Observation will be mainly applied to the development of the number and structure of job opportunities in the selected villages. These indicators will be helpful to identify the new concentration of jobs in the Prague metropolitan area. Subsequent analysis of commuting to work in selected villages partly answers the question of how the commuting links between elements of the Prague metropolitan area have changed and whether there is a noticeable trend towards the creation of new centers, which would include also non-residential functions, such as significant offer of an employment and services. In the case study of one selected municipality will be subsequently followed up...

Gruberová, Veronika ; Vostrovská, Zdenka (advisor) ; Vebrová, Ludmila (referee)
Bachelor thesis deals with unemployment in the Karlovy Vary Region, and tries to identify the main factors that cause it. From comparison of regional values of selected macroeconomic indicators with average values for the Czech Republic came out that Karlovy Vary's region is significantly economically underdeveloped. The main aim of the work is to determine to what extent the employers in the Opava region are satisfied with the level of human resources. The emphasis is on education, motivation, performance and health of employees and job seekers. In order to compare the quality of human resources in the Moravian-Silesian region with other regions in the Czech Republic, an analysis of selected indicators in the period of 2003 -- 2012 was conducted. The analysis is supplemented by the scoring method for determining the ranking of the individual regions. The results of the analysis as well as the calculation from the scoring method clearly show that the values of indicators of development of regional development concerning the issue of human resources in the Moravian-Silesian region are significantly above average. Holušová, Karolína ; Kouřilová, Jana (advisor) ; Tomešová, Jana (referee)
The thesis focuses on regional disparities and changes in the educational structure of the population in selected regions of the Czech Republic. The main objective of the thesis is to determine whether and how the educational structure affects the regional competitiveness. The growth of GDP, unemployment and the changes in the education structure from 2001 to 2010 are the main aspects of the thesis. The correlation coefficient has been calculated in order to support the relation between the educational structure of population and the economical competitiveness of regions. The correlation coefficient confirmed that the decrease of unemployment rate depends on the educational structure of population and rejected that the rise of GDP depends on the educational structure of the population.

Čech, Bohuslav ; Dočkal, Dalibor (advisor) ; Zemplinerová, Alena (referee)
This thesis focuses on innovation and their forms, theories of innovation as a source of economic cycles and innovation activity within the entrepreneur theory. On these basics using a deductive method creates a new theory of population as the only real source of innovation potential. This theory is then used for analysis with focus on quantity -- number of inhabitants and quality -- educational structure of inhabitants. It leads to the conclusion, that Czech republic doesn't have enough sources for innovation driven economic growth.

Jedlička, Roman ; Chytilová, Helena (advisor) ; Pichaničová, Ludmila (referee)
This paper examines impact of the volume and structure of expenditure on quality of tertiary education expressed by the number of elite universities. The thesis also critically evaluates the academic rankings and their methodology. With econometric analysis based on data of OECD countries and partner countries I was able to prove that the total volume of expenditure positively affects the quality of tertiary education. When evaluating structure of expenditures, different results emerged. While the private expenditures positively affect the quality of tertiary education, the impact of the public expenditures on the quality of tertiary education has not been detected. Possible causes of these results are discussed consequently.
