Evaluation tools for assessment of school programme in educational process

The master thesis deals with the evaluation tools available for the assessment of the educational programme in the pedagogical process. The aim of this work is to determine the attitudes and practical experience in school management through the use of evaluation tools in practice and to recommend management schools in the selection of appropriate evaluation tools. The work is divided into two parts, theoretical and practical. The theoretical part is based on the literature analysed in terms related to the evaluation of school assessment tools. The practical part contains the results of an investigation which was carried out by questionnaire in primary schools and kindergartens in the Czech Republic. The main aim of the practical part is to determine which evaluation tools for school self-assessment are used. From the information obtained, the results of the survey, experiences and attitudes of school management in the area of available school self-assessment evaluation tools, were analysed.

SELF-EVALUATION IN SECONDARY SCHOOLS Abstract The dissertation thesis focuses on self-evaluation - self-evaluation of schools - in secondary schools in the Czech Republic with an emphasis on creation and development of professional community of teachers and creation of schools as Learning Organizations. The current state of research in the field of self-evaluation is described by the study of Czech and foreign literature. Self-conducted empirical investigation helped to determine the real state of its implementation in our secondary schools. In the framework of the thesis, self-evaluation is understood as a condition for further development of the school, improvement of the quality of teachers and all school activities; so that the school would be able to best reflect the needs of the market and its social partners. The purpose is to allow the school itself to assess its situation, to define its own problems and to find solutions - to find self-improvements. The thesis introduces a variety of approaches, benefits and difficulties that the current state of self-evaluation causes. Evaluation and Auto-evaluation - theory, practice, contexts. With specialize in the leadership

The central theme of this thesis is auto-evaluation or self-evaluation of the school. The author discusses this issue in a comprehensive concept and interrelations - from theory to practice. He presents a fixed theoretical foundation, as well as analysis and interpretation of results from field mapping to professionals and practitioners. He offers to schools methodological guidelines for auto-evaluation activities. It also includes analysis of legislative framework, the discussion of the risks associated with auto-evaluation processes and current developments and planned changes (as of May 2011) in this area. Particular attention is devoted to the role of managers in schools in the autoevaluation process and its planning, organization and management. In detail, the author deals with some methods that can be used well in practice. The thesis is based on the current state of auto-evaluation of the Czech primary and secondary schools. It tries to grasp the issue in the broadest view. It also aims to provide schools the seizable platform of evaluation and auto-evaluation. Presented text adds on the topic new views, attitudes and perceptions.
