Are game journalists sold out: the perception of game media marketing activities and sponsored content by gamers
Krečová, Tereza ; Švelch, Jan (advisor) ; Shavit, Anna (referee)
This bachelor thesis focuses on the connection between gaming journalism and marketing practices utilized by gaming journalism, which generate revenue and enable this activity to be conducted. Its aim is to find out how players and users of gaming media perceive advertising integrated into gaming media content and how advertising can influence the perception of content that is not associated with it, particularly why players refer to gaming media reviews and gaming media as "bribed." Assumptions about "corrupt" gaming media are slowly seeping into the corners of the gaming community, and this bachelor thesis seeks to identify the reasons behind these assumptions. It utilizes a combination of qualitative and quantitative research methods. Qualitative research examines players' reactions to gaming media content, specifically game reviews produced by gaming media, and their potential connection to paid collaborations that have taken place on the gaming media's websites and channels. Quantitative research builds on the evaluation of qualitative research and, through a semi-structured questionnaire, investigates how players perceive advertising in gaming media and how such advertising can affect the perception of other content produced by gaming media, or its credibility. Qualitative research...
Perception of strategies for working with general-reference map among students of various ages
Poldová, Viktorie ; Trokšiar, David (advisor) ; Machová, Daniela (referee)
The main topic of this thesis are strategies used while working with a map and their perception by students of different ages. A general-reference map, which students often interact with in geography lessons, was chosen for the research. 92 students in grades 6 and 9 and in the final year of secondary school participated in an experiment involving an achievement test and a follow-up questionnaire to explore perceived strategies. The eye-tracking camera used during the test allowed to obtain real strategies. The perceived strategies were qualitatively and quantitatively processed and explored in terms of four dimensions, i.e. repertoire, distribution, adaptability and efficiency. The results showed a wide repertoire of perceived strategies and the most frequently reported types of strategies. The largest repertoire was found among final year secondary school students, while the smallest repertoire was found among 6th grade students. Based on the distribution of strategy types in the tasks and the use of the necessary elements in the mentioned strategy, final year secondary school students showed the highest ability to adapt their perceived strategies, while 6th grade students showed the lowest. The ideal fastest and most accurate strategies were determined for the efficiency evaluation. Despite the...
Artephyletics in group work in free time
Semecká, Hana ; Hanková, Zdeňka (advisor) ; Blažková, Veronika (referee)
This bachelor thesis examines the topic of artephiletics in use during leisure activities, aimed at children's perception of the natural environment. The source of perception is trees, which provide inspiration for spontaneous and organised creative activities. Children's insights and perceptions into the world of trees create space for shared experiences, knowledge, stimulate emotions and lasting stimuli. In the theoretical part, the first chapters introduce the concepts of education, leisure time, and pedagogy of leisure time as used within the pedagogical field of leisure. The chapter on art describes the relationship between nature and education as an educational tool. The chapters on children's drawing and art education define the activities in the context of the Framework Curriculum in school and during leisure time on the basis of J. Slavik's concept of art education. The theoretical part concludes with a chapter on artephiletics with an emphasis on the importance of pedagogical work. The aim of my bachelor's thesis is to design and test the Tree Stories artephiletic leisure project. The project focuses on children's perception of trees by experiencing them during art activities. The practical part characterises a group of children with whom the project was carried out. It describes the activities...
I thought I will pause my endless wandering for a while, but I just don´t think I really can
Hrabců, Jamie ; Spáčilová Blažková, Kateřina (referee) ; Javůrek, Tomáš (advisor)
The bachelor's thesis entitled "I thought I will pause my endless wandering for a while, but I just don't think I really can" consists of a series of shirts with applications of patches created by screen printing technique, based on the author's photographs. The photographs are transferred onto the patches by screen printing using special inks, namely heat-sensitive and UV-responsive inks. Formally and thematically, the bachelor thesis is based on the author's previous work. The theme of the thesis is the changing perception of the world and how this perception is influenced by various external or internal factors. The colour used for the patches sewn on the inside of the shirt fabric reacts to the body temperature, the colour layer on the patches on the front side of the shirt reacts to the amount of sunlight and thus to the environment and the time of day. The selection of photographs to be printed and sewn onto the shirts is aimed at creating small wearable "galleries". By wearing the shirts, by varying bodily activity or exposure to sunlight, the viewer-participants can influence the actual form of the images in these "galleries".
