Aldabaghová, Viktorie ; Vávra, Martin (advisor) ; Kobová, Ĺubica (referee)
Viktorie Aldabaghová Abstract This thesis focuses on gender ideologies in the Czech Republic. Through a secondary analysis of data collected as part of the 2017 European Values Study, the attitudes of the Czech public towards gender roles are explored. To put the results of the analysis into a broader context, gender ideologies in the Czech Republic are compared with gender ideologies in Spain. The results show that gender ideologies in the Czech Republic are significantly more traditional than gender ideologies in Spain. The association between gender ideologies and basic socio- demographic characteristics of the population is examined.
Adolescent views of ethnic bullying by peer exclusion
Jarolímek, Matouš ; Kollerová, Lenka (advisor) ; Lukavská, Kateřina (referee)
This bachelor's thesis examines adolescents' attitudes towards ethnic bullying by peer exclusion. Bullying is still widespread in Czech schools, and the increasing diversity of school classrooms can sometimes bring with it an increasing incidence of bullying among children with different ethnic backgrounds. For these reasons, it is necessary to know the attitudes towards bullying based on the ethnicity of those most affected, i.e. adolescents. In the theoretical part, the main concepts are defined and then placed in the context of the topic of the bachelor thesis. The following practical part aims to use quantitative methods to describe the attitudes of adolescents towards bullying by peer exclusion, which include the willingness to stand up for the bullied, the evaluation of bullying by peer exclusion or its perceived effects, and to verify whether the role of these attitudes is played by the fact that the bullying is directed by a Czech student against a classmate of the same, Czech ethnicity, or against a classmate of a minority, specifically Ukrainian, ethnicity. The assumption that adolescents rate bullying of minority ethnicity by peer exclusion as more acceptable than bullying of majority ethnicity by peer exclusion was tested. As further objectives, it was tested whether the gender of the...

Martinčíková, Lucie ; Valentová, Hana (advisor) ; Presslerová, Pavla (referee)
This diploma thesis focuses on the experiences of first-time mothers in the process of becoming a mother, and their changes in experiencing motherhood before and after childbirth. The theoretical part contains six main chapters that address the main issues of motherhood from the perspective of existing research studies and academic literature. Data analysis was performed based on interpretive phenomenological analysis of the text. The result of the thesis is a comprehensive description of topics related to motherhood. The research results show that the process of becoming a mother is undoubtedly a unique and non-transferable experience. The research expands the awareness of the factors that influence the experience of motherhood and maps the key areas of possible changes during the period of motherhood. Significant...

Postoje studentů SOŠ k aktuálním environmentálním problémům
Dostálová, Marie
My thesis focuses on current environmental attitudes of secondary medical schools´ students. Its aim is to explore these attitudes through questionnaire surveys. The thesis is divided into a theoretical part and a practical one, the former describing environmental education in all the three sections of the school system (including preschool education), and the latter analysing secondary students´ questionnaires. The thesis covers specifics and problems that the environmental education faces within the Czech traditional school system, and it also maps items such as environmental management, legislation, impacts and aspects. Last but not least, the theoretical part investigates the environment, its pollution, its protection and its fundamental problems. Finally, the theoretical part describes environmental attitudes and the behaviour interconnected with them. The practical part deals with the survey itself, using the research method of an online questionnaire, divided into five sections, which as a whole answers the key reasearch question. The practical part is complemented by tips and recommendations for teachers.
Francouzské poutní místo Taizé: motivy a postoje českých turistů
Solaříková, Kristýna
This diploma thesis focuses on the motives and attitudes of tourists approaching pilgrimage destinations. It is aimed to find out what are the primary motives of the tourists approaching French pilgrimage site Taizé which is located in Bourgogne-Franche-Comté region. Moreover, it is intended to identify if (and how) the tourists’ attitudes have changed after they visited the pilgrimage site. The theoretical part is devoted to religious tourism with its focus on pilgrimages within the context of Europe. It is captured there how the importance and meaning of pilgrimage has been changing throughout the history. Likewise, the contemporary forms of pilgrimage tourism are recognized there. The attention is paid to motives and attitudes of contemporary pilgrims in contrast to the prototype of the pilgrim from the earlier times. Subsequently, the Taizé pilgrimage site, including its specifics, is introduced, and characterized there. Within the practical part, based on twenty semi-structured interviews which were held during the fieldwork, primary data are qualitatively analyzed in order to identify tourists’ motives and their attitudes. The results of a conducted research show that the main motive why tourist approach Taizé was not linked to religious motives but rather curiosity and desire to discover something new. The initiative to visit Taizé often came from another person (friend, acquaintance, or family member) who invited the interviewee to Taizé. Attending the program in Taizé did not cause a revision of the value system in the majority of cases, rather it strengthened already established values. All visitors agreed that Taizé positively influenced interpersonal relationships and attitudes towards different churches as well as religions because obtained experience led individuals to reconciliation and greater tolerance. These conclusions correspond with the main idea of the founder of the pilgrimage site, Roger Schütz.
