The Beer Consumption in the Czech Republic in 2009

In October 2009 CVVM SOÚ AV ČR replicated some of the questions about beer, which constitute a part of research project Pubs and Beer in Czech Society that is under way since 2004. This press release maps basic results about the amount and frequency of beer consumption in the Czech Republic from 2004 to 2009.

Height measurement in the northern area of mining areas Doubrava and Karviná Mines In 2016

In the northern area of mining areas Doubrava and Karvina mines on the border RA Detmarovice and Doubrava are implemented, the mining activities. For this reason, in order to detect possible effects of the mine to the surface and surface objects twice a year height focuses, points in this area stable. From 2014 he was a contractor for these works chosen by the Institute of Geonics, v.v.i., Ostrava. In August and November 2016 survey conducted campaigns planned this year, during which it conducted a total of 4 highrise focus of inter-related leveling routes, which are formed by these points. Highrise points are stabilized in the area of interest in several ways - usually in steel design height marks on buildings, then as an iron bolt concreted in the ground or using nails driven into the concrete foundation or other alternative means. Distribution points in the area of interest is indicative captured in the map appendix. Existing trace and focus points are highlighted in green, yellow trace inaccessible points, refocused points in red and violet points that have occurred to their long term disablement or destruction. Each zaměřovaných points in order to trace the terrain carefully documented (GPS coordinates, photos, text description) and registered. These documents are available from the contractor.

Management of movie houses after 1989 in Prague 1 and 2

The Bachelor Thesis deals with destinies of the movie houses which were occured in urban districts Prague 1 and Prague 2. The theoretical part deals with the influence of historical events on the management of movie houses during the 20th century, from its beginning when the movie houses noticed progressive growth, til their decline after the 1989. The practical part focuses on current state of these movie houses. How the cinemas are prospering and what is the function of defunct cinemas today. The aim of this thesis is outline the historical course of sustainability of movie house management, mapping of the defunct movie houses in Prague 1 and 2 and analysis of current situation of the movie houses which still work.

The administrative development and life in the state asylum in Prague

This work traces a 95-year period of working of the Municipal Establishment for Deranged People (Zemský ústav pro choromyslné) in Prague. More exactly, it deals with the period from its foundation in 1791 until the origination of its successor institutions - the Czech and German Psychiatric Clinics in the year 1866. The first part of the work describes the foundation of the establishment, beginnings of its operation, its successive disaffiliation from the General Hospital (Všeobecná nemocnice), of which it was initially a part, its rapid building development, and the establishment's day-to-day life. In the year 1846, the establishment became a stand-alone medical institution, entirely independent of the hospital's management. It was a state charitable institution and, as such, it was financed by the state. It obtained additional funds for its operation from the fees for the provided care and other activities. The Chapter Two, which maps the years 1846-1864, addresses not only these financial matters, but also the establishment's separate administration and its other building and qualitative developments. The last Chapter is devoted to the period of the years 1864-1886 when the establishment was completely assigned to the administration of the Municipal Committee. Czech society in the 21st century from the perspective of gender statistics

The Czech Republic has subscribed to fulfil the conclusions of the Fourth World Conference about Women held in Beijing in 1995. The state therefore took upon itself the obligations to address and resolve issues of equality between men and women. During the period of the 21st century gender equality has became one of the major issues being in the centre of attention of the Government, ministries and other state organs. The data and information divided by gender are collected, analyzed and presented by the Czech Statistical Office in gender statistics. The main objective of this thesis is, by using the available data statistics, to compare the status of men and women in selected areas, and with help of the concerned economic and social indicators, to map the situation and developments in the Czech society in the 21st century. In other word to find out where and to what extent the gender differences mainly occur. The analytical part of the thesis then investigates whether there have been any more significant after-shift, change, or development of selected indicators of gender statistics during the 21 century and, if so, in which analyzed area, what gender and to what extent.

