Abstract The design builds up the area with 4 administrative objects, which are used as an informational technology park. The buildings are surrounded by public space. The space of the building is open, where formal and informal offices and collaboration places are located. It creates better working environment

The diploma work titled Ex/position is a project, exhibition, intervention of space, which determined itself as the topic and object of its research (analysis and interest). The Ex/position is an exhibition about an exhibition, a project about a project and a reflection about a context. The main output of the thesis is a curatorial project created in the concept of collaborative practice. The result of it is a collective work in the form of an exhibition. The thesis as a temporary gallery installation is created on the basis of the curatorial and as well authorial concept in collaboration with other authors. They were ideologically, formally, creationally involved in the collective work. The Ex/position reflects these topics: collaboration, the essence of the particular media and their contemporary intermediality, the relation between author and author, author and curator (and their blending) and the creation process of an exhibition.
The Activity of Caritas in Archdiocese of Prague between 1989 - 2009

Submitted thesis describes charitable activity in Christianity and its history as well as charitable activity in other religions. Thesis focuses mainly on research and the analysis of Prague archdiocese charitable activity within years 1989 - 2002 of available information. Paper presents findings that result from the analysis of charitable activity within areas of social work, humanitarian aid and above all development co-operation. In diploma thesis, we described various fulfilments of supportive development projects, especially the most conspicuous and the most significant participation in development activity -on project Remote adoption. The significance of this activity between years 1993 - 2009 reflects its results. Submitted paper qualifies results of analysis and determinates further possibilities of given problem`s examination. The basic purpose of thesis is on the basis of gained results, pointed on significant contribution of Prague archdiocese charitable activity not only within Czech Republic, but also in foreign countries. Moreover, the practical importance of thesis is seen as a feedback on complexity, range and variability of Prague archdiocese charitable activity for reader, other institutions as well as for Prague archdiocese itself. European Neighbourhood Policy (ENP) - problematic issues and reform

The thesis assesses the development of ENP since the introduction of the policy in 2004 in sectors: cooperation in justice and home affairs and trade liberalisation. The main objective of the work is to outline main problematic issues which are common for both sectors and the whole region under ENP umbrella. The analysis of both sectors is based primarily on data retrieved from official EU documents that evaluate what progress has been made so far. Clear-cut indicators and structure of the thesis divided into two parts representing each sector demonstrate their shared characteristics. Both sectoral analysis provide partial conclusions identifying weak and strong points of the policy. Each sectoral analyses consists of first phase describing the character of the sector in regard to actors, instruments and balance of the policy; and the second phase evaluating progress in the framework of the sector. The conclusions summarises the main problematic issues.
Visegrad group V4: formation, results and perspectives for further cooperation

This thesis is dedicated to the sub-regional cooperation in Central Europe within the framework of the Visegrad Group. The aim of the thesis is to describe the role of the Visegrad cooperation in the democratic transformation of the Czech Republic, Hungary, Poland and Slovakia and integration to the EU and NATO. The thesis investigates the economic, political and cultural cooperation of the Visegrad Group since its establishment until today. In the conclusion I point out the viability of the Visegrad four in the enlarged EU, when the joint representation of Central Europe remains crucial and the experience of the Visegrad countries can be exemplary for the transformation of the EU's immediate neighborhood.
Home preparation of pupils with specific learning disabilities

The thesis addresses the issue of students' home preparation at primary school. The thesis is focused on students with learning disabilities, so in the first chapter of the theoretical part these disabilities are analyzed, describing their etiology and education opportunities in the school education system of the Czech republic. Re-education, as one of the ways through which we can help to eliminate manifestations of specific learning disabilities, is also emphasised. The characteristics of a child of primary school, education maturation, the process of learning and cognitive processes are contained in the second chapter of the thesis. Home preparation, its functions, types and factors are comprised in the third chapter. This chapter also describes the necessity of cooperation between parents and the school. The empirical part provides the description of home preparation of pupils at primary school with specific learning disabilities. The end of the practical part shows us a collection of games, activities and experiences of our respondents, which are enriched with vertified activities, games and recommendations related to the pupils with specific learning disabilities. The Role of Mayors in the Development of Selected Peripheral Areas of the Košice Region

The master thesis focuses on the role of mayors in community development in selected peripheral micro-regions of Košice region. These micro-regions represent two types of peripheral areas which were defined by the differences in quality of social and human capital in the region. These types were identified by analysis of the literature. The main objective of this thesis was to assess whether there is a relationship between these types of peripherals and the quality of human and social capital of citizens, but especially of mayors in the specific peripheral micro-regions. This objective was fulfilled both by the analysis of available secondary sources of information and also by investigation in peripheral municipalities. This investigation was especially concerned on identifying the level of cooperation of mayors with other development actors and also their engagement to solve the main problems of municipalities.
