Analysis of the canistherapy

This diploma thesis deals with the use of canistherapy in the special education practise. It records the development, methods, forms and type sof canistherapy, included risks and benefits of this psychoterapeutic method. The research parts maps the relationship between the education of dog handlers and the quality of their fieldwork.
Breeding of a leopard gecko in a kindergarden and it's utilization for awakening and intensifying children's interest in nature

This thesis is focused on the theme of the reciprocal action of animals and pre-school children. It introduces us to the breeding of leopard geckos in kindergartens (with its benefits and disadvantages). Based on case studies, it describes a leopard gecko's influence on preschool children's personalities in kindergarten. The main method of research involves observing individual children as well as a group of children in a one- room kindergarten, Lísteček. Kindergarten Lísteček enrolls children from 3 to 7 years of age, so the composition of children is heterogenic. The maximum capacity of the kindergarten is 28 children and it is part of a primary school. Individual situations and interactions between the children and the geckos wer recorded by videorecording, photogallery and questionare examinations between parents and children conducted by the kindergarten. The children exhibted a natural interest in the exotic animals and the school breeding was evaluated positively. The children's interest in new information was not limited to the school breeding program, they showed interest in the natural world as well. The contact with the geckos brought the children joy, positive emotions, and were a calming influence. Other benefits were the developement of the five senses, learning to cooperate while...

This bachelor thesis deals with canistherapy and its use in practise. Theoretical part describes the process of integration the dog into the therapy, methods and activities, which are use in canistherapy. Furthermore, there is explained the difference between canisterapeutic dog, guide dog, signal dog and assistance dog; description of associations and organisations and their exams, which are necessary for the practise. The work also includes comparison of canistherapy in the Czech Republic, the United States and the Great Britain. In the practical part there is description of our canistherapeutic exams. It is based on specific canistherapeutic practise and description of meetings and activities, which are focused on the positive influence of dog's presence. The method of investigation follows mainly from direct intervention and preparation of canisterapeutic meetings, as well as from the study of professional literature. The bachelor thesis shows that the dog's presence during the meetings has a positive influence on concentration, motivation and work.
The Use of Animals in Ecocentres to Educate Students in Primary Education

The theses is dealing with use of animals in programes of enviromental educations in rating students in primary school which is realizing by center of enviromental and ecological educations in Czech republic. Teoretical part is dedicated to benefits that brings the animals to the educations, risks educations with animal help. The relationships to animals and stances which can made the positiv experiences. In research part is made the combined research. In kvantitativ part is made the analysis of 85 ekocenters, and their programs with animals, on whose basic was made qualitative structural interview. It was done 10 interviews between workers of czech ekocenters. The goal is describe, how are the animals used for the education of children. My findings are, that the most common species use is a bird (34 %). Students experience direct contact with the animal on 46 %, in 26 % living animal in not actually part of the program. Safety of the student sis controlled by following Health and Safety Regulation and via pedagogical supervision. The safety of the animal is assured during the program by the lecturer and while not in use within program by following animal welfare. Canaan Dog and Dog Assistant Education

The topic of this thesis is Canaan dog including dog assistant education. The first part is theoretical and introduces the reader to the Canaan dog breed. The origin of this rare and very old breed is Izrael and first dogs were imported to the Europe and America in 60s of 20th century. The lack of Canaan dogs in Europe causes problems with breeding and transmission of genetic diseases. Especially in the Czech republic there is only few dogs. The teoretical part introduces a transmission of genetic diseases and other diseases. The practical part is focused on a creation of a genealogy of Canaan dogs in the Czech republic. Further I studied inbreeding. In the second part I studied the use of dog in education. The practical part are two education programs, which I created. The first training program is about dogs behaviour, it's also tested in practice and its completed results are part of the appendix. Pupils will learn important information about dogs, how to handle and understand a dog or information about a primitive breed like rare Canaan dog. The second education program is designed for high school students. The program is about inbreeding and includes text and worksheet. The popularity of having animals in Prague primary schools

This thesis deals with the subject of keeping and using animals in primary schools. The theoretical part of this thesis reviews various scientific studies into the impact of animals on pupils during education and the possible benefits of animal breeding in schools. Furthermore, the conditions for safe breeding and the most frequently kept animals in schools are discussed as well as the risks and difficulties that their breeding and daily maintenance brings. Moreover, it discusses the need to evaluate the welfare of school animals and legislative precautions on the subject in the Czech Republic. The practical part of this thesis details investigations into the number of Prague primary schools where animals were kept in the school year 2017/2018. Through interviewing a representative sample of schools, it was found that 37 % of Prague's primary schools kept an animal. Furthermore, the different species of animals kept in the schools, their location within the schools, the person bearing responsibility for the animals and the usage and the frequency of it within the curriculum were studied. It was found that 52 % of teachers do not use the school animal more often than once a month.