Efficient and economic establishment of supermarkets according to the needs of production in the automotive industry

The main focus of this diploma thesis is on efficient and economic establishment of in-house logistics decentralised parts storage areas, called supermarkets, from which parts are feeded to the assembly line, in line with just-in-sequence philosophy. The paper is divided into seven chapters, first three chapters give theoretical basics for establishment of supermarkets. They introduce process management, Toyota produciton system and supermarket concept. Fourth, fifth and sixth chapters map and evaluate the supermarket situation in ŠKODA AUTO a.s., including the introduction of the company, its production system, supermarket situation and their optimalisation in 2013. In the last chapter, an analyses of several supermarkets is presented, with a suggestion for improvement of efficiency in these supermarkets.

The competitive fight between the industrial enterprise ČKD and Škodovy závody and attempts to solve it in years 1928-1931

This work deals with the competitive fight between the industrial enterprises Českomoravská - Kolben - Daněk (ČKD) and Škodovy závody in years 1928-1931. It concentrates on the negotiations of the settlement of disputes between the involved parties. This work is divided into two main thematic chapters. The first chapter deals with the origin of the concern ČKD that began in 1871 with the origin of his home enterprise První českomoravské továrny na stroje v Praze, which went on thank to the fusion with the company Elektrotechnická akciová společnost (former Breifeld- Daněk a spol.). Owing to these three fusions the world-famous trademark ČKD arose. The second chapter deals with the competitive fight and with the effort to eliminate it. This chapter contains eight thematic units dealing with the causes and consequences of the competitive fight between the enterprises. Attention is paid to three attempts at agreement in 1929 and 1931. In 1931 the contract on collective production and selling of cars under the collective management of ČKD and Škoda závody was concluded. Both enterprises supposed that the long-time competition has been averted. The above mentioned contract was in the end avoided and the competitive fight became bigger than it used to be before.

Financial analysis of the Vinium Company

The aim of the Bachelor thesis is an evaluation of the financial situation of the Vinium Company from an owners' view. Financial analysis will be performed for the periods of 2009-2013 using vertical and horizontal analysis, the financial ratio, solvency and bankruptcy models. In the next step, I will make an intercompany rating with similar companies. The annual reports 2009-2013 were used as a starting material for evaluation. In the conclusion of the thesis is a recommendation for the owners, they should focus on decreasing the share of interest expenses, which would help to generate profit and improve the resulting value of the financial ratio. A lower debt would also lead to the fulfilling of balance sheet rules and better results when analysing solvency and bankruptcy models, at the moment the company is in the bankruptcy zone. The overall financial health of the company isn't very good, because it didn't give any economical added value in any of the years to its owners. Vinium is dependent on financial help from its parent company České vinařské závody a.s. and the companies in the group Prosperita. The strong side of the company is its trade deficit, when Vinium a.s. uses interest-free loans from its suppliers.

Factors influencing adaptation of students living abroad

This bachelor thesis focuses on mapping the factors which are influencing the adaptation of students while being on international study programs and observes effective methods of adaptation. The stress is put on clarifying the key definitions related to adaptation processes, naming and interpreting each of the factors influencing the adaptation in general. To better understand the possible adaptation factors, there are used in this work the results of questionnaires, which were distributed by the University of Lapland to foreigner students, who passed their study program at this university in the years 2002 2005 and 2006 2007. The comparison of these results is also included. Other part of this work presents the results of questionnaires distributed to foreigner students studying at Charles University in the academic year 2007 2008 and shows the comparison of these results with the results of questionnaires from the University of Lapland in the academic year 2006 2007. The comparison of the questionnaires also helps to clarify to what extent are the adaptation factors dependent upon the environment it self. Presentation of E. W. Korngold in Czech Republic

The present thesis deals with the presentation of composer Erich Wolfgang Korngold
and his work in the Czech Republic. Introductory chapters are devoted
to the composer's life, first in Bohemia, later in the United States, it also analyzes
his musical work and its benefits. The following chapters are focused on practical
presentation EW Korngold in the Czech Republic with a view to placing the history
of his works (symphony orchestras and opera houses in CR, Czech Radio
and Czech Television). Great chapter consists of mapping the rare important projects
associated with EWK and insight into the present (Korngold Quartet, the world's
symphony orchestras, opera theaters, celebrations in 2012 ...) The conclusion
summarizes the main problems of planning and promotion of cultural projects
with a view to promoting personality EWK.
