Consumer protection in the European Union

This thesis is focused on consumer protection in the European Union with a special emphasis on online shopping. The first section defines the term 'consumer protection', its development, institutional support, instruments and financing. Also, this part describes the digital market of the European Union, hindrances to the growth of online shopping as well as strategies which are created in order to form a digital single market in the European Union. The second section focuses on protection of personal data, alternative dispute resolutions, current legislation regarding consumers rights on internet and new proposals from the European Commission. The new proposals dominate the second part of this thesis and are discussed with an expert. A survey has been conducted to find out more about the Czech experience with problem solving when shopping online. Moreover, this thesis does not leave out court orders from the European Union´s Court of Justice which have led to the uniform application and interpretation of the consumer protection in the European Union.
Consumer Behaviour Towards Online Shopping of Fashion from Foreign Countries for the French Population Between 18 and 25 Years Old

The booming of Internet has changed consumers habits in many aspects. Nowadays it is possible to buy almost anything on the Internet but also to access to some information, consumers reviews and other data that can help the consumer to make the best choice. Existing researches have been trying to find explanations to consumer behaviour online, even though it is complicated to analyse. This thesis is focused exclusively on shopping online for clothes and fashion accessories, investigating on a population between 18 and 25 years old. The hypotheses are based on four main aspects of buying: product, price, enjoyment and convenience. The research will provide elements and key factors on their consumer behaviour towards online shopping of fashion and how online companies could make them becoming more loyal to online shopping and become more prosperous.
Application of logistics processes in online shop

The aim of this bachelor paper was to evaluate an activity of the company TV Products CZ, Ltd. during a calendar year, assess the advantages and disadvantages of online shopping from the customer's view and compare it with traditional shopping at stores. In the theoretical part, the terms of e-shop and store were explained. This part was also occupied with the e-shopping history and development. Then this part was focused on the payment methods and the level of the customer services. In the practical part, the selected company was introduced at first and then all activities from orders to goods delivery to customers were monitored. It was realized by personal visit to this company. Through this visit the shortcomings were detected and the measures which lead to improvement and customers' satisfaction were created. The company should pay attention to these shortcomings and focus on their removal
Extensibility of open-source platforms for online shopping on Czech market

The main subject of this thesis is an analysis of open source platforms and their add-ons for online shopping in Czech market. The aim is to describe various open source platforms and chart available add-ons, such as shipping and logistics, connection with accounting systems, payment methods, price comparison and similar add-ons, which extend functionality of an e-shop. This work also presents the installation of PrestaShop and its basic add-ons, which are compared to similar paid add-ons.
Analysis of factors affecting the behavior of consumers when shopping on the Internet

Throughout the Thesis I deal with distinctions between each day of the week based on daily amount of orders and their total cost during the internet shopping process. I take into account data from the Czech republic and Slovakia as well. Based on the patterns a 1% increase in wages leads to a 5,49% increase in amount of orders in the Czech republic and a 5,87% increase in Slovakia. There has been also proved that men buy online more often and spends more per each order than women. Monday has been proved as the most frequent day of the week considering total quantity of orders and their total cost. Weather effects are random and an accurate trend cannot be determined.
Shopping behavior of Internet users with a focus on the Czech and German Market

The thesis focuses on the purchasing behaviour of the Czech and German Internet users. Based on the primary survey and analysis of secondary sources as well as data from the Google Consumer Barometer about Czech and Germany Internet users, it identifies the similarities and differences in shopping behaviour among Czech and German Internet users. Based on the findings, the thesis provides recommendations for the Czech and German traders and the businesses considering expansion to one of these markets. It advises how they can respond most effectively to their customer needs.
Promotion of online shop

My bachelor's thesis deals with promotion of online shop. For this thesis was used an online shop Evoshop.cz, which is a seller of well-known sports brand Nike. The aim of this thesis is to propose an optimal model of propagation for stated e-shop based on evaluation of existing and new elements of promotion. This thesis is divided into three chapters. The first chapter presents theoretical part and deals with possibilities of communication on the internet. The second chapter deals with a particular online shop and its development, problems, competition, questioning and Swot analysis of e-shop. And the last chapter is dedicated to a particular possibilities of promotion of e-shop. This thesis can serve as a basis for small and medium online stores, which do not intend to spend high amounts of finance for its promotion and advertising, although they want to stay competitive.
