The effect of running on physical and mental health

The bachelor thesis entitled The effect of running on physical and mental health is divided into two parts - theoretical and practical. The theoretical part of the thesis includes a definition of running including its effects on the human body, as well as a brief characterization of the muscular and skeletal system of the human body. It also includes health, motivation, stress, obesity and running injuries. The practical part contains the results of a qualitative investigation using interviews with selected adult respondents who are regular runners. The main aim of the work is to find out what effect running has on a person's health according to the respondents interviewed. The sub-objectives are to find out what effect running has on a person's physical health according to the respondents, then to find out what effect running has on a person's mental health according to the respondents, and then to find out and compare differences in running based on age among the selected respondents. Based on the above investigation, it was found that running has many positive and negative effects on a person's health. Formulation and verification of an intervention movement program focused on dance yoga at lower-secondary school

This diploma deals with verifying and applying a three-month intervention movement program focused on dance yoga, intended for pupils in the 2nd grade of elementary school. The theoretical part summarizes the findings about the benefits of yoga and dance practice for young people, including quality of life. As part of the research investigation, quality of life indicators in physical and psychosocial health was monitored using the standardized PedsQL 4.0 questionnaire for children and youth. Based on the application of the dance yoga intervention program, the experimental group was expected to improve physical and psychosocial health indicators compared to the control group. Pearson's correlation coefficient r was used to assess the established hypotheses, which was subsequently verified according to the p-value due to the level of statistical significance of 0.05. Based on the results of the statistical analysis of the datasets, it can be concluded that the quality of life in the area of psychosocial health increased significantly in the tested individuals during the monitored period, while no statistically significant change was recorded in the area of physical health.
Influence of pet dog on child health

Further there is discussed choice of a proper family dog, prevention against injuries caused by the dog and prevention of diseases the pet can transmit. The goal of this work is to determine from a questionnaire, whether a dog has positive impact on child health and what is the awareness of children in the area of communication with a dog. Next, there is proposal of a hobby group, that aims on cooperation of a child and dog.
Lifestyle diseases, their causes and prevention.

My bachelor thesis dealt with the issues of lifestyle diseases. The objective of this work was to use a questionnaire survey to find out whether and how the people are informed about these diseases. If they know causes related to them and how they try to prevent from them. I also was wondering whether the people on the basis of their age and their maximal attained educational are differently informed about these diseases. Aims of this work were completed fulfilled and the results showed that the respondents who were used in my questionnaire are sufficiently informed about these diseases and their prevention which they predominantly respect. As emerged from the work it would be appropriate to ensure that the society continues to be well - informed about these diseases. I personally would wish that people of all ages to regularly and consciously pay primarily attention to precautions of a healthy lifestyle which is the basis of prevention of lifestyle diseases.
Mindfulness-based interventions in clinical practice

This bachelor's thesis deals with mindfulness-based programs, which are now used in medicine. The theoretical part focuses on their, description, published clinical outcomes, research, mechanisms of action, advantages, pitfalls and their use in clinical practice. The empirical builds on the theoretical part and proposes a research project in the form of a double-blinded randomized controlled study of the influence of MBSR on variables of mental and physical health, with the application of an active control group. Discussion includes reflections on the direction of future research and presents information on current trends, opportunities and challenges facing these interventions. Primary school pupils' awareness of the coccept of health as a fundamental human value

This diploma dissertation is about health concept and contemporary lifestyle of pupils of the 2 nd grade of primary school. I worked with students on 2nd grade Elementary school in Suchdol. Healthy lifestyle is very important as a basic human value. I reseached integration of school subject Health Education acording General Education Plan. I define term health and factors affecting health. The level is depend on education and age. The target of my work is surway about knowledges and awarenes of students on 2nd grade. I put them pretest to find their incoming informations. This result I used for my lesson plans. The basic facts were taken by questionnares. The results were compared and analysed. This reseached found out that informations and knowledges were different. The upper grade was better than lower. These proofs showes that Health Education is one of the most important parts in elementary education. The design of kit of activities promoting well-being of university teachers

The aim of the diploma thesis is to create a set of activities for university teachers that will have the potential to improve the working life of teachers and overall, well-being. The theoretical part of the thesis contains knowledge about well-being, its determinants, sources, but also well-being in connection with health. The next part of the theoretical part deals with the issue of personal change of well-being, how an individual can positively and negatively affect well-being. Furthermore, the theoretical part includes the topics of well-being in the workplace and creating a healthy work environment. In the last and one of the most important chapters of the theoretical part, the issue of well-being in university teachers is discussed, what shapes and influences his well-being. In the practical part there is a design of set of activities to improve well-being of university teachers. These activities are created on the basis of a search of professional literature. The practical part consists of two main parts. Comparison of dynamic ability in nordic skiing's disciplines

Title: A comparison of dynamic abilities in nordic ski disciplines Aim: This dissertation aims to compare the dynamic abilities of cross country skiers and ski jumper in age between 12 to 15. Clarification of whether or not a training process of those two athlete groups has a crucial impact on the development of mentioned abilities compared to the other hobby sports group (target group). Methodology: This dissertation is conceived as empiric-theoretical. It analyses the results of samples to verify the hypothesis. There were three groups consisting of 10 samples (athletes) in total. The samples were tested in horizontal jumps (long jump, triple jump, multiple jumps) and vertical jumps (squat jump, counter movement jump). In all tests, it was decided to use only the best of all three attempts for the results. Findings: Development of dynamic abilities during the training process has a positive impact on their development in general. Both cross country skiers and ski jumpers achieved better results than the target group. Furthermore, ski jumpers performed better than cross country skiers. The Influence of Motional Activities on the Life of People with Physical Disabilities

The purpose of this Bachelor's thesis is to describe the inuence of physical activities on people with physical disabilities on their physical and mental health and their socialization. A physical disability is a limitation on a person's physical functioning and mobility. It can be divided into several groups (polio, deformation, malformation, amputation or combined disability). Physical activities of people with physical disabilities are generally benecial as they positively inuence peoples mental health and socialization and may also avoid the formation of new health problems. People with physical disabilities can either join the Paralympic federation and participate in competitive sport or join other associations and clubs to participate in a physical activities just for joy and health benets. A quantitative survey was conducted and displayed graphically. The respondents were physically active people with physical disabilities from the Czech Republic. The goal of the questionnaire was to describe the inuence of physical activity on physical and mental health and socialization of physically disabled people. The correlation between dierent physical activities and magnitude of benecial eects was also studied. As a result, physical activities had an overall positive eect on physical and mental health, there were minimum negative eects. No correlation between the physical activity and the magnitude of eects was observed. The results of this thesis can serve as an informational source of suitable and unsuitable physical activities and inuence of physical activities on physically disabled people.
