Preparation of graduate students for teaching in inclusive classrooms at the Faculty of Education of Charles Univerzity

Diploma thesis examines the preparation of students of pedagogical study programmes for teaching in inclusive classrooms during their undergraduate studies. In the Czech social and public policy discourse there is a visible growth of the value of inclusive education. Inclusive principles have been incorporated into Czech education with the amendment of the Education Act in 2015 (Act No. 82/2015). However, the current methods of undergraduate teacher education students' preparation for inclusive education are reflected minimally in the relevant research literature in the Czech Republic (e.g. Stará, 2015). Faculties of education then carry a significant degree of responsibility for ensuring sufficient and high-quality preparation of future teachers, who have the uneasy task of managing the inclusive education right at the level of the classrooms with a very heterogenous group of pupils. Teachers are expected to ensure the individualisation of teaching and to be competent in pedagogical diagnosis. Initial Education Of Early Years Teachers And The Profession's Needs

The thesis deals with undergraduate training of kindergarten teachers. The aim is to compare the issue of preparation for the profession of kindergarten teacher from different perspectives in historical and international comparisons and reflect and analyze the needs of the profession towards initial training kindergarten teachers on the basis of theoretical concepts and statements from practice. The reaserch aims to analyze the curriculum of initial training kindergarten teachers at selected faculties of education in the Czech Republic, analyze and reflect on meeting the needs of the profession in these faculties and learn how to evaluate their students' level of development of their professional competence at the beginning of undergraduate training and at the end. Research design is a multi-case study. Working with reaserch respondents has a longitudinal character. Methods were used quantitative and qualitative methodology - questionnaire, rating scales, content analysis of documents, interview and focus group. Teachers' Education of Preprimary, Primary and Secondary School - History, Present, Perspectives

The thesis is a theorethical study with the main theme of teachers' education. It is divided into five chapters. The first chapter describes world trends in the area of teachers' education which are being adopted in the Czech Republic. Next three chapters are focused on the education of each teachers' group - preprimary, primary, secondary school. Each of these chapters includes the historic context of teachers' education and the content of their education. Today's conception of school education is considered as the key faktor which should be reflected in present teachers' education. The fifth chapter contains the perspectives of future development of teachers' education.

University studies of primary school teaching from novice teacher point of view.

The thesis is focused on university studies from the point of view of a beginning teachers both here in The Czech Republic and aboard. It also deals with problems the beginning teachers encounter and finally with characteristic of some problems. The practical part presents outcomes of qualitative research survey. Its aim was to find out how beginning teachers view their university studies, field of study Teaching for the 1.st stage of basic schools. Respondents reported the most common problems discipline of pupil and scheduling of schoolwork during a lesson.
