The Employment Rate Based on the Present Valid Legal Amendment and Role of the Employment Bureau

This thesis is based on the current status of unemployment in the Czech Republic, on the current applicable legislation, and it takes into account the latest regulations of the Labor Code and the Employment Act. It also focuses on the work of the employment bureaus, particularly their retraining activities. It also analyzes the issue of so-called illegal employment. The practical part of the thesis covers the situation on the labor market in the Kutná Hora region. We studied the rate of unemployment and its flow in the individual micro-regions. We analyzed the structure of job seekers in terms of education and age. We also focused on the problems of the youth, school graduates, foreigners and handicapped people on the labor market in the area. During the period in question we evaluated the active employment policy of the Kutná Hora employment bureau. Here we performed an analysis of retraining of the job seekers, their placement and success on the labor market. The thesis provides a picture of the employment policy in the Czech Republic, which can be used to acquire comprehensive knowledge of this area.

The primary aim of this dissertation is to determine the impact of social benefits, depending on client's attempt to work on his or her inclusion into the work process. The dissertation seeks to determine whether passive labour market policies are effective, especially the social benefits for the unemployed. The paper also tries to explain the main causes of long-term unemployment and it is impact on individuals. The dissertation also seeks to find out whether the system of assistance in material need has a positive impact on clients of labour office or whether is discouraging to the potential efforts of eventual integration into the labour market. The dissertation also answers to the question if the system of assistance in material need is one of the conditions of the emergence of the poverty cycle. Key words:...

Expenditures on active and passive labour market policies in CR between 1993 and 2014

The aim of this bachelor thesis is to analyses expenditures on active and passive labour market policies (ALMP and PLMP) and to answer the question why there were changes in the proportion of expenditures on ALMP and PLMP in Czech Republic between 1993 and 2014. Thesis also aims to asses future (post-crissis) development of the expenditures on state labour market policy. The theoretical part of this work examines state employment policy and its division into ALMP and PLMP, focusing on Czech Republic and ALMP tools. The practical part of this thesis analyses both absolute and relative terms expenditures on ALMP and PLMP between 1993 and 2014 and puts them into relation with unemployment and GDP, with government objectives and other important facts (EU entry). The total amouth of expenditures on state labour parket policies has been rising since 1993. The proportion of expenditures on ALMP and PLMP was going through significant changes and the role of ALMP increases in time. Nevertheless, the average value of expenditures on PLMP for the entire period is almost twice the average expenditure on ALMP.
