Prokeš, Miroslav ; Baruš, Vlastimil ; Peňáz, Milan
The ide, Leuciscus idus belongs to autochthonous, less numerous and endangered (vulnerable) fish species of the Czech Republic. In 2004, the fishing on ide was conducted on 51 non-salmonid (NS) fishing-grounds of the Moravian Anglers Union (MAU) on water area of 4622.4 ha. In total, 432 ides (= 0.31 ind.ha-1; 0.25 % of all captured fish) and 332 kg of ide biomass (= 0.23 kg.ha-1, = 0.10 % of total mass of captured fish) were captured in 2004. Mean individual mass of ide was 0.78 kg. In the period 1990-2004, 0.11 ind.ha-1 (= 0.067 % of all captured fish) and 0.075 kg.ha-1 (= 0.035 % of total mass of captured fish) in the NS fish-grounds of MAU were captured yearly. During 1953-1978, 1.67 ind.ha-1 and 1.41 kg.ha-1 of the ide were captured yearly in the riverine fishing-ground Dyje 7. General trend of catches is decreasing. Deformometrická a výšková měření v katastrálním území obce Dětmarovice v roce 2016
Důsledkem dobývání jsou, mimo jiné, i poklesy povrchu, což vzhledem ke stávající morfologii terénu v předmětném katastrálním území vyvolalo obavu, zda tyto poklesy nebudou dále indukovat svahové pohyby.

The political system of the German empire 1871-1914
Masař, Tomáš ; Stellner, František (referee) ; Županič, Jan (advisor)
The hereby presented diploma paper is concentrated primarily on the German political system in the years 1871-1914 and its constitution of 1871. At the beginning I have resumed publications dealing with this topic. I focused my attention mostly on works dealing with German constitutions in the 19th century and especially with the constitution of 1871. Moreover, I have taken note of the evolution of the political system and the political parties of the German empire. Not least, I have noticed the most important biographies dedicated to significant personalities of this period of German history, which fundamentally influenced the German political system. These include above all the "iron" chancellor Otto von Bismarck and the last German emperor William II. In the first part of my diploma paper I have outlined the development in German lands in the period from the Congress of Vienna in 1815 until the unification of Germany in 1871. I have divided this chapter into four minor parts, out of which the first three are dealing with the development of politics in this time period. The first part describes the time after the Congress of Vienna and the restoration of old German monarchies, the second part deals with the revolution year 1848 and the disillusionment from the revolution and the third one with the effect...

Contribution to the development of the "Pan-European movement" in the 1930s
Kaplan, Antonín ; Županič, Jan (referee) ; Horčička, Václav (advisor)
This thesis analyses history of the Pan-European movement in the 1930s, which was founded by the count Richard Nicolaus Coudenhove-Kalergi in the year of 1923. This nobleman with Czechoslovak citizenship was aware of declining political and economic weight of the European continent in the world and this fact stood behind his decision to found a movement that unite Europe on federal principle. Although this work also covers partially the history of the Pan-European movement in the 1920s, the accent of this work is put on following decade. The idea of united Europe had to face tough confrontation with radicalizing political situation in many European countries in this time and that is why the European could not be established already in the interwar period. The thesis can be divided into five fundamental parts. The first one outlines the early life of the young philosoph Coudenhove-Kalergi, analyses his book Pan-Europe and end with Briand's plan of the European Union, of which he spoke about during the League of Nation's General Assembly in September 1929. The following chapter and the second main part at the same time pursues this proposal and the Briand Memorandum from May 1930. The French plan represented a significant milestone in the Pan-European movement history. The important events of the first half...

Southern gothic family in the works of Flannery O'Connor and Walker Percy
Malířová, Barbora ; Procházka, Martin (advisor) ; Onufer, Petr (referee)
The literature anthologized under the label "American Southern Gothic" should be described and a thorough definition of the term should be given before an examination of one aspect of Gothicism in selected works by Flannery O'Connor and Walker Percy. To do so, it is necessary to separate the two components of the term and define each of them individually, i.e. we must deal first with the concepts of "Southern literature" and "Gothic art," and only then present a comprehensive definition of the joint category. According to Veronica Makowsky, in its most basic sense Southern literature is writing about the South, but this definition, as Makowsky herself admits, has many complications and thus she presents a more satisfying, theme-based definition: "Topically, Southern writing can concern the South or a Southerner's experience elsewhere, but it can also include a Southerner's writing on a non-Southern topic from a non-Southern point of view.,,1 As the quotation makes clear, it is not at all easy to define the literature of the South concisely and completely. It is best to say that all Southern writers share a common nature; the fact that they were born and raised in a region so much stigmatized by its past, burdened by military and economic defeat, caused that the artists show a distinct affinity both in the...

Josef Václav Sládek - the founder of Czech "American studies"
Vosmanská, Jana ; Menclová, Věra (referee) ; Kalivodová, Eva (advisor)
Sládek's American experience influenced all fields of his work. This thesi s analyzed Sládek a s a publisher, editor and translator, i t also focused on hi s correspondence and essays. Sládek admired America and strived for national confidence in our country a s well. The enthusiasm about America was j oined by Sládek' s de sire for hi s homeland 1 for freedom in Czech lands; generally1 for the improving of Czech situation. In his correspondence 1 Sládek wrote more about his physical problems and pains and he mentioned more negatives of American life. We can find there also more Sládek's own negative opinions. As far as the essays are concerned1 I focused on two of them: "Ústava Spojených obcí severoamerických" ("The Constitution of U ni ted States of America") and "První století severoamerické republiky" ("The First Century of the North-American Republic"). Also, I looked at Sládek's activity in Lumír (a Czech magazíne of 19th century) 1 where I was trying to find which translations Sládek published there. Finally1 Sládek as a translator is very sensitive to the relationships between poetical form and content. Though 1 we can say that his tendency is to nivelize the intensity of romantic dramatic expres s ion. On the other side 1 hi s translations of poems that resemble songs are perfect.
