Entrance knowledge and ideas about european countries of pupils of 6th and 7th grade.
VLTAVSKÁ, Ivana
This diploma thesis deals with the entrance knowledge and ideas that pupils in the 6th and 7th grades of primary schools have about European countries. The resulting data came from a research survey, which was preceded by a discussion of professional literature and other sources related to the topic of the thesis and the design of the research survey itself. The analytical part of the thesis focuses on the level of input knowledge and ideas, which is compared according to the different types, location and the size of the schools surveyed. The thesis also focuses on the differences in the knowledge between grades and genders and the sources of this information. There are also several possibilities of applying these results directly to the teaching of Europe at the 1st and 2nd stage of elementary schools. The practical part of the thesis presents a proposal for teaching activities using the CLIL method, which is based on the results of the research, professional literature and practical knowledge. The activities are complemented by a methodological manual for teachers and can be used in Geography and English language.

The created CLIL materials are designed for the pupils of the 9th grade of secondary schools, and they deal with the topic of the energy industry. All created materials respect the 4C system, which is one of the tools how to prepare lessons where the CLIL method is used. The chosen learning activities were verified in practise and the course of this verification is described in the methodical part of this thesis. The sub-goal of this thesis was to evaluate the impact of the teaching materials in relation to the level of acquired knowledge and skills. Teacher-made Materials for English Language Teaching
ČERMÁKOVÁ, Lucie
The aim of this thesis is to determine which teaching materials teachers in lower primary school use for teaching English and especially whether they prepare their own materials and what those materials are. Another aim is to create a set of teaching materials that can be used with pupils in English language lessons. The theoretical part of the thesis is dedicated to the characteristics of teaching materials for teaching English at the lower primary level, especially course books and other additional materials. It also looks into domestic and foreign web pages supporting teachers in creating their own teaching materials. The practical part of the thesis is divided into two parts. Staníček, Jan ; Martínek, Václav (advisor) ; Teplá, Milada (referee)
For more than 15 years, in the Czech Republic there has been the Grammar School Educational Program (here known as RVP G), which forces teachers to use more didactic and pedagogical knowledge in teaching. Unfortunately, suitable materials are not always available to provide such training (e.g., for the topic of "lipids"). This work then deals with the concept of lipids in textbooks and theses, and especially with the creation of new materials on selected subtopics to lipids and their testing in teaching. The results of this work will show that the topic of lipids is not processed well enough in selected textbooks according to selected criteria. Probably because the textbooks used are outdated. Other results will show that other authors have already solved this problem in their final theses by creating new materials that meet the selected criteria. Unfortunately, current lipid teaching aids lack recent practical biochemical knowledge, tasks to fix this knowledge and develop practical skills. Thus, this work aims to contribute to the pool of educational materials by creating new materials that will meet the requirements mentioned above, cowering these main topics - atherosclerosis, diseases of affluence, cholesterol, metabolism and relationships of macronutrients in the human body, omega-3 fatty...
