Multimedial Home Computer Network Design
Herman, Jaromír ; Jordán, Vilém (referee) ; Ondrák, Viktor (advisor)
The topic of this bachelor thesis is to design a computer network for multimedial home on the basis of the investor’s requirements. The bachelor thesis is divided into three parts. The first part provides with various possibilities of the computer network design in theory. The second part summarizes an analysis of the current network in its inconvenient state. The last part presents the realization of the particular design itself. The bachelor thesis also contains the project costing and the project drawing documentary materials.
Remote Temperature Sensing

This master's thesis deals with wireless sensor network and temperature sensors with aim to design and implement remote temperature sensing central based on mesh topology. This paper discuss components of board modules, their function, and principles of RF PCB design. It describes the development tools and application displaying measured values.
Modern trends in Wi-Fi IEEE 802.11 networks security
Lieskovan, Tomáš ; Škorpil, Vladislav (referee) ; Endrle, Pavel (advisor)
This work treats the matters of wireless networks, Wi-Fi. The paper describes the various principles of coding, such as WEP, WPA and WPA2. At first the WEP security method is analyzed with the view of the fact that it doesn´t meet contemporary safety requirements, further its successor WPA, namely TKIP and AES authentication methods, and last but not least WPA2 which nowadays serve as a safety standard. The work assesses the safety risks of individual security methods and makes several recommendations to achieve maximum security for wireless networks. In the work a commercially available hardware and for free dissemination available software (Open Source) are used.
Location Estimation of Objects in WiFi Communication Network
Kohoutek, Jan ; Strnadel, Josef (referee) ; Šimek, Václav (advisor)
The purpose of the thesis is to design and physically implement a system for location of devices in a Wi-Fi based networks deployed in the interior of small and medium-sized enterprises. First of all, the attention is given to the survey of commonly available technologies suitable for determination of the object position. Then, based on these findings, architecture of a location system comprising an array of sensor nodes and central processing unit is proposed. In conclusion, the results are presented and the fulfillment of the requirements is evaluated.
Wireless Network Aspects
Klein, Lukáš ; Neugebauer, Petr (referee) ; Kříž, Jiří (advisor)
This Bachelor’s thesis deals with the issue of wireless networks. It explains basic terms and classification of wireless networks. It also describes the international standard IEEE 802.11 and its extensions. Closed attention is given to the security of wireless networks including safety recommendations for each group of networks.
Project Proposal of Introducing Wireless Network
Husák, Petr ; Smolíková, Lenka (referee) ; Doskočil, Radek (advisor)
This work deals with the project proposal of introducing wireless network at elementary school ZŠ Horácké square 13. It analyzes the options for the project and proposes measures to increase the probability of successful project implementation using project management methods. The outcome is plan for management and course the project.
Analysis of delay dependence of modern communication services and channels, QoS optimization
Rozman, Jiří ; Szőcs, Juraj (referee) ; Endrle, Pavel (advisor)
The main aim of this thesis is to familiarize with options of services using real-time data transfer in wireless networks. Theoretical part presents wireless network based on IEEE 802.11 standard and its practical use. Large part is focuses on 802.11e standart, that provides support for quality of service in wireless networks. Furthemore this thesis deals with transport and applicaton protocols supporting multimedia streaming over computer network. Second chapter is focused on analyzing real computer network with purpose in measuring parametrs influencing quality of service such as bandwith, delay, jitter and loss. Last part deals with the design of wireless network in OPNET Modeler enviroment with focus on simulating parameters that influence quality of service.
Thread Smart Home Model
Sieklik, Ivan ; Fedra, Zbyněk (referee) ; Povalač, Aleš (advisor)
This thesis is focused on smart buildings where communication and automatization technologies are deployed. It includes overview and description of frequently applied network protocols in smart homes and their side by side comparison with an emphasis on Thread networking protocol. The next chapters describe details and parameters of used development boards provided by NXP Semiconductors and their implementation in a smart home model. Subsequent chapters are focused on hardware and software components which are the basis for smart home model’s internal workings. The last chapter highlights how a physical model of a smart home was developed with suggestions for future improvements.
Discovery of Wireless Sensor Network Topology Using Genetic Algorithms
Dalecký, Štěpán ; Samek, Jan (referee) ; Zbořil, František (advisor)
The thesis deals with a design of the genetic algorithm that is able to discover the wireless sensor network topology using signal strength among particular sensors. At first, the thesis describes the theory of genetic algorithm and wireless sensor network. Subsequently, on the basis of this theory, the genetic algorithm serving for the wireless sensor network topology discovery has been designed. The thesis also describes important features of the algorithm implementation. In conclusion, the outcomes have been reviewed.
Design of small-size data networks with advanced services
Vaněk, Jiří ; Kubánková, Anna (referee) ; Novotný, Vít (advisor)
The main objective of this thesis is to get acquainted with the field of designing professional data networks and with typical network service required at these networks. A basic description of network hierarchy and of network elements is part of this thesis. At the same time, individual network services and their usage are defined. At the latter part of the thesis there is a suggestion of design creation steps and of service implementation. Further on, the thesis describes a real design of a laboratory task and it’s practical implementation. Detailed guidelines how to complete a laboratory task are part of this thesis.
