The issue of social housing in the Czech Republic in the first decade 21st century

Bachelor thesis analyzes the issue of definition of social housing in the Czech Republic,due to circumstances which affect the definition of that is lack of definition of social housing in the Czech Republic, and especially the historical and social context. In the Czech Republic live, as in other countries, groups of citizens, for ensuring that permanent housingis relatively unaffordable affairs. These are groups of people such as disabled, single parents, unemployed, drug addicts, people leaving children's homes or facilities for serving, etc. For these people it is difficult to apply the available housing market and thereforeusually require municipal, respectively state aid and assistance. For these reasons, the work deals with the analysis of existing state programs for low-income housing supportgroups of people, tools and their effectiveness. In the final part of the work processes of thebasic problems of comparison with developed countries of the European Union, particularlyBritain and Germany.

Immigration policy of the European Union focus on Italy

The aim of this bachelor thesis is an analysis of the immigration policy practiced in Italy from the 1990s to the present. In the theoretical part, I characterize the development of approaches to migration, which is important for understanding current trends in the immigration policies of particular countries and also for the future development of migration flows across Europe. In the practical part, I will focus first on the impacts of migration on the labour market, the employment of immigrants and associated problems, such as legal and linguistic barriers. I will analyse the national structure of employment of foreigners in Italy, the reasons why they decided to live there, and what influence the migrants have on the economic, social and demographic development of the country. Using statistical and demographic calculation methods, I analyse the age and national composition of foreigners in Italy, i.e. their average age, lifespan, age index and other aspects. At the end of the work I will assess the historical and current attitude of the EU and/or Italy towards Italy's immigration policy.

Foreign Direct Investment in the Visegrad Countries

The aim of the study is to examine the effects of FDI on the four countries - Czech republic, Hungary, Poland and Slovakia. There is a detailed description of a global flows of FDI, concentrating on specific important events that influenced the flows, also regarding the particular region of a world economy. In the main part the study examines every country of the Visegrad Group separately - its macroeconomic development, FDI flows and main events that had a major influence on the flows into each country. At the end there is also a small quantitative analysis trying to prove a relationship between FDI stock in each country and its rate of inflation, unemployment rate, GDP growth and a current account deficit of a ballance of payments.

Consumers´ perception of private labels

The aim of the work is to introduce the offer of private labels of selected chain stores and analyse the consumers' perception of the labels with the aid of a questionnaire survey. A range with private label includes all products sold by a store under its own label. The packaging is furnished with the name and logo of the distributor, meaning this marked product won't be found in another kind of store. Originally, there used to be only groceries and dring sold under private labels. However, nowadays, there are also private label drugstore commodities, domestic appliances, sports equipments and other products available. Private labels offer advantages as well as disadvantages to producers, sellers as well as consumers. Acoording to the price and quality we can devide the private labels into three categories -- economical, standard and special. The most developed market with private labels can be found in Switzerland, its market share reaches 53 percent. In the Czech republic this share amounts to about 35 percent, with private label goods being included into all chain stores' assortment. The foremost position is held by the Tesco company. The results of my questionnaire survey have shown that private label goods are bought by 85 percent of the respondents, the most important criteria for their purchase being the lower price range. On the other hand, the buyers' scepticism and lower quality of the goods work in disfavour of the purchase.

Economic and political developement of czech borderland, the so called Sudetenland, in the times of the Great depression

The aim of this work is to analyze the economy of czech borderland, the so called Sudetenland, in the time of the Great depression, and following nationalistic radicalisation of german minority of inter-war Czechoslovakia. The first part of this work is dedicated to the economic potential, characteristics of the industry and social background of czech borderland. Second part brings an analysis of the influence of different process of crisis in the borderlnad and in the innerland on further german minority's radicalisation. This part aswell considers the goverment's anti-crisis steps, and their diverse impacts on the borderland and innerland. In the very last chapter there is certain space for evaluation anti-crisis policies, and also political results of the crisis on german minority in the than Czechoslovakia. This work answers the question, why the great depression led to the radicalisation of Germans in Sudetenland, and why official anti-goverment policy didn't fulfill the expectations of Germans. The work depicts, that government's desire to meet the demand of german minority came too late, and only after the awareness of direct threat. The work targets on how briliant nazi propaganda was in abusing ordinary people's misery towards it's benefit, and whether great depression was crucial feature for German's reluctance of living in Czechoslovakia.

The share of winegrowing in the development of Znojmo district

This thesis describe the current situation of winegrowing in the territory of Znojmo, while also describe the evolution and assess the significance of the influence on the development of winemaking district - Znojmo, factors contributing to the regional development of winegrowing, forms of support for this sector, description of the problems in the winegrowing and what are the possibilities for further development of the region in connection with winegrowing. The theoretical part contains only shortly the basic theory of regional development, the thesis continues with a brief description Znojmo district, geographical and economic-social conditions of the territory, then briefly the evolution of winegrowing in the Czech Republic and in detail the evolution of winegrowing in the district of Znojmo. Furthermore author focused on legal aspects of winegrowing in the Czech Republic and the specific conditions of aid after the entry into the EU. Analytical part is focused on the questionnaire survey among inhabitants in the district of Znojmo and the elaboration of SWOT analysis. On the basis of it is then determined the rate of significance for the winegrowing district Znojmo and determined influential factors of development and indicated further opportunities for the development of the region in connection with winegrowing.

SELinux Policy Analysis Tool

Tato práce se zabývá analýzou politik pro bezpečnostní moduly založené na mandatorním řízení přístupu (MAC), se zaměřením na SELinux. Vzhledem k omezeným schopnostem dostupných nástrojů byl navržen a implementován nový nástroj. Jeho hlavní cíle jsou usnadnění vývoje bezpečnostních politik a pomoc při odhadu role SELinuxu v zabezpečení systému. V případě úspěšného nasazení bude nový nástroj začleněn do balíčku nástrojů SETools 4.

The beginnigs of American feminism

in English The objective of this thesis is to trace and depict the beginnings of feminist thought in America. Its aim is to show how feminist thought was developed within the Puritan/Protestant community as well as its effect on the African-Americans who were integrated into the Puritan community as an inferior race through the slave trade. The thesis uses qualitative and quantitative methods of research. A variety of primary and secondary material is used to describe the beliefs of the people in the era, such as the division of the male and female spheres of influence. The views of both men and women are provided to create a more objective description of the era and its beliefs. In addition, the subject is considered from the American point of view as well as the point of view of foreigners, such as the French historian and political thinker Alexis de Tocqueville. Furthermore, feminism is depicted in various realms of the society - in literature, in the theatre, in the political and in the social life. The quantitative methods include statistical data on wages to prove women were not fairly treated in comparison to men, as well as data from the 1860 Census to prove the drastic effects of slavery upon African-American women and the immorality within the white society's marriage institution. The aim of this thesis is describing development of the EMU, focused on last period, especially impacts of financial crisis. The theoretical part is devoted to the monetary integration itself, its historical development in Europe and the theory of optimum currency area. Attention is focused to the entry criteria of monetary union. The final capture is aimed on general conditions of integration ČR to EMU.
