Capture of the abduction contracture of the hip joint as a biomechanical cause of idiopathic scoliosis
Mařík, Antonín ; Nováková, Tereza (advisor) ; Pavlů, Dagmar (referee)
Author: Bc. Antonín Mařík Title: Capture of the abduction contracture of the hip joint as a biomechanical cause of idiopathic scoliosis The theme of the thesis is based on lectures and numerous publications by Professor Tomasz Karski, MD, PhD from Lublin, published in international journals (from the 1990s to the present). The work is based on the biomechanical cause of the "so-called idiopathic" scoliosis, the cause of which is considered primarily the restriction of adduction in the right hip joint - so-called an abduction contracture. This contracture is one of the symptoms of "Syndrome of Contracture" according to Prof. Hans Mau (Tübingen, Germany). The years-long prevailing "standing easy" attitude on the right lower limb is a manifestation of the abduction contracture in the right hip joint and the cause of scoliosis in two groups and three types of classification of "biomechanical" scoliosis according to Karski. The main object of the thesis is an objective assessment of the relationship between the abduction contracture of the right hip joint and the idiopathic scoliosis (IS) of the spine in the examined set of probands. Clinical and anthropological examinations were performed in a group of 20 patients with idiopathic scoliosis and 16 control probands, including specialized tests on the...

Compensation of postural dysbalances in blind cyclists
Nedvěd, Jonáš ; Daďová, Klára (advisor) ; Knappová, Věra (referee)
Abstract title: Postural deviations and their compensations of blind cyclist Thesis objective: The objective of this thesis is to create a compensatory motional program for a visually impaired client. Compensatory motional program deals with the positive influence of defective body posture and pain alleviation of relevant muscular areas, particularly in the areas of cervical, thoracic and lumbar spine. Method: The research method is qualitative examinations by usage of pretest and posttest designs. The thesis is conceived as the case report of a 31-year-old patient with acquired handicap. Exercise in fitness center was selected as part of compensatory motional program with the application of stretching, relaxing and work-out exercise. Additionally, hippotherapy was practiced to improve the stability of individual body areas, as well as to generally enhance the body posture. The testing methods for defective body postures by Jaroš and Lomíček, Matthiase; as well as testing method by Janda, were applied for the verification of program effect. The HHT motor test was applied for the verification of hippotherapy. Results: Compensatory motional program positively influenced the body posture of the clients already after three months of exercise. The integral part of hippotherapy was also the influence of...
Assessment of motor performance and body holding in young school-age children
Pinkasová, Lenka ; Bunc, Václav (advisor) ; Hošková, Blanka (referee)
Title: Assessment of motor performance and body holding in young school-age children Objectives: The aim of this thesis is the assessment of motor performance, body holding and basic information concerning movement activity in young school-age children and to reveal any possible interrelations between these data. Hypothesis: 1. The volume of movement load in young school-age children affects their motor performance and body holding. 2. Motor performance evaluated by a modification of the UNIFITTEST has a significant correlation with body holding in young school age children. Methods: In order to determine the level of motor performance of the children, I used a modification of the UNIFITTEST (Měkota et al., 2002), while I also evaluated their basic somatic parameters. Their body holding was evaluated according to Mathias (Hošková and Matoušová 2007), Jaroš and Lomníček (Hošková and Matoušová 2007) and Adams's Test (Haladová and Nechvátalová 2005). Information about the frequency of the children's sports activities and their lifestyle, I collected with the form of a short survey. The research group consists of 19 boys and 11 girls with an average age of 9 years old (age range 8-11 years - by 1.1.2018), mean body height of 1.4 m (σ=8,2 cm) and mean body weight of 36.5 kg (σ=9,1 kg). The importance of physical therapy in prognosis in patients with Pierre Robin sequence
Sedinová, Monika ; Smolíková, Libuše (advisor) ; Zounková, Irena (referee)
Clefts of orofacial komplex are the most common birth development defects. One of them is Pierre Robin sequence, which is characterized by presence of micrognathia, glossoptosis and upper airway obstruction. Because of these symptoms, isolated cleft palate "U" or "V" shaped can be part of the diagnose. Other clinical manifestations are feeding difficulties, obstructive sleep apnea syndrome and / or gastroesophageal reflux disease. The aim of the treatment is to secure the airway and the child's thriving after birth by using conservative or invasive treatment methods. Choosing of methods and procedures should be established by multidisciplinary cooperation. The other part of diploma thesis is trying to find out, which clinical manifestation are the most common in patients from the Czech Republic compare to foreign patients and the differences in management of the treatment. Furthermore we are trying to investigate, whether there is higher percentage of patients with delayed neuromotor development among PRS patients, which are under physical therapy. The last part is trying to find out the relationship between the poor posture and PRS diagnose in children age 4 - 6 years.
The use of Klapp method in the physiotherapy of wrong body holding
LOJKOVÁ, Michaela
The main theme of this bachelor work is the use of Klapp method in the physiotherapy of wrong body posture. The theoretical part is mainly focused on wrong body posture, its´ consequances and the possibilites for rehabilitation. The chapter about wrong body posture also includes a sub-chapter about correct body holding. Besides that, the theoretical part is also focused on posture and deep stabilization system. Therefore the important chapter is about Klapp method. This chapter summarizes all important and relevant information from all available sources about the Klapp method. The practical part of this work is made from qualitative research in the form of detailed case reports. The research was made of three patients with wrong body posture who had problems with back pain and in one case also neck pain. The patients were comingfor a therapy almost every week for the time period of two months. The Klapp method was used almost exclusively in this therapy. The bachelor work had two goals. The first goal was to describe the Klapp method in physiotherapy. This goal was achieved in the chapter dedicated to Klapp method in the theoretical part of the work and further in the methodology part of the work where are described individual posititions of this method. The information about this method are extended by photos of individual positions from my own source which are being attached to this work. The second goal was to find out how this method can influence problems which arise in people with wrong body posture. I achieved this goal through the research part of this work. The therapy, which was used on patients and which focused mainly on Klapp method, reduced the pain in all my patients. Therefore it can be said that Klapp method positively influenced the problem of my patients. This bachelor work can be used as an educational material for physiotherapeutists and also for a broad public which would like to get a closer look on the problem with wrong body posture or with Klapp method.
Possibilities of physiotherapy in vertebral problems connected with children headache at the age from 0-15 years
PROCHÁZKOVÁ, Nikol
This thesis describes possibilities of physiotherapy for children under 15 years of age suffering from headaches associated with low back problems. Nowadays, children sit prolongated periods of time using computers and mobile phones. It often leads to poor posture, which can cause headaches. Improper sitting leads to weakening of trunk muscles, kyphotic spine, and neck muscle group overload. The aim of this study is to explore vertebral problems associated with headaches and propose specific options of physiotherapy to improve overall posture. The study consists of theoretical and practical parts. The theoretical part describes the anatomy of a spine and its connection to a head, and headache causes. Then it describes possibilities of physiotherapy to be used in case of a vertebral headache and issues. The practical part was processed by means of qualitative research. It consists of study objectives, methodology and results of the research. In a test group there were three children aged 9 to 15, two boys and one girl. Therapy was carried out every week for two months. Based on an input kinesiology test, each test person was assigned a short- and long-term rehabilitation and exercise plan. At the end of the therapy, the subjects had output kinesiology examination, the results were compared, and also evaluated by the subjects. The process is documented by photographs of the entry and exit inspections and sample exercises. With all test subjects, the headache receded, the respiratory stereotype was corrected and overall posture improved.
