KSČ and political development in the district of Teplice-Šanov between 1945 and 1948

In the bachelor thesis I focus on the study of activities of KSČ in the district of Teplice-Šanov in period between years 1945 and 1948. The basis of my work comprise study of sources and literature. I concentrate my interest particularly on following thematic fields: organizational activity, personnel administration and acting in bodies of local selfgovernment (ONV Teplice- Šanov). Naturally I touch activities of other political parties with whom Communists clashed when they aimed to reach their goals.

Relations among elements of a triangle

This thesis summarizes not only most of the basic components and qualities of a triangle but it also brings pieces of information about triangles which are not usually taught at elementary and high schools. The aim of the thesis is to make readers acquainted with those components and to show differences between them. There are solved constructional and arithmetical problems in the last chapter. These problems utilize relations described in the thesis. The topic of these relations goes beyond mathematical curriculum of high schools. A part of the thesis is made of pictures to imagine better the terms described and the relations of components. All of the pictures are designed in a geometrical program called GeoGebra. Use of the Czech Press Agency for the purpose of propaganda

Diploma thesis Use of the Czech News Agency for the purpose of propaganda analyses the relationship between the Czech News Agency, state and its executive in seven time periods from the creation of Czechoslovakia in 1918 to its dissolution in 1993, when it got replaced by two separate states - The Czech Republic and The Slovak Republic. The aim of the thesis is to delimitate the status and mission of the Czech News Agency in relation to the state and its executive, considering the legislation, in each of the seven chosen periods by conducting a qualitative content analysis of particular news issued by the Czech News Agency. With the use of the delimitation of the status and mission of the Czech News Agency in relation to the state, and the subsequent qualitative content analysis of the news, I demonstrate how this relationship was reflecting on the news content. For this purpose I use the critical discourse analysis in light of the discourse-historical approach. Besides the analysis of seventy news stories from newspapers, this thesis also includes a comparison of the two analysed periods of Prague spring and perestrojka at the end of the 80s. Use of the Czech Press Agency for the purpose of propaganda

Diploma thesis ,,Use of the Czech press agency for the purpose of propaganda" analyses the relationship between the Czech press agency, state and its executive in seven time periods from 1918 - 1993. Theoretical aim of this work is to delimitate the status and mission of the Czech press agency in relation to the state and its executive in each of the seven chosen periods, based on the official legislation. Practical part focuses on an analysis of ten randomly chosen news stories concerning government's activities from three different journals in each of the seven periods. Each analysed story contains one of the keywords government, party, minister or state. Each story is also produced by the Czechoslovak/Czech press agency. Main target of this work is to delimitate clearly the relationship between the Czech press agency and the state, then subsequently demonstrate, using qualitative analysis, how was this relationship reflected in the content of agency's news. For example, how was the communication between the Czech press agency and the state changing and how was the communication between the state and the public through the Czech press agency changing in each of the analysed periods. Development of party STAROSTOVÉ A NEZÁVISLÍ - from the local organization to the parliamentary party

The Mayors and Independents Movement (STAN) is in many aspects of the Czech party system a specific political entity to which has been paid insufficient attention in the academic sphere so far. Therefore, this diploma thesis comprehensively presents the origin and development of the Mayors and Independents movement in a descriptive form of a case study. Partial research questions aim to assess the degree of institutionalization of the STAN movement from the point of view of the theories of the authors Angel Panebianc or Vicky Randall and Lars Svåsand as well as the placement among the classical typologies of political parties from the point of view of internal party organization. The first part is analytical research focused on internal party processes, organizational settings, mutual relations between stakeholders, membership status and analysis of the structure of the STAN movement. The second part is devoted to the ideological and programmatic definition of the STAN movement, within which, in addition to program documents and attitudes of leading actors, the self-profile of the membership base from the data of the questionnaire survey is examined. Diploma thesis The collapse of the Civic Forum in the context of a new party system deals with the political movement Civic Forum, which was established after November 1989. Describes how the Civic Forum was what led to this event. Then there is the outlined operation of this movement and its influence on the development of the Czech party system. In other parts of the thesis describes the functioning of the successor party Civic Forum Civic Democratic Party, Civic Movement, and Civic Democratic Alliance. An important factor is also a breakup of the Czechoslovak federation.

Civic Forum: Phenomenon of Political Movement in the Process of Czech Party System Formation

This Master thesis deals with the phenomenon of political movements and their impact on the rising party systems in the Central and Eastern Europe countries. Movements were found in the context of social and geopolitical changes in this region and they represented the original type of political organization that was different from other political parties of Western type. The first part contains an analysis of the general theory of political parties and movements and their role in the process of democratic consolidation and stabilization of party systems. Part of the first ration that categorizes political movements in the context of theories of party families and the chapter containing the characteristics of political movements and rising party systems of selected countries in the region. In the next section follows a study of selected texts of Czech political scientists concerning issues of political movement called Civic Forum (OF), which is used as a theoretical introduction to the chapter analyzing OF. Similar target implements the part examining the ideological roots of the movement and specific anti-political politics in the Czech political system.
