Proposal for Changes of Human Resource Management in a Company

The thesis focuses on the area of human resource management and specifies the individual segments of this management. The work is divided into three basic parts: theoretical, analytical, and design. The theoretical part deals with theoretical foundations, primarily the definition of personnel activities and their various aspects. The analytical part is devoted to the analysis of human resource management in a selected company. The design part brings specific recommendations for changes in personnel management of this company, which are derived from theoretical sources and practical findings. The recommendations are designed to match the current situation in the company.
Application of Dunningova-Kruger effect in interviewing and hiring

The aim of this work is to use the Dunning-Kruger effect, a cognitive bias in which individuals with limited expertise tend to overestimate their abilities, as a skill assessment tool in employee selection. The theoretical section examines and explains the Dunning-Kruger effect, discusses the original study, and provides additional examples of the Dunning-Kruger effect from other studies. It also delineates the theory related to personnel issues. In the practical section, specific areas of testing are researched, and an experiment is conducted on students who are given tests to determine their ability to correctly assess their knowledge and skills in the areas of social intelligence, English language, and logical reasoning. Based on the results, the difference between their performance on the tests and their self-assessment is examined. In the discussion and conclusion, the results are interpreted and recommendations are proposed to personnel managers. The findings show that the effect is most pronounced when estimating ability of social intelligence and English. Self-assessment of logic skills proved to be the most reliable.
Recruitment and Selection of Employees in Selected Company

This thesis focuses on the analysis of the recruitment and selection of employees at CONTEG, s. r. o., based in Pelhřimov. The goal of the thesis is to evaluate the system of recruitment and selection of employees in the selected company and to suggest possible changes for the improvement of this system. The first part of the thesis concentrates on a general description and theoretical principles of human resource management, with an emphasis on the recruitment and selection of new employees. The content of the practical part involves examining the current state within the company, applying two research methods: quantitative and qualitative. The survey is conducted through a questionnaire, complemented by a structured interview with the director of the HR department. The questions included in the questionnaire are designed to provide quantifiable data suitable for statistical processing. This method of processing enables a thorough understanding of the problems the company faces. In conclusion, the thesis presents suggestions for making the recruitment and selection process more efficient.
Trends in Recruitment and Employee Selection

This bachelor thesis focuses on the issue of recruitment and selection of employees, especially on the identification of current trends and the following implementation of these trends into practical use. The aim of the bachelor thesis is to identify trends in recruitment and selection and to propose the implementation of these trends in corporate human resource management and then also to provide a complete analysis of the recruitment process. The thesis first focuses on understanding the issues through a literature search to study relevant topics such as recruitment and selection, defining old and modern methods or the potential of using artificial intelligence in the industry. This theoretical knowledge is then applied in the practical part, where through qualitative research it was possible to carry out a complete analysis of the recruitment process of the selected position and to find the deficiency that is eliminated through the created proposal for improvement. The conclusion of the thesis includes the new element created for testing the candidate as well as recommendations for possible improvements to increase the efficiency of the company's recruitment process, all in line with current trends in recruitment and selection.

The thesis is focused on human resources management and particular activities of the human resources process. The first part of the thesis deals with theoretical starting points, by defining basic concepts and specific HR activities. In the empirical part of the thesis, quantitative research was conducted across the international companies in the B2B market and simultaneously they have the performance of their activities in the territory of the Czech Republic. Then a case study of the selected company was conducted and proposals for improvement in the sub-areas of human resources activities were formulated based on identified problem areas. Furthermore, recommendations for improvement in the field of individual human resources activities are suggested.

This diploma thesis deals with the selection of new employees and their adaptation in a selected company. The thesis contains theoretical background of the issue of recruitment, selection and training of new employees. An analysis of internal documents is performed, followed by individual interviews with persons involved in the process of selecting and training new employees. Based on this analysis of the current situation, are designed proposed to improve the whole process of selecting and training employees for the selected company.

Legal and Taxations Aspects of the Job Creation in the Enterprise - Comparison of the Czech Republic and England

The key purpose of this Bachelor’s thesis is to analyze current situation which is connected with legal and some taxations aspects of job creation in the enterprise in the context of Czech and English legal environment. A notion of „job creation“ is limited only to recruitment, selection and taking up of employees with contract of employment. Moreover there are some partial aims that are followed. The first partial aim is an identification of some problems that are connected with following the legal rules, which can be met by the management during job creation in both countries. The second partial aim is, according to author’s opinion, to present suggestions, how the problems should be solved by the management of the enterprise. The part of this aim is an evaluation of advantages and disadvantages of suggestions presented. The third partial aim is to compare taxation charge of the employment income in the Czech Republic and in England. The result of that should be a determination of the taxation environment that is more optimal for tax deduction from employment income. The aims and purpose of this thesis is worked out on the background of theoretic foundations, that are important for understanding of the wider context of the thesis issue. The theoretic foundations are a conception and a signification of human resources; basic theoretic connections of employment law in the context of Czech and English legal code; and remuneration as a factor of tax costs for human resources in the enterprise. The core points of this thesis, by which the aims were fulfilled whether fully or partly, are summarized in the conclusion. There are mentioned also some problems, that arose during the work on this thesis, and their impact on the fulfillment of the aims.

In the final part are defined specific recommendations for personnel management in the company. These recommendations are formulated in accordance with the company’s current situation.