The influence of the environment, the room
Ďuďáková, Simona ; Korbička, Pavel (referee) ; Šrámek, Jan (advisor)
The bachelor thesis focuses on the analysis and design of immersive space as an exhibition, installation and presentation-environment with an emphasis on a relaxing and meditative space for the audience. The work combines elements-associated with sensory perception such as light, darkness, sound and smell with the intention of creating a space for contemplation and relaxation. It also aims to implement sculptural and performative principles into the overall design of the installation. I will evaluate this work through analysis of how the chosen form and space interact with the spectator and create an escape from everyday life. My aim is also to discover how immersive space can affect the emotional well-being of the audience. All of this will be summarised in a zine in which I will use people's testimonies of how they felt and what they noticed, along with photo documentation and the text "When my mind goes still".

Pupils' Perception of Natural History Teaching at the Second Level of Primary School and at the High School Bc. Ivana Pořická ABSTRACT The task of the thesis is to explore the attitudes and the opinions of students from the 2nd stage of selected primary schools and corresponding grades of a multi-year grammar school regarding the teaching of natural sciences, respectively biology. An integral part of the research work involves assessing and evaluating students' mental disposition before the lesson, preparedness, satisfaction with the environment, teaching itself including the methods used, and the usability and importance of biological education in general. Students were also given the opportunity to express their views on the relevant textbooks used in teaching. Furthermore, the thesis aimed to compare and analyze differences in the attitudes of students from primary schools and multi-year grammar schools in the corresponding grades. Another analysis focused on differences in responses in terms of gender. Whether there are any significant differences in the attitudes of girls and boys, and if so, to attempt to evaluate the reasons for these differences. The research also reveals some specific differences in attitudes between the two groups of students, suggesting that educational programs and the school...
Social Work Students' Perception of the Role of a Social Worker in Substitute Family Care
KOPEČNÁ, Eliška
Substitute family care focuses on children who cannot grow up with their biological parents and need to be provided with an alternative form of family background. There are forms of substitute family care for this purpose, which are: adoption, foster care, temporary foster care, guardianship with personal care and entrusting the child to the care of another person. The system of foster family care is undergoing or is planned to undergo changes as part of the forthcoming amendment to the Act on Social and Legal Protection of Children. In my bachelor thesis I deal with the issue of substitute family care, in which I focus on how students of social work at the University of South Bohemia in České Budějovice perceive the role of the social worker in foster family care. The bachelor thesis is divided into theoretical and research parts. In the theoretical part I define the concept of foster family care, then I present the basic legal regulation of this issue, I list and define the different forms of foster family care, and finally I define the social worker and describe his role in foster family care, whether it is a social worker in the OSPOD or in the accompanying organization. When compiling the research part, a quantitative research strategy was used and a questionnaire survey method was chosen, which was implemented using my own structured questionnaire. Two hypotheses for further evaluation of the results were set within the research. The aim of the bachelor thesis is to find out how social work students perceive the role of the social worker in substitute family care.

Perception of oncoming vehicle speed
Pršeš, Faruk ; Rak, Martin (referee) ; Bilík, Martin (advisor)
The presented master thesis deals with perception of oncoming vehicle speed. The theoretical part defines basic terminology, types, and categories of motor vehicles. Furthermore, it establishes what effects sensory perception has on estimation of vehicle speed. The practical part focuses on the examination of the measured estimations of moving vehicle where the respondents are seated and the estimations of oncoming vehicle speed according to age, gender, driver’s experience, and type of vehicle. The design, preparation and realization of the experimental measurement is in this part of the thesis. Afterwards, it is followed by an evaluation of the measured data, which gives us a better idea of how precise the witness estimations are at the traffic accident.
