Combined heat and power generation
Hlaváč, Ivan ; Zálešák, Martin (referee) ; Klimeš, Lubomír (advisor)
The bachelor thesis deals with the power generation by means of a combined gas-steam cycle. In the first part of the work, an overview and description of the combined cycle as well as of the Brayton cycle and the Rankine cycle are provided. The second part of the work focuses in the thermal analysis of the cycles. As a part of the work, a computer program was created, which allows for such thermal analysis of the combined cycle.
Thermal effects in machine tools
Fikejsl, Ondřej ; Štěpánek, Vojtěch (referee) ; Hermanský, Dominik (advisor)
This bachelor’s thesis is specialized search dealing with thermal effects in machine tools and then their compensation. This work is divided into three main parts. First part explains the basic terms and temperature sensors that can be used to measure thermal errors. Second part deals with the thermal influences acting on machine tool, as well as the methods of their compensation. Last part analyzes the specific part of the machine tool including the examples from the manufacturers and their methods of preventing the above-mentioned thermal effects.
Thermal-Mechanical Analysis of the Cylinder of the Four-stroke Engine
Ptáček, Petr ; Raffai, Peter (referee) ; Dlugoš, Jozef (advisor)
This diploma thesis is focused on creating a finite element method model of a four-stroke engine with a purpose to determine an impact on cylinder bore distortion caused by several types of loading. Introduction of this work covers research of possibilities in modelling thermal-structural analysis of cylinder liner and verifications of the analysis results. An Ansys model was further created and cylinder liner radial deformation caused by head bolts tightening and thermal loading coming from combustion was determined. Finally, a whole engine working cycle was simulated with a gas pressure loading and its final impact on the total cylinder liner radial deformation was defined.
Repeatable Torque Load Equipment Design for Vehicle Steering System Testing
Novák, Pavel ; Ludvík, Jan (referee) ; Ramík, Pavel (advisor)
The object of this work is design braking device with high repeatability and reproducibility that is used to analyse the measurement system. I developed this work in cooperation with TRW-DAS Dačice a.s. At the beginning, I made a search of the chassis system, testing of ball joints and steering. Furthermore, I made search of the MSA and the types of braking devices. The rest of the work is focused on the design and the thermal analysis of braking device. Then there are the actual test.
The utilization of computer graphic in power electrical engineering
Bzduch, Pavel ; Aubrecht, Vladimír (referee) ; Kuchyňková, Hana (advisor)
The aim of this work is to describe news in Autodesk Inventor Professional 2008. In second part of the work there are described the possibilities of technical drawing in Autodesk Inventor. In third part there is mentioned basic information about ANSYS Workbench. There is thermal simulation of asynchronous motor too.
Design of rotating rectifier for synchronous generator
Skurka, Tomáš ; Cibulka,, Tomáš (referee) ; Ondrůšek, Čestmír (advisor)
This diploma thesis is focused on the design of a rotating rectifier for a synchronous generator. Based on defined requirements, the new rotating rectifier concept has been created that allows a greater current range than existing rectifier used by Siemens Electric Machines s.r.o. The thesis is divided into five parts. The first part deals with the search of existing rotating rectifiers and other design possibilities. The requirements for the rotating rectifier were defined in the second part of the thesis. The following section deals with both electrical design of rectifier elements and varistors. The fourth part of the diploma thesis describes the thermal analysis. On the basis of thermal analysis the operating conditions of the rotating rectifier were determined. The last part of the thesis is devoted to mechanical and modal analysis. Based on these analyses, the strength and operability of the new rotating rectifier concept were verified.
Thermal phenomena modeling of air electronic unit
Ančík, Zdeněk ; Toman, Jiří (referee) ; Vlach, Radek (advisor)
This thesis is focus on thermal analysis of aircraft electronic devices and their cooling possibilities. The two analytic methods of thermal analysis are applied on two particular technical objects. The laboratory experiment of non-contact temperature measurement method is applied on real unit. The results of simulation are compared with results of experiment.
Thermal analyses of servo motor
Kratochvila, Lukáš ; Duroň, Jiří (referee) ; Vlach, Radek (advisor)
This Master’s thesis is focused on thermal analyses of servomotors per computational modeling with finite element method. The goal was to set the model for the analyses and verify it with experiment and evaluate achieved results.
The temperature profile of the power switching device of low voltage for different operating conditions
Mejzlík, Tomáš ; Valenta, Jiří (referee) ; Dostál, Lukáš (advisor)
The heat generated in a circuit breaker can be transmitted in two ways: Either through metal parts of current path to conductors outside of device or through plastic parts or air of chassis. The accuracy of the simulation depends on the accuracy of the 3D model and all his parts and it also depends on precise definition of materials with precise definition of electrical and thermal parameters. Electrical circuit breaker has various source of the heat which results in raising temperature of the device above the level of environment. Heat sources are: 1) Joule’s loss of the circuit breaker current path. 2) Heat loss in a bimetal, which is used for thermal release. 3) Resistivity of contacts. This thesis deals with static state of thermal analysis so the sources do not include transient heat source for switching OFF and switching ON. Electrical circuit breakers are made in smaller and smaller forms however their electrical parameters are not decreasing with size. There is logical conclusion that there is more heat on the same unit size which makes thermal analysis of circuit breaker one of the most important part of development.
Thermal Model of Outer Rotor Permanent Magnet Synchronous Machine
