Is there any relation between uncertainty and rate of anxiety?
Stralczynská, Anna ; Šípek, Jiří (advisor) ; Šporclová, Veronika (referee)
Works aim is to search relation between uncertainty and anxiety. First step was to focus on literature about this topic. First part of work is dedicated to anxiety, anxiousness and than to uncertainty in general and uncertainy of situation. Another topics of this work are changes in society and growing uncertainty and ambiquity, which are phenomenoms of these days. At the end of work there is suggested a search dedicated to the relation between uncertainty and anxiety.
Rule-following
Jelačič, Josef ; Koťátko, Petr (advisor) ; Marvan, Tomáš (referee)
Following any rule is not possible without some external instance of a jury that can evaluate if anyone (other than himself) acts according to a rule or against it. This work compares different perspectives on the issue of "rule following" and bounding a meaning. It progressively elaborates toward the theories explicitly built on social interaction and psychological terms, where the world is much more analysed by linguistic feeling of an individual, rather than towards a single objective theory of meaning that can clearly decide what is right and what is not. Accumulated findings are then used in the mind experiment that attempts to outline the idea of the world operating on the basis of relatively related processes taking place at different levels of perception, and to point out the possibility of creating complex structures based on the repetition of simple and obvious rules.
Robust optimization for solution of uncertain optimization programs
Komora, Antonín ; Dupačová, Jitka (advisor) ; Kopa, Miloš (referee)
Robust optimization is a valuable alternative to stochastic programming, where all underlying probabilistic structures are replaced by the so-called uncertainty sets and all related conditions must be satisfied under all circumstances. This thesis reviews the fundamental aspects of robust optimization and discusses the most common types of problems as well as different choices of uncertainty sets. It focuses mainly on polyhedral and elliptical uncertainty and for the latter, in the case of linear, quadratic, semidefinite or discrete programming, computationally tractable equivalents are formulated. The final part of this thesis then deals with the well-known Flower-girl problem. First, using the principles of robust methodology, a basis for the construction of the robust counterpart is provided, then multiple versions of computationally tractable equivalents are formulated, tested and compared. Solving Problems with Uncertainty
Hrdý, Libor ; Martinek, David (referee) ; Zbořil, František (advisor)
In this thesis is described implementation of the logical deskgame Backgammon, which is a game for two players, whereas one is substituted by computer. This thesis is focused on the problems of the programming the graphical user interface with help of toolkit WxWidgets and also the implemetnation of the game core (game controls and AI of the computer) by using ExpectMiniMax algorithm, that is used for the implementation of the games with the strong influence of random, games where random plays a big role, in this particular case throwing the cube.
Diagnostic expert system
Mertlík, Tomáš ; Nagy, Ľuboš (referee) ; Karásek, Jan (advisor)
This paper refers to expert systems. Expert system is a computer program dedicated to giving an expert advice, decisions or recommending the best solution in a particular situation. This paper mentions four types of expert system which are commonly used in practice. Basic, additional and complementary components of expert systems are described. The practical part of this paper refers to the diagnostic problem of computer start based on expert system implemented in JAVA programming language and ECLIPSE IDE.
AI Algorithms
Petrželka, Jan ; Hrubý, Martin (referee) ; Janoušek, Vladimír (advisor)
This master's thesis describes artificial intelligence algorithms based on the book Artificial Inteligence: A Modern Approach by S. Russel and P. Norvig and implementation of the algorithms in the Squeak Smalltalk programming language with object oriented approach. Algorithms are based on pseudocode in the book and existing implementations in Lisp, Python and Java language. Main concepts are intelligent agents, agent simulation environments, state space search, game playing, planning, uncertainty and learning.
Processing of Uncertain Information in Databases
Morávek, Petr ; Dvořák, Jiří (referee) ; Šeda, Miloš (advisor)
The following diploma thesis focuses on processing of uncertain information in databases. Uncertain information represents vague customer requests during laptop choice in classic shop purchasing. Effort of the work is to develop a modern e-shop application selling laptops, which is based on expert fuzzy system helping customers to choose a laptop without knowledge of technical specifications and current trends.
Programming tools for creation expert systems
Hrbek, Filip ; Berka, Petr (advisor) ; Svátek, Vojtěch (referee)
This bachelor thesis is going to explore the supply of programming tools for creation expert system and compare these tools by established criteria. This document is divided into theoretical and practical part. The first one is trying to describe expert system topic including division of programming tools into general programming language, programming language for artificial intelligence and development toolkits for expert system. The reader can imagine general model, which will be compared by practical applications. In the practical part I have written something about established criteria. The study describes programming tools. Information about them I have found in the manuals, tutorials, information from manufacturer, testing these tools. In conclusion I have compared them in tables. I have chosen only few examples of programming tools, because the offer on now day market is too wide.
Obecným přínosem této práce je kromě tvorby samotné učební pomůcky a zmapování problematiky expertních systémů rovněž i demonstrace uvedených poznatků prostřednictvím jednoduchého expertního systému.
