Crush syndrom in prehospital care
JENDŘEJASOVÁ, Tereza
The issue of the Crush syndrome in pre-hospital care is not a topic into which new findings are often brought by science workers. All the currently known and available knowledge about the Crush syndrome has not changed for decades. In part this is caused by the difficulty in pre-hospital emergency care to determine whether the condition signifies the Crush syndrome or also a hypovolemic shock resulting in kidney damage. In the Czech Republic there are neither big earthquakes, fortunately nor major landslides, and yet from time to time such an event occurs. That is why today it is more and more desirable that paramedics should be theoretically well prepared for such interventions. The purpose of this study was to survey and compare theoretical knowledge of paramedics working at the Emergency Medical Service of the South Bohemian and the Central Bohemian regions, including the ability to utilize this knowledge in practice. In the study quantitative and qualitative research was used. The quantitative part of the research mapped, using anonymous structured questionnaires, the theoretical knowledge of paramedics working at the Emergency Medical Service of the South Bohemian and the Central Bohemian regions in terms of the Crush syndrome issue. The results of the quantitative research have proved very good knowledge of the Crush syndrome issue in both regions and thus the hypothesis has been verified. The qualitative part of the research identified, through structured interviews with three respondents from the Central Bohemian region and three respondents from the South Bohemian region, the practical connection of theoretical knowledge directly in the field in a client with developing Crush syndrome. The knowledge was assessed as sufficient to provide quality pre-hospital emergency care. The results of this study have shown that paramedics in the South Bohemian as well as the Central Bohemian regions are well familiar with the theory for providing high-quality pre-hospital care for clients with developing Crush syndrome.

Fulfilling the tasks of civil protection in the territory of the Czech Republic from the perspective of international law
ŠIMKOVÁ, Lucie
The theoretical part of the thesis explains several terms from the area of civil protection, such as civil protection, international humanitarian law, extraordinary and crisis event, and describes the historical development of civil protection in an international environment and in the territory of today's Czech Republic. The thesis also characterizes international institutions while addressing some of them, namely ICRC, UN, NATO and EU, in more detail. It describes the history, characteristics and organization structure of international institutions, as well as involvement of the North Atlantic Alliance and European Union in civil emergency planning. In terms of the Czech Republic, the thesis examines particularly how the population protection is organized in its territory. Last but not least, the thesis specifies international rules of law connected with civil protection, rules of law of the NATO addressing civil protection, rules of law of the EU addressing civil protection and Czech rules of law addressing population protection. The objective of thesis is to compare and evaluate fulfilment of tasks of the Czech and international legislation in the area of civil protection. The thesis will also serve as a study material for students of the branches "Civil Emergency Preparedness" and "Population Protection with Specialization in CBRNE" and as a supporting material for the regional authority and the authorities of municipalities with extended competence. The first section of the research part of the diploma thesis examines selected rules of law of civil protection of the Czech Republic , NATO and EU and, last but not least, Geneva Conventions. In 2013 the new Population Protection Policy for the period until 2020 with an outlook until 2030 entered into effect in the Czech Republic, based on which six areas of population protection were created. A new document of civil emergency planning of NATO is the 2014-2017 Political Guidance of CEP. Decision No. 1313/2013/EU on a Union Civil Protection Mechanism has been used as the principal document for civil protection within the EU since 1. 1. 2014. These three rules of law are the main documents used for the comparison and evaluation of fulfilment of tasks of the Czech and international legislation in this thesis and are examined in more detailed. The last of the documents mentioned in this part of the thesis are the Geneva Conventions, and the thesis examines particularly their embodiment in the Czech legal regulation. At the end of this part there is a summary table that matches Czech rules of law to international rules of law in individual areas. The rules of law of the EU and NATO constitute a superstructure above the rules of law of their Member States and cannot be directly compared; however, it is possible to determine whether the Czech rules of law comply with them. The Geneva Conventions have been embodied in the legal order of the Czech Republic, and other provisions thereof have been implemented through other Acts. As far as NATO is concerned, cooperation takes place particularly between organizations in individual cases. Cooperation and coordination between EU and Member States do not interfere in the primary responsibility for the protection of population, environment, property and cultural heritage of the Member States within their own territories. The Decision on the Mechanism also does not concern mutual rights and obligations of Member States that are embodied in bilateral or multilateral treaties in the area of civil protection. At the conclusion, the thesis proposes certain changes and amendments to the Czech rules of law, which could improve civil protection in the territory of the Czech Republic and facilitate interconnection with the international environment, which has not been working yet as it is supposed to since the new Population Protection Policy has not been in full compliance with the international rules of law.

Image analysis of fluorescently labeled nuclear structures: DNA replication in focus
Mašata, Martin ; Raška, Ivan (advisor) ; Kostrouch, Zdeněk (referee) ; Kozubek, Michal (referee)
In this thesis, we expanded the knowledge about some aspects of DNA replication in human cell nucleus with the help of microscopic techniques and advanced mathematical approaches. DNA replication was studied from several perspectives: Fluorescence detection of newborn DNA on the stretched DNA fibers, ultrastructural mappings of individual replication domains, fluorescence analysis of replication foci re-distribution in early S-phase and cold-dependent immunodetection of replication-coupled chromatin modulation. We started with measurements of average speed of a replication fork movement during S- phase. In agreement with previous studies on DNA spreads with radioactive labeling, the replication speed was two to three times slower in early S-phase than in late S-phase. Moreover, the exogenous dNTP supply accelerated the replication in the early S-phase while additional dNTPs had no effect on the speed of replication forks in late S-phase. Therefore the availability of dNTPs seems to be a rate-limiting factor for replication speed at the beginning of DNA synthesis. We then focused on in situ replication pattern at the EM level. Using an improved method for detection, replication domains, identified by clusters of many silver particles, were observed throughout the S-phase. While replication foci in early...

Artificial Intelligence for the Bang! Game
Daniláková, Monika ; Pilát, Martin (advisor) ; Děchtěrenko, Filip (referee)
This work explores artificial intelligence (AI) algorithms for the game Bang!, a Wild West-themed card game created by Italian game designer Emiliano Sciarra. The aim of this work was to design three different AIs for this game and to compare them theoretically and experimentally. First, we analyzed game Bang! with regards to game theory, and researched some of the AI algorithms used in similar games. We then designed three different AIs algorithms and compared their advantages and disadvantages. These three AIs included an AI based on the Monte Carlo Tree Search algorithm, a genetic AI and a hybrid AI using elements of both previous AIs. We also implemented the game itself and the AIs in C#. The implementation makes it easy to add more AIs or client applications in the future, and also to compare and train the AIs. Finally, we experimentally compared the implemented AIs. The genetic AI performed the best, while Monte Carlo Tree Search AI and the hybrid AI were less suitable for this game. Powered by TCPDF (www.tcpdf.org)

Systém APS a jeho implementace v konkrétním podniku
Zemanová, Zuzana ; Mervart, Michal (advisor) ; Zlatohlávek, Petr (referee)
Systémy APS (Advanced Planning and Scheduling či Advanced Planning System) byly vyvinuty, aby dále rozvíjely stávající systémy MRP II, které ovšem nesplňují všechny potřeby výrobních podniků.
