Švihlíková, Aneta ; Klazar, Stanislav (advisor) ; Brabcová, Pavlína (referee)
The Thesis analyses extent of the usage of flat-rate expenditures in the Czech Republic with respect to taxpayers with self-employment income according to § 7 of the Act on Income Taxes and with rental income according to § 9 of the Act on Income Taxes. Based on the total number of taxpayers with incomes, who may use the flat-rate expenditures, and the number of taxpayers, who actually use them, the relationship between the legislative amendments of the Act on Income taxes in the years 2008 -- 2013 in the area of flat-rate expenditures and the frequency of the usage of flat-rate expenditures in individual years is investigated. These facts, considering the taxpayers with incomes according to § 7 of the Act on Income Taxes, are examined with respect to the type of their main activities. Particular attention is devoted to legal restrictions in 2013 and their impact on taxpayers based on the income level and on taxpayers claiming a tax deduction for a spouse without income and a tax benefit for a dependent child.

Telenská, Jana ; Šalanda, Bohuslav (advisor) ; Bittnerová, Dana (referee)
My work has focused on the Czech Euroindians history of their origin, what it means to be "Euroindian" and how they themselves understand their way of life models. The aim was to find the identity of the Czech Euroindian in modern Czech society. The work deals with the spiritual culture and the implementation of some of the most characteristic of Indian's ceremonies, habits when camping (spring, summer, autumn, winter) as the teepee construction and compliance with the label inside the teepee, cooking, playing the most typical Indian's games, music and singing and other joint events (Pow wow General Assembly, etc.) and their connection with modern life in Czech society. My work is theoretical and empirical. I base it on the method of qualitative research. I use literary sources, Internet resources, personal communication and e-mails with Czech Euroindians and unstructured interviews with Czech Euroindians. Valuable sources of information were also in journals Buffalo wind, Wampum Neskenonu magazine and the Tramp. I also used the method of participant observation in my own field research, which consisted of two two-week stays at summer Euroindians camps near the village Chýlice by Toužim in year 2004 and 2005 and I continued working on my work Metamorphosis Lakota ceremonies from the past to the...

Vacík, Ivo ; Pelikán, Jan (advisor) ; Příhoda, Marek (referee)
This dissertation 1S leaded by two goals. The first one is to show the controversial posture of the first Croatian president from the Croatian society point of view. For this purpose I use the biographies of Franjo Tudman and the politicallysatirical magazine "Feral Tribune". The second goal is to make Czech readers aware of the Croatian social phenomenon which is "Feral Tribune", the only real opposing and the most critical magazine of Franjo Tudman' s govemment and also remarkable factor of creating democracy and liberty which has developed in the nineties of the 20th century. Again - I use Franjo Tudman as an example. By these two examples we can easily see the entire atmosphere of the Croatian society in the last decade of the 20th century and the beginning of new mi11ennium. Part of this text is also a description ofthe media market situation during the Franjo Tudman's leadership.

Between Kharkov and Moscow. Weekly magazine "Románové noviny" within the efforts to promote proletarian literature in the beginning of the 1930s

Influence of meadow management on the migration behavior of selected species of butterflies
Bubová, Terezie ; Langrová, Iva (advisor) ; Farkač, Jan (referee)
Migrations are the key process and one of the basic biological features, which allow survival of endangered species in fragmented landscape. In the last decades, agriculture intensification, industry and urbanization caused that number of natural butterfly habitats has significantly decreased. The localities originally suitable for butterflies are currnetly converted to farmland or building plots. This PhD thesis aimed to find a compromise solution of meadow management, which should allow a commercial use and concurrently do not jeopardize the continued existence of endangered or threatened species. The main idea of this study was in the intentional emigration causing in the middle of flight period, which should lead into resettlement of the population to another (potentially more suitable) locality. Possibility of aimed manipulation with butterfly emigrations would be considered as a major breakthrough in their protection. The investigated species Phengaris nausithous (Bergsträsser, 1779) and Phengaris teleius (Bergsträsser, 1779) are both considered to be flagship species for protection of European butterflies at open meadows. This study is based on research, which was carried out in 2013-2015 at 17 patch in localities Dolní Labe, Czech Republic. In above mentioned years, one selected meadow was mowed in the middle of flight season and the emigrations were then monitored using mark-release-recapture method. Results of population and migration characteristics were calculated in MARK 8.1 software. Subsequently, the effect of mowing on emigration (comparison of emigrations from the meadow before and after mowing) was evaluated using Statistica 13. The hypotheses of this study were based on the assumption, that the loss of resources after well-timed mowing should increase the activity of adult butterflies. During the monitoring, number of emigrations was increased only in flight season 2015. Unfortunately, the statistical evaluation did not show significant effect of mowing on migrations. On the other hand, the hypothesis dealing with colonization of nearest meadows was confirmed. Effect of intentional emigration caused by management interventions was unfortunately not proved. However, we found out, that even though the population at one mowed meadow decreased clearly, the metapopulation size at the locality remained more or less stable. At investigated (mowed) meadow, there was observed a sharp decline of P. nausithous abundance. On the other hand, P. teleius population was only slightly reduced. It is therefore conceivable, that P. teleius are not as susceptible to innapropriate term of mowing. The results obtained in our research conclusively displayed no possible positive effect of mowing in the middle of flight season and a necessity of suitable management maintenance at localities inhabited by Phengaris butterflies.

The Function of OCR Technology and its Usage in Document Processing
Pouzar, Aleš ; Horný, Stanislav (advisor) ; Krsek, Libor (referee)
Owing to a boom of information technologies optical character recognition has recently become a popular and affordable technology, enabling an effective way of sharing a large amount of information stored in paper documents. This work deals with systems for document conversion of analog data into electronic and editable form. It outlines the main methodology of OCR technology, evaluates a performance of OCR applications and analyses the contribution of imaging technologies through the benchmark tests on the set of paper documents.
