The effect of local heating on indoor and outdoor air quality in a rural settlement

Increased concentrations of particulate matter do not occur in urban areas only, they occur in winter time episodes of high concentrations in small settlements, as well. It is probably caused by usage of solid fuels in domestic heating. The indoor air quality is closely influenced by the outdoor air pollution. Concentrations of size-separated PM were measured by a cascade impactor (PCIS) during two winter and one summer seasons in the years 2009 and 2010 in a village Svrčovec situated near the town Klatovy. Continuous concentrations of PM2.5 were measured in parallel by using a commercial photometer DustTrak. Following meteorological parameters were monitoring - temperature, relative humidity, wind velocity, wind direction, precipitation and sun radiation. The presence of persons and their activities in the house were noted. The average PM10 concentrations in Svrčovec were higher than average PM10 concentration in Klatovy. The summer average PM10 concentrations in Svrčovec were lower than the concentrations in the town (15.5 μg/m3, 17.4 μg/m3) and the winter PM10 concentrations in Svrčovec were significantly higher (31.1 μg/m3, 24.3 μg/m3). The Possibilities in the Efectivity of the Primary Prevention

Knowledges from different researchers showed necessity to begin with primary prevention activities from childhood. This function has primarily family and home - folks, then preJschool education and schools. This thesis is about possibilities how to make the primary prevention for children and young people more effective. Particular attention is paid on the primary prevention programs in schools. But there are other factors very important beyond these activities. And it is homeJfolks, primarily family and peers but also terms in the society. There are very important protective and risk factors, which prevention tends to enhance or tries to minimise. There are a lot of methods and criterias which are very important in these programs to be consider effective. And it is very important to adapt methods and forms of these programs to the age of individual. There are mentioned information about specificity in class of age, various types of programs and methods in this essay. The activities of the Czech ecological organisations: Case study Temelin

This diploma thesis deals with activities of the Czech ecological organisations which were active in case of nuclear power plant Temelin after its breaking-in. The thesis is divided into four chapters. The first one focuses on the definition of the ecological organisation (movement). In the second chapter, the attention is paid to the history of foundation and functioning of the nuclear power plant Temelin. The third chapter is about advantages and disadvantages of the nuclear power. The last chapter focuses on the analysis of activities of the Czech ecological organisations which opposed or supported the nuclear power plant Temelin.

The food problem in Latin America

The diploma thesis consists of theoretical and practical part. Theoretical part is devoted to the concepts and causes of food problem in general. In the practical part was given the social, geographic and economic characteristics of Latin America. Also was analysed the food problem in Latin America and were made suggests how to improve the food problem in this region.
Currently, the food problem is a very hot topic in the world as well as in some regions. Hunger and poverty are socio-economic problems, which combine with the food problem. There are many different causes of food problem. All causes can be separated into two groups: causes related to human activity and unrelated. The main causes associated with human activities are causes of population, poverty, religious causes, political conflicts, and the causes associated with nature: global warming and soil degradation. Natural causes unrelated to human activity have the primary influence on agricultural production. Various natural disasters and climate change can not be affected by people.
In order to solve the food problem requires the intervention of international organizations for providing financial and food assistance to those affected countries. A major role in the solution this issue plays mutual cooperation between countries around the world.

The Master of the Hradec Králové Altarpiece

ENGLISH ABSTRACT: In a war of Hussites the Prague art activity was going to her disappearace or was pushed away to the countryside where succumbed in a certain way become popular. Desk painting in the Czech territory was after the Hussites was adjusted almost to its disappearence. Contrary of the south part of Czech Kingdom, which were as regards Hussites not jotted and the production of painting could continue in her making and already in the third decade of fiftenth century got quality late gothic style in the Master of Rajhrad altar with its Austrian signs. In fourth decade happened sudden step back to the past to "krásný sloh" to reiteration its marks, renewal devotio and Marian painting diferent ikonography types. The same was as in the middle Bohemia, the territory in the east of Bohemia was signed with Hussites war too. Chrudim in that time became late-gothic-style centre and with its production of paintings could compete with Prague. Unlike the memories for examples Kutná Hora, Chrudim was characterized by unity of style, which was determinated by activity of this manufactory and it can be derive from extanded quantity of pieces. Fed's Easy Money Policy during Alan Greenspan's presidency in Board of Governors (1987-2006)

The main theme of the work is the Fed's monetary policy during the time, when chairman of the Board of Governors was Alan Greenspan. The greatest attention is aimed at the influence of Fed's expansive monetary policy on the so-called dot-com bubble and later mortgage crisis, which subsequently developer into the financial crisis. Through a thorough analysis of many scientific papers written by known economists and my own analysis and evalution I opine that the effect of expansionary monetary policy on the bubble in technological assets and mortgage crisis is rather minor. Fed subordinated all actions to achieve its monetary policy objectives, so criticism of its conducted monetary policy is essentially a critique of these objectives as such. I consider the emergence of new technologies and the so-called theory of feedback as the main cause of dot-com bubble. In the mortgage crisis and subsequent financial crisis as main determinants I consider reluctance of goverment officials strongly regulate activities of investment banks and other investment companies, moral hazard, failure of rating agencies, and federal support for home ownership coupled with the deregulation of the financial sector.

Contributions of Czech Centres with a focus on the promotion of export activities - the example of Belgium

The objective of this diploma thesis is to evaluate the contributions of Czech Centres with a focus on promotion of export activities and to suggest possible strategies for the improvement. More detailed analysis is specialized on Czech Centre in Brussels. At first, the theoretical basis of Czech Centres is defined together with their administrative and organizational structure, funding and target groups. Then, the activities of Czech Centres are analysed with a focus on promotion of export activities. That analysis includes detailed focus on the contribution of website www.export.cz - its existence was initiated by Czech Centre. Further activities of Czech Centres are evaluated through SWOT analysis and the Strategy for 2012 - 2015. In conclusion, the thesis focuses on the activities of Czech Centre in Brussels with the concentration on promotion of export activities together with the specific strategic proposals to improve its promotion of export policy.

Analysis of the activities of South Korean companies from music industry in the European markets

This master thesis analyzes activities of South Korean companies from music industry in the markets in Europe and this analysis is based on a questionnaire survey. The first part focuses on the theory and describes the Korean popular music, cross its history, major companies in the sector and their activity in foreign markets. In following theoretical chapters there is the definition of basic marketing terms, the theory of marketing research, its methods and evaluation and use of marketing research in culture, a summary of the economic situation in South Korea and differences in business negotiations between Koreans and Europeans. The practical part of the thesis describes in detail the selected companies, their products and activities in Europe. Furthermore there is an introduction to research and information about the survey. The final part deals with the evaluation and interpretation of the findings, conclusions drawn from the information obtained and the proposed solutions.
