Impact of education on clients with leukemia.
DAVIDOVÁ, Adéla
The theoretical part of my bachelor thesis is focused on the description and characteristics of leukaemia, its diagnostics and treatment. Further, the theoretical part is focused on nursing care of clients suffering from leukaemia and meeting their bio-psycho-social needs. Last but not least, it deals with communication and the education process concerning leukaemia. The practical part of my bachelor thesis aims to find out the manner in which education is provided, the fields of the education conducted and how much clients suffering from leukaemia are contented with the education provided. To obtain data and process them, I used a qualitative research survey and the method of the semi-structured interview. I carried out anonymous interviews with two groups of respondents. The first group consisted of nurses working in a clinical haematology department, and the other were clients hospitalised in this department - clients with diagnosed leukaemia. The information that I obtained may help to improve communication between medical staff members and their clients, to improve the education of clients suffering from leukaemia, and, thanks to the correctly conducted education, to make dealing with the disease easier.

The thesis focuses on economic development in the Soviet Union in the late 20s and in the first half of the 30s of the 20th century. An accent is placed mainly on collectivisation of agriculture during the first five-year plan. The analytical part of the thesis deals with the process of collectivization and evaluation of the social and economic outcomes and consequences, specifically on the territory of Volhynia, where thousands of Czech citizens emigrated. The hypothesis, that Volhynian Czechs were not directly affected by forced collectivization, was disproved. As a result of collectivization the number of czech population in Volhynia decreased by 30%. The first five-year plan featured a big step towards modernization and self-sufficiency of the country, but in the agricultural sector failed.

Czech-Chinese partnership and marriage
ZHAO, Ting
The objective of this thesis is to describe the way Czech-Chinese partner-ships/marriages are perceived and experienced by the partners involved. The thesis has two parts. The theoretical part forms the basis for the subsequent empirical research. It clarifies the terminology, the motivation of meeting one?s partner, the importance of mixed marriages and the life of the Chinese minority in Bohemia. The practical part describes the research. Qualitative research through the method of interviewing was used. The interviews with eight questions yielded information from nine respondents - Czechs and the Chinese who are partners involved in this type of relationship. Their views and experience are analyzed by the method of clumps. The research results yielded insights into the relationship and coexistence of Czech-Chinese partnerships. The research showed that most partners in Czech-Chinese marria-ges had been learning about each other for some time before entering into the relation-ships. The research yielded thirteen kinds of motivation to get acquainted. Some of them are characteristic only for marriages between foreigners. Most respondents, however, met their partners by random coincidence. The answers of the respondents indicated twenty-one specific problems in their relationships. These problems are of social or cultural nature or ones commonly occurring between partners. Partners? par-ent? attitudes vary. The reasons for rejection are concerns about the happiness of their children or prejudices against foreigners. In public, the couples usually feel good. Only occasionally they are confronted with negative responses. The partners communicate using Czech, Chinese and English. According to the respondents, this type of coexisten-ce in most cases has not changed the usual lifestyle. The only exception is food. The other areas of co-existence are individual and standard. The opinions of the respondents on this type of marriage are not uniform. Some think that the boundaries of cultural dif-ference cannot be overcome. Others look positively that cultures complement each other. When people can take advantage of these differences, they enrich their lives. The research results expand the knowledge of ethnically mixed marriages and they can serve as a basis for further research.

Buk, Jindřich ; Vojíř, Stanislav (advisor) ; Sklenák, Vilém (referee)
Nowadays, an increasing number of processes and life situations is getting IT support. Often the use of the Internet aims to accelerate and simplify existing processes. In addition, there is a big area of social networking that can be complementary. This thesis deals with the possibilities of using web technologies to support the running of a club and its subsequent development. Indeed, the club has the potential to simplify and automate many processes which previously have been carried out by someone in person. It has also a potential to use social networks for its publicity and development. The aim is to first determine what areas of the clubs operations are the most appropriate to be supported by any information system. Another objective is to find out how other clubs already integrate any information systems. The final objective is to design and create a specific application. The first two objectives are addressed through a survey among the leaders of the biggest Czech clubs. Indeed in these clubs, the use of automation and simplification of existing processes could have a great potential. The proposal for a specific application is then based on the previous survey and the field experience of the author. While serving many existing processes in running the club, the proposed application adds many elements of social networking.
