This modification of working processes, number of machines and the definition of buffer stocks needs change of layout of production department. Alternative field curve modelling approach : regional models
Šopov, Boril ; Seidler, Jakub (advisor) ; Baruník, Jozef (referee)
In this thesis, we focus on thorough yield curve modelling. We build on extended classical Nelson-Siegel model, which we further develop to accommodate unobserved regional common factors and principal components. We centre our discussion on central European currencies' yield curves: CZK, HUF, PLN and SKK. We propose two novel models to capture regional dynamics; one based purely on state space formulation and the other relying also on principal components of the regional yield curves. Moreover, we supplement the models with two application examples in risk management and structural break detection. The main contribution of this thesis is a creation of a complete framework that enables us to analyse yield curves, to design risk scenarios and to detect structural breaks of various types.

Is import of goods from european countries to Czech republic more or less influenced by changes in nominal and real exchange rates than in non european countries?
Vereš, Jan ; Stroukal, Dominik (advisor) ; Slaný, Martin (referee)
This bachelor thesis analyses the connection between import of goods from foreign countries to Czech Republic and the exchange rate changes. The initial hypothesis of this paper is to prove that the depreciation of domestic currency has positive influence on balance of trade balance. For this purpose there is eight econometric models which were created by using time series from years 2003 to 2016. These models are divided in pairs among four chosen countries. For each country two models were created that follow the development of trade balance between Czech Republic and one of the countries in two different time frames. All the models always use the real effective exchange rate, growth rate of GDP for Czech Republic and growth rate of GDP for one of the countries as explanatory variable. It is connected with the second task of this thesis, which is the analysis of the differences in the behaviour of the models that belong to the countries which are members of the EU and these that are not. The aim is to find out whether the existence of tariffs on imported goods from countries out of the EU causes visible differences in the behaviour of the variables that were included in the models. Based on the outcomes of all eight models the main hypothesis has been proved right for three out of four countries. In the models for Germany, China and France the relation of real exchange rate and trade balance came out as positive in long term, in short term the outcome was ambiguous. The second question of this thesis has been answered, but its added value is questionable. The final models for each state do show some noticeable differences and they can be used to determine if the influence of the change of exchange rates on trade balance is smaller or bigger in the countries where tariffs are used. On the other hand, from the results we can learn that the sample of only four countries is insufficient for the deduction of any conclusions.

Vobořilová, Tereza ; Smolík, Petr (advisor) ; Zoulík, František (referee)
62 The Examination of a Witness in Civil Proceeding RESUMÉ The theme of my paper is an examination of a witness in civil proceedings. This institute is quite common in trial by court, during the process of evidence. During the process of evidence past events are being reconstructed and means of evidence, which number isn't definite, are used. One of the means of evidence, quite a frequent one, is the mentioned examination of a witness. I chose this theme because of the branch of law which it refers to and also because this institute appears to be multispecial, as it is applied not only in civil law, but also in other fields such as psychology or sociology. Study of this issue therefore enabled me to look into these branches and so in my paper I tried to partly cover other fields as well. At the beginning of my paper I deal with development of this means of evidence, as its' usage was common long time ago. This institute was highly regarded in the old Roman law because of its' verbality. Subsequently, the written form predominated and therefore the testimony of a witness was not of such significance as documents. Over time when verbal testimony was more often used, it was again brought to the fore and by gradual historical development it gained its' current form. The witness person itself is the focal issue...
