Shale gas and conflict of (public) interests (Based on the example of Trutnovsko and Berounsko)

The goal of this thesis is to examine the term of public interest within the framework of the 'shale gas' issue in the Czech Republic. The theoretical section is divided into two basic parts. The first part defines the term public interest from the point of view of political science, sociology and economy. The second one describes the issue of shale gas extraction in global context. The examination is focused on the context of administrative procedures defining the prospecting exploration area of unconventional hydrocarbon resources in the Trutnov region and around the Berounka River The intention of private companies to extract shale gas in the Czech Republic caused a big discussion. In its core there is the dispute between the economic development of the country connected with energy security on one hand and the environment protection on the other. Within this debate the term public interest appears in many different contexts. The way it is used by the people involved and their interests are described through interviews with them and analysis of the gained material.
Impact of ČŠI on practice activities of nursery schools

The disertation focuses on Czech School Inspectorate (CSI) and its impact on the preschool institutions in the region of Lanškroun. What are the criteria used in evaluating the work of kindergarten, what laws are governed in their work and what the implications of its findings are to the school management and decision-making processes in them. The thesis comrises the historical introduction of the state supervision over schools, the development of CSI, the comparison of school inspection systems in other EU countries, the extent of competency of the Czech School Inspectorate. The research shows that the Czech School Inspectorate has the positive impact on management in the kindergartens, it gives the essential feedback to the kindergarten headmasters. The headmasters consider the CSI evaluation to be the further step in their work. The determined conclusions are the results of the questionnaire to the headmasters, the analysis of inspection reports as the outcome of CSI activities in selected kindergartens in the region of Lanškroun. Game sense analysis in ice hockey

Title: Game sense analysis in ice hockey Goal: Find out, what "game sense" means for group of ice hockey experts and then compare results with findings in publications. Methodology Research group Research group consisted of five ice hockey experts. The selection criteria were as follows: Variant 1 Successful completation of coaching licence "A" At least five years of coaching experience in any of these categories: Extraliga Ledního hokeje ČR, Youth national team, Czech U17 or Czech U20 teams Variant 2 Playing experience in NHL or Czech National team Successful completation of coaching licence "B" Data collection method Qualitative research, interview with experts Conclusion Finding acquired from interviews with experts can provide for further deeper analysis of the term "Game sense" than finding that can be acquired from literature. Every statement is product of years of acquired knowledge and experience, therefore I believe, that this thesis can help reader find out more information about game sense and possibilities of its development. Differences in cognitive processes during recognition of faces within individual and collective identification procedure

This thesis discusses cognitive processes theories with special emphasis on those affecting recognition and identification of human faces, introduces the issue of eyewitness testimony and the issue of methods and techniques of criminal identification proven in forensic science and actually in use in police work. The literature and previous empirical studies dealing with the issue of line-up and show-up reliability and accuracy are reviewed afterwards. The effect of selected variables, i.e. retention interval and similarity of suspect clothing, within the show-up and line-up procedures is well mentioned. Experiments in this thesis examine these interrelated goals: determining the effect of two variables on show up accuracy as well as the suggestivity of show up method and exploring carryover effect from show up to line up identification procedure. Analysis of Decision-Making Processes in the Company

This thesis deals with decision-making processes in the selected company, specifically with processes dealing with stock spare parts supplies. In the first part of the thesis, the company engaged in the decision-making processes is described. This section is followed by the second part, which provides the theoretical foundation for this problem, its structure and process solutions. The practical part contains a description of the problem solving process in the selected company. All is completed in the final part, which assesses whether the applied solution procedures are in accordance with the theoretical knowledge which ends with recommendations to certain adjustments of the implemented system.
Analysis of Decision-Making Processes in the Company

The bachelor thesis deals with decision-making processes in a given company. The concrete decision-making process is the product pricing. The theoretical part of this thesis describes theoretical characterization of this problem, its structure, methods of solutions and factors that operate in whole process of product pricing. A part of theoretical part is also product mix that makes the basis for that decision-making process. In analytical part is description of product portfolio of selected company. These is also chosen several concrete products that show the chosen methods of product pricing used in this company. Tha part of the thesis are author's comments on this issue.
