Case Study of physiotherapy treatment of a patient with Subtalar Dislocation
Koderová, Michaela ; Nováková, Tereza (advisor) ; Hoskovec, Jakub (referee)
Title: Case study of physiotherapy treatment of a patient with the diagnosis of subtalar dislocation Objectives: The main goal of this bachelor thesis is to work out a detailed case study of a patient with the diagnosis of subtalar dislocation and a literature search of this topic. Another goal is to acquire knowledge of anatomy, kinesiology and biomechanics of a subtalar joint, knowledge of orthopedics related to this diagnosis and knowledge of possibilities of physiotherapeutic care of such a patient and also active participation on the therapy of this patient. Methods: I used assays and physiotherapeutic approaches which I learned during the bachelor studies on FTVS UK. Background for the special part of this thesis was gained during the special practice in C.L.P.A s.r.o. since 10.1.2011 till 4.2.2011. The general part informs about anatomy, kinesiology and biomechanics of a subtalar joint, about subtalar dislocation and about physiotherapeutic care of this injury. Special part includes methodology of the work, anamnesis, opening kinesiologic analysis, individual therapies, outcoming kinesiologic analysis and the effect of the therapy. Results: I worked out a detailed case study of a patient with this diagnosis and a literature search of this topic. The work was beneficial especially because I...

The endocrine function of adipose tissue and its importance for initiation and development of insulin resistance and diabetes
Haluzík, Michal ; Schreiber, Vratislav (advisor) ; Marešová, Dana (referee) ; Šeda, Ondřej (referee)
Endocrine production of adipose tissue is a very complex process affected by numerous endogenous and exogenous stimuli. Peroxisome proliferator-activated receptors-alpha (PPAR-) are important modulators of metabolic processes which can also affect endocrine function of adipose tissue. Recently, numerous novel factors produced by adipose tissue with important metabolic effects were identified. Some of them can directly bind PPAR receptors. One of the examples of these factors is fatty acid binding protein 4 (FABP4) which can directly bind PPAR receptors and indirectly modify its activation by changing availability of endogenous PPAR ligands -free fatty acids. We hypothesized that the mechanism of action of PPAR receptors to metabolic processes may partially lie in their complex interaction with adipose tissue-derived hormones. The unraveling of these interactions may have important consequences in finding approaches to treat patients with type 2 diabetes mellitus. (...) In summary, our data show an important role for the interplay of PPAR activation and endocrine function of adipose tissue in metabolic regulations which may have important clinical consequences.

Sense of physical activity in patients with type 1 diabetes
Petráňová, Jitka ; Radvanský, Jiří (advisor) ; Máček, Miloš (referee)
In this thesis I'm analysing the topic physical activity with the connection to compensation of diabetes mellitus type 1. I focus on different attributes of physical activity, especially on endurance and resistance exercises. I observe the impat of physical activity on sensitivity of insulin receptors and on activation of GLUT 4 transporters in relation to the impact on compensation of diabetes. Passage of life in the light of rituals of parenthood and partnership in present young family
Fišerová, Lucie ; Junková, Vendula (referee) ; Štětovská, Iva (advisor)
This graduation thesis tries to define positive notion of the ritual in the family life. The work consists of theoretical and empirical part. In the theoretical part we try to suggest positive psychological role of ritual. Psychology often considers ritual as a phenomenon which is related to the obsession. Current psychological literature perceives ritual in the positive way - as a pattern of 8pccific bchnvior which is oftcn rcpcnted in the time and which has a fundamental emotional effect. Ritual can be indivual or collective, it can be ritual which is performed every day, in ordinary situations or it can be transitional ritual which plays an important role during the times of crises or changes. Rituals and their emotional experiences have a big effect on individua! and/ or family. ln the empirical part of our thesis we try to define the ritual of parents and the ritual of partners or married couple. We interviewed nine married couples in the age of 23-34 which have at least one baby. Our aim was to identify the role of the family ritual in young families. The family rituals, especially transitional, are rendered in the family traditions but the "ordinary" partner or parental rituals are very individua!. Each couple has own rituals which are important for their lives and for their needs. However we can...

Kvantifikace kritických koncentrací vybraných skupin HM a POPs. Výpočty odběrů těžkých kovů nadzemní biomasou. Ekonomické hodnocení.

Provision of Equine Assisted Activities and Therapies and the biggest organizations in Czech Republic and Slovak Republic
Jindříšková, Jana ; Doležalová, Jana (advisor)
The main goal of this bachelor thesis is to define conditions for providing the ill with Equine Assisted Activities and Therapies. In this way the readers can learn a definition of Equine Assisted Activities and Therapies, what education and experience therapists who want to implement this practice should have and what requirements should a horse meet to be used in the therapy. In the next part I do research on coverage of Equine Assisted Activities and Therapies expenses by insurance companies not only in Czech, but also in Slovak Republic. The research also includes answers to the questions, what criteria should a patient meet to get hippotherapy care covered and what attitude to such care the insurance companies have. Besides problems in relations insurance company, patient and centre of Equine Assisted Activities and Therapies, in my thesis I describe the biggest centers of Equine Assisted Activities and Therapies in Czech Republic and Slovak Republic.

Language dramas. Theory of literature and creative writing practice
Studený, Jiří ; Bílek, Petr (advisor) ; Kubíček, Tomáš (referee) ; Fišer, Zbyněk (referee)
The coexistence and cooperation of theory of literature and creative writing practice is based on the necessity to build up a reliable methodological background for literary oriented creative writing itself. At the same time however this type of relation enables us to improve contemporary literary thinking with some new aspects derived from the vivid and authentic creative process dealing with specific literary forms and genres. In any case, the fundamental question of nowadays literary culture reamins the same, that is how to introduce at least some of the groundbreaking achievements of postmodern theory of literature to the institutionalized context of more or less traditional school system. Presented text reflects this kind of topic through the continuous comments on relationship between literary canon and spontaneous writing, and indirect, unconscious consequences of centralization and institucionalization or decentralization and deinstitucionalization of literary process represented mainly by creative writing practice. Two introductory chapters focused not only on methodic but also various cultural context of creative writing teaching, for example education through drama, rhetorics, therapy through art and zen aspects of creative activities, are followed with passages concentrating in particular on...
