analyzuje jazyk jednotlivých vrstev textu a snaží se odhalit hlavní rysy každé vrstvy a jejich rozdíly. Třetí část, zařazená jako příloha, je překlad výběru z "Matematiky v Devíti kapitolách" včetně Liu Huiova a Li Chunfengova komentáře, doplněný mými jazykově-matematickými poznámkami. Pro tištěnou verzi byl překlad silně zkrácen, celý pracovní překlad relevantních částí je obsažen na přiloženém CD-ROMu. Current problems of the monetary policy in the world

This master thesis deals with current monetary policy in the world. The monetary policy belongs to the basic components of the economy and the economic policy. In today`s world economy, still recovering from the recent financial and economic crisis, many people look up to the monetary policy as a possible remedy for standstill economy. At first, this thesis presents standard monetary policy. Then, the analysis of the current monetary policy in the centres of the world economy, which means the USA, Europe and Japan, is carried out. From the analysis the main problems of current monetary policy emerge and then new tools and solutions implemented by various central banks for the purpose of solving these problems are analysed. At the end other possibilities of the monetary policy are presented in theory.

Analýza bankovního sektoru ve vybraných zemích východní Evropy

The thesis analyzes the banking sectors in selected countries of CEE region, in particular in Albania, Serbia, and Bosnia and Herzegovina and compares their development with the Czech Republic as it is CEE country with one of the most advanced banking sectors in the region. Three parts of the paper analyzing separately each of the countries are supplemented by country comparison and final conclusions. General development, development of banking sector as well as banking market and financial performance of banks are examined. As a conclusion, all the countries develop in a different way and with different starting conditions. Albania relies more on qualitative development with low absolute figures but high relative indicators with respect to the utilization of available resources. The development in Serbia is rather quantitative, in contrary to the situation in Albania. Bosnia and Herzegovina is progressing quite ambiguously also due to uncertain political situation in the country. It can be also concluded that all the three countries still have to go a long way to reach comparable level of their banking systems with the Czech Republic.

CSR activities of the chosen brand

The diploma thesis is focused on the CSR (Corporate Social Responsibility) activities and evaluates the CSV (Creating Shared Value) activities of the brand producing Slovak cheese and cheese specialties. The aim is to analyse and evaluate them properly, propose the right communication and future goals, that are in line with the current ones. The first part is centred on the description of CSR concept, its establishment, history in the world and in the Czech Republic. The concept of CSV is described next. This is followed by the trends in the communication of CSR on social media and other on-line media. The second part is mostly about the particular brand, its history and main attributes. Already existing activities are analysed, their communication is proposed together with the activities, that should supplement the contemporary ones in the future.
