Czech Migration and Integration Policies in the Persective of Mongolian Migration
Jelínková, Marie ; Čabanová, Bohumila (advisor) ; Drbohlav, Dušan (referee) ; Muhič Dizdarevič, Selma (referee)
In the period between the years 2006 and 2008, a significant increase in the migration of Mongolians to the Czech Republic could be seen. The Mongolians came to the Czech Republic mainly through formal and informal intermediary agencies and most of them worked as unskilled labor. With a few exceptions, they originally arrived to the CR with work and residence permits, yet a large part of them lost their permits during their first two years of stay. Even those who managed to live and work in the CR legally faced frequent violations of their rights. The research on Mongolian migration presented in this doctoral thesis was carried out as a case study. By looking at this specific problem area, fundamental problems posed for Mongolian migrants by the set-up of the Czech migration and integration policies could be analyzed. This work does not address these policies only and the ways they are set up, but also the manner of implementation and the specific impact of these policies on the life of the monitored migrants. It shows that major problems in the way migration policy is set up and regulated are encountered already by the visa applicants still in Mongolia. The results of the research also show that Czech migration policies put a large part of the Mongolian respondents into positions of dependency on their...

Ander, Adam ; Irmanová, Eva (advisor) ; Tejchman, Miroslav (referee)
The thesis presents theoretical approaches to the issue of national minorities and seeks to include two specific cases - Slovakia and Hungary - into this theoretical spectrum. Slovak and Hungarian minorities in Hungary and Slovakia respective are characterized at the same time. Territorial delimitation is obvious, time delimitation is primarily based in the first decade of the new millennium, ending in 2010. Theoretical part of the thesis is divided into two parts - first dealing with national and ethnic minorities (various classifications, terminology and characteristics), second with possible approaches of states to their national minorities (discussed are all conceivable approaches from the least favorable to the friendliest one). The practical part is divided into two main chapters, namely by surveyed countries - Slovakia and Hungary. Both of these chapters deal with national minorities in a given country, with the characteristics of these minorities and their legal status. Analysis of legal statuses of these minorities is based on international treaties, constitutions and laws of both countries. While Slovakia provides its minorities only with individual rights, Hungary introduced quite unusual system of personal cultural and schooling autonomy. The conclusion attempts to find the most...

Velké pozdní bombardování v různých místech sluneční soustavy
Zajaček, Michal ; Brož, Miroslav (advisor) ; Ďurech, Josef (referee)
In this work, we study the Late Heavy Bombardment (LHB) in the Solar System which took place from 4.1 to 3.8 billion years ago, and represents a period of intense collisions whose traces are observed on the Moon and other bodies mainly in the form of craters or impact melts. The first part of the thesis is a review on the LHB with the focus on observational evidence and recent dynamical models. In the second part, we test a particular dynamical model of the LHB using the observed cratering records on various Solar-System bodies, which was not done previously to such an extent. For this purpose, we use the symplectic integrator SyMBA, the collisional code Boulder, and various projectile-crater scaling laws. We discuss the sources of uncertainties of the observations as well as that of the models. Furthermore, we use our results to constrain the size-frequency distribution of the primordial cometary population.

Verbal evaluation as a form of school report and its value

Thesis deals with verbal evaluations in school. The aim of this work is to analyze the value of a notice of the school report in the form of verbal evaluation for the students, parents and teachers. In the theoretical part gives general theories of school assessment and its impact on pupil performance and motivation to further studies. Then, specifically it is concerned on the scoreboard in the form of verbal evaluations. Based on the available literature it compares the two methods of assessment in schools, the marks and verbal evaluation. In the empirical part it sets out a number of key criteria for the analysis of concrete school reports,on the basis of which is analyzed 26 authentic documents. These are the documents from the years 1994-2008, so in addition to monitoring the development and progress of individual pupils, therefore, emphasis on the difference between the conditions in which the certificate was created due to the changes in that time period. Work also includes a discussion of the issues and potential problems , which appear in the issue on the basis of long-term observations of the research sample, and interviews with parents, children and teachers.

Analysis of the determinants of unemployment in the Czech Republic, focusing on the influence of characteristics of the region
Čechová, Gabriela ; Brožová, Dagmar (advisor) ; Svoboda, Miroslav (referee)
This thesis deals with the analysis of equilibrium and disequilibrium factors that have impact on the unemployment rates in the regions of the Czech Republic. Panel data from the 1993 to 20012 period were used in the analysis. One of the main factors of the differences in the unemployment rate between the regions is the proportion of people aged from 15 to 29 years in the population. The increase of one percentage point in this ratio causes an increase in the unemployment rate in the respective region of 2.5 %. Another important factor that was revealed in the analysis was the proportion of high school graduates among the population. With the increase of one percentage point in this factor, the unemployment rate falls by 7.3 %. The regions were divided into two groups based on their unemployment rate for the purpose of an extended model. The results suggest that the unemployment rate in the regions with higher unemployment rates is more influenced by the sectoral composition of the economy than in those with lower unemployment rates. In these regions it is the regional amenities that play the key role.

Habrychová Koutová, Hana ; MACHKOVÁ, Eva (advisor) ; MARTÍNKOVÁ, Nina (referee)
The art and drama workshop of this kind concentrates on older secondary school students aged from 15 ? 19. Its resources have been taken from several areas, which are as follows. Firstly it is a piece of literature, chosen according to the coming around topic in the lessons of the Czech language and literature in the appointed year. Secondly it is visual art, which appears here in two levels ? as inspiration taken from one particular period of history of art, identical with the literary work, and as creation itself , using specific art techniques (mostly of modern and contemporary art).
