This paper discusses the influence of the social and financial awards on the self-assessment of nurses. In the theoretical part I deal with explanation of terms as self-konception, self-respect, prestige and social status of the profession. Since the prestige of the profession influences besides other things historical development of professions, I have been also interested in the history of nursing. To be able to measure the economic effects of self-reflection of the nurses, I compared the amount of the financial evaluation of selected professional groups in the country. In the practical part I have found out nurses' opinion to view their financial assessment with regard to educational achievement and job description and their opinion on membership in a particular social group. I also wonder, as a general nurse assesses the media image of their profession and what is most troubling to him. I also tried to determine what is the most common motivation for general nurses to remain in their profession. For this project, I have chosen the technique of quantitative research, the method of anonymous questionnaire of my own design. Research conducted in the period from 1st October to 15th October 2011. I have distributed questionnaires in the Faculty Hospital Bulovka in Prague, Department of Radiation...

The first part of the thesis offers the most widely used conceptualisation of self-compassion, a comparison between self-compassion, self-esteem and unconditional self-acceptance, a summary of application areas of self-compassion, a list of relevant psychometric tools and a description of the Czech translation of the Self-Compassion Scale (SCS-CZ). The second part of the thesis consists of a quantitative study designed to further assess the construct validity of the SCS-CZ using the Beck Depression Inventory (BDI-II), the trait form of the State-Trait Anxiety Inventory (STAI X2) and the Unconditional Positive Self-Regard Scale (UPSRS) and to explore the connection between self-compassion and unconditional positive self-regard. A battery of web-based inventories was administered to a non-clinical sample (n = 415). The SCS-CZ shows a strong negative correlation with the BDI-II and the STAI X2, and a strong positive correlation with the UPSRS. The SCS-CZ is a valid measure of self-compasssion, suitable for comparing groups and population samples. For drawing conclusions about individuals, it is...

Creative Confidence
Blechová, Eva ; CHRZ, Vladimír (advisor) ; ČUNDERLE, Michal (referee)
This thesis deals with the desire to create and how can the individual?s thinking about himself help to increase or decrease this desire, to keep it alive or let it die. In the tradition of qualitative research, I have conducted twenty-six semistructured interviews with creators and teachers of creative, in particular theatrical, disciplines. I analyse these interviews and propose classifications and models. These models are combined with my own experience as a creator and as a teacher, with relevant literature as well as with my own creative writing. Given the selected methodology, the text does not aspire to provide overall generalisation, but rather shows some principles that can be inspirational for creators and their teachers.
