Major industrial accidents in the Czech Republic - accident analysis of LPG
Maťa, Jakub ; MBA, Petr Bulíček, (referee) ; Kotek, Luboš (advisor)
The first part of diploma thesis focuses on the characteristics of LPG accidents, their prevention, evaluation and manifestations, the understanding of which is a key prerequisite for statistical evaluation. Next, attention is paid to the characteristics of LPG, which is complemented by safety and identification of the substance and a survey of LPG storage together with protection and safety zones. The main part of the thesis describes individual LPG accidents in the Czech Republic between 2003 and 2022, which are evaluated by the ESIA method and the ISAAC causal model. Finally, a statistical evaluation and a proposal for a correctional measure together with its economic evaluation is made.
Modern methods for assessing workplace ergonomics
Pekařová, Jana ; Kotek, Luboš (referee) ; Tůma, Zdeněk (advisor)
The aim of the bachelor's thesis is an assessment of the current state of knowledge in the field of workplace ergonomics. Based on the theoretical part, the assessment of Masaryk Memorial Cancer Institute workplace using RULA method is processed. Evaluation and recommendations for practice follow.
Safety of bee frame making machine
Čagan, Petr ; Tůma, Zdeněk (referee) ; Kotek, Luboš (advisor)
In the research part, this bachelor's thesis elaborates on the legislative requirements regarding the operation of simple machinery, including the method of safety analysis in accordance to ČSN EN ISO 12100. The second part contains a description and safety analysis of the bee frames making machine, including proposed measures and treated risks.
Major industrial accidents in the Czech Republic - accident analysis of liquid automotive fuels
Černota, Jan ; MBA, Petr Bulíček, (referee) ; Kotek, Luboš (advisor)
This thesis is focused on the analysis of significant industrial accidents with liquid motor fuels in the Czech Republic. The theoretical part of the thesis describes liquid motor fuels in terms of their physical and hazardous properties with a focus on storage safety, as well as accidents associated with liquid fuels, including legislative requirements for prevention of major accidents, fuels phenomena in these accidents and risk assessment of major accidents. In the practical part, the most significant industrial accidents are analysed, including information flow mapping, identification of causes and interpretation of consequences. The obtained data were then subjected to statistical analysis, based on which a proposal for measures to limit the recurrence of similar accidents is presented.
Probabilistic safety assessment of operation
Jordánová, Petra ; Mladý, Ondřej (referee) ; Kotek, Luboš (advisor)
This thesis deals with the method of modelling event trees and fault trees within the probabilistic safety assessment at the Dukovany nuclear power plant. In the first part, probabilistic safety assessment is presented, along with a description of the used analyses, specifically ETA and FTA, and the software used for development of probabilistic models at nuclear power plants in the Czech Republic. Then Large LOCA accident is described, for which a pilot model is developed in the second part of this thesis. The main aim of this thesis is a replacement of the original modelling method with a new modelling. The presented method focuses, in addition to a development of event trees and fault trees, primarily on the substitution of previously used house event for initiating events. In order to prove correctness of the created model, the cut sets from both models are compared. The benefit of the work is the elaboration of a pilot model that utilizes a different modelling method. Thanks to the presented modelling method, the existing number of event trees can be significantly reduced, and manual setting of house events can be removed. This approach simplifies the work with the model and shortens the calculation time.
Measurement of working environment parameters in machine assembly
Kutík, Miroslav ; Křivánek, David (referee) ; Kotek, Luboš (advisor)
The main goal of this bachelor's thesis is the investigation and measurement of selected parameters of the work environment and their effect on people. The measured environment is a newly built hall, which is supposed to prove the stability and relevance of quality in the investigated area. An essential part of the issue is extensive research dealing with the concepts of ergonomics, human understanding of ergonomics, and selected parameters of the work environment. These chapters explain how to achieve healthy workplace well-being to increase productivity. The practical part deals with the processing of measured values, which include climatic conditions, dangerous compounds, and lighting. Each mentioned variable contains a measurement procedure, the measurements, and evaluation. This evaluation connects theoretical knowledge with practice.
Measurement of working environment parameters in machine manufacturing
Novák, Lukáš ; Křivánek, David (referee) ; Kotek, Luboš (advisor)
This bachelor thesis deals with description, measure and practical evaluation of working environment parametres. There were four parametres evaluated – temperature, relative humidity, concentration of CO2, concentration of airdust and lighting. The measurement took place at three different workplaces.
Possibilities of product release in a manufacturing enterprise
Sechra, David ; Kotek, Luboš (referee) ; Rozehnalová, Jana (advisor)
The bachelor's thesis deals with the product's release in the Brno production plant of Bosch Rexroth. First, a theoretical introduction to the issue is described, including an introduction to analysis methods of failures in the production process. The practical part deals with the description of the company's current state of product release and its analysis. The work ends with suggestions and recommendations regarding the analysis findings and a description of the current state.
Use of Head-mounted displays in risk management for machine tools
Jelínek, Martin ; Kotek, Luboš (referee) ; Tůma, Zdeněk (advisor)
This diploma thesis deals with the design and technical possibilities of VR headsets and their application in mechanical engineering, specifically in the field of risk management in machine tools, using experience from other areas and history. The practical part of the thesis comprises a risk analysis carried out on a single selected machine (vertical machining center) by means of checklists and virtual technologies. The risk analysis techniques used are subsequently compared and evaluated. The results are then assessed and a proposal for the use of virtual reality in practice is put forward.
Evaluation of the local muscular load on the production line
Slámová, Nikola ; Tůma, Zdeněk (referee) ; Kotek, Luboš (advisor)
This diploma thesis focuses on local muscle load in production processes. The performed analysis evaluates the state of the load on specific lines. The diploma thesis is complemented by preventive measures that should reduce the load.
