A comparison of two developmental methods and their impact on behaviour

The goal of my thesis is to compare the impact of two developmental methods (role playing and discussion about a video specially recorded for the developmental activity). In theoretical part I introduce employee development area from a psychological point of view and I describe psychological concepts in the background of concrete skills as leadership, self-management, communication and influencing. I strive for deeper understanding of ways we use to absorb these skills and understanding of possibilities to be used to enhance employees' development whether we mean the concrete developmental methods or training and development process management as a whole. This knowledge is applicable in training and development, which is an area, where my research is conducted. In empirical part I made two researches. In qualitative research I was identifying target group developmental needs to be able to set relevant developmental goals and chose developmental methods corresponding with actual needs of employees which is an important premise of influencing behaviour. In the main research part I conducted quasi-experiment where I compare the target group score before and after the developmental intervention. I compared statistically significant differences between scores in experimental groups and in control group....

Methods and approaches used in Center Day services for people with intellectual disabilities

Master thesis has theoretical and empirical nature. Its aim is to verify the use and effectiveness of selected methods of working with people with intellectual disabilities in CDS for adults. The theoretical part is devoted to three basic themes. The first issue is devoted generally to persons with MP: MP definition, etiology, classification. Briefly analyzes the life situation of people with MP and their families. The second part focuses on social services to designated persons with MP, especially at day service centers for adults, outlining the personality and noted social worker and current legislation related to that. There is also a subsection dealing with the specifics of working with people with intellectual disabilities. The second part of the educational requirements for closed environments. In the third part present the outline of the four communication approaches. In the practical section describing the application of action research using different approaches in day services for adults with mental disabilities in the center Rolnicka Soběslav.
Communication Barriers between selected levels of management of medical facility

The aim of this work is to identify the most common communication errors in terms of transactional analysis taken from selected levels of management of medical facility, which undermine the social interaction at work, and analyse their causes and impact on the behaviour and experience of parties involved. Part of the work is a set of recommendations for the prevention and elimination of these barriers. For these goals to be met, I have developed questionnaires, particularly for top management, and especially for middle management, where the respondents assess themselves on how often they face barriers in the workplace and the impact of these barriers on their behaviour and experience. Their responses are processed in charts by allocation criteria. Communication theories and the barriers related to the identified data give an idea of how the top management of this medical facility (and possibly at other medical facilities of similar size and structure) should communicate with senior consultants with care. The contribution of this work should be to improve communication and achieve not only greater satisfaction for all employees, but also increase productivity during business hours. For this to transpire, it is first necessary to increase communication, especially the knowledge of effective communication, then accept their mistakes and make a constant effort to eliminate them. Some important basic concepts in communication, transactional, barriers of communication and removing communication barriers are clarified in the theoretical part. The practical part is focused on the environment of unnamed hospital. The most commonly met crossed transactions in the workplace and their impact on the behaviour and experience are shown and described there.
Transaction analysis in Helping Professions

Presented thesis deals with the use of transactional analysis in psychotherapy, counceling and helping professions. Theoretical part is dedicated to philosophy and history of this specialization, history of ČATA organization in Czech Republic, definition of key words and possibility of using transaction analysis. Practical part is formed by specific cases, which are gained throught the interviews held at the Alien Police Inspectorate, Longterm Residence Permit Group in České Budějovice which uses the analyse of Eric Berne´s games mentioned in transactional analysis. Parts of specific cases are features of games, interviews, graphical diagrams, analysis and evalutions. The aim of this work is to stress the importace of using the Eric Berne´s games in helping professions.
