Proposal of Business Strategy for the Establishment of an African Restaurant in Brno
ILogeme, Ijeoma ; Pavláková Dočekalová, Marie (referee) ; Škapa, Stanislav (advisor)
This Master's Thesis will delve into Porter's Five Forces framework, macroenvironment analysis, and SWOT Analysis because it relates to the study of introducing African cuisine to a foreign market. The thesis ambitions to offer insights into the underlying factors that contribute to the reluctance of people to embody African delicacies, in addition to discovering capacity enterprise possibilities in catering to African and non-African consumers. The proposed strategic method seeks to manage the limits to access the marketplace by gauging prospective customers' interests and options through a focused questionnaire and implementing a complete marketing plan to promote awareness and attraction to the restaurant. A feasibility evaluation will also be performed to mitigate business risks related to getting into small business in a foreign market.
Mobile Application for Supermarkets
Habermannová, Adéla ; Kindlová, Dita (referee) ; Luhan, Jan (advisor)
This bachelor thesis deals with the design of a mobile application for supermarkets. This design is for the Android operating system and emphasizes the user experience, which optimizes by implementing new features. The result is a wireframe showing the placement of individual elements within the application.
Design of powder preheating for cold spray technology
Kalina, Jan ; Čupera, Jan (referee) ; Řehořek, Lukáš (advisor)
Cold spray is a technology that ranks among the thermal coatings. Its main idea is to prevent both the sprayed and the underlying material from reaching the melting temperature in order to reduce the level of surface oxidation. Cold spray is a relatively young technology that is still being researched. The effect of preheating the sprayed material on the material characteristics of the cold spray is one of the research questions. As part of this work, a device for preheating the powder to temperatures of up to 650 °C is designed in such a way as to minimize interference with the current construction of the Cold Spray workstation at the ÚMVI FSI BUT in Brno. The design is based on significant simplifications of the thermal model of the preheating device and heat losses. In the theoretical part, the reader was introduced to the history of Cold Spray, the effects of various technological parameters of Cold Spray on the resulting spray. Furthermore, the requirements for the preheater device were discussed, several variants of the device design were proposed, and the equations used for the device design were written. In the practical part, the required data for the design of the equipment is obtained for the required materials of the sprayed material, different temperatures, and other input parameters of the Cold Spray injection with the help of equations from the theoretical part. Based on them, the final design of the preheater device is compiled.
Static design of steel and timber members of structure of a guesthouse in Pasohlávky
Tomášek, Matěj ; Bukovská, Pavla (referee) ; Pešek, Ondřej (advisor)
The topic of this bechelor’s thesis is assesment of the load-bearing steel and wooden structures of a guest house in the town of Pasohlávky using the BIM method, which includes data sharing and collaboration with other professions. The thesis includes two separate structures: a winter garden designed from steel S235JR and a roof structure that combines steel S235JR and structural timber C24. The content of the work covers the assesment of the main load-bearing elements, dimensioning of selected joints, stability analysis of frame structures, column anchoring and drawing solutions in combination with an IFC format model.
Design and implementation of the power and measurement connection of the test workplace for inverters verification
Zvolánek, Daniel ; Dvořáček, Jiří (referee) ; Morávek, Jan (advisor)
The bachelor's thesis deals with the design and realization of a test station for photovoltaic inverters. The first part discusses the principle of operation of photovoltaic inverters and the verification of their operating parameters. The next part is the analysis of the test station, which discusses the needs of the test station and possible universal solutions. This is followed by the design of the necessary components and cables and the realization of the measurment junction box. In the last chapter, the correct design of the junction box is verified by testing.
Equipment for drying durable "Biltong" meat with warm air
Gabriel, Jan ; Foltýnová, Dana (referee) ; Čípek, Pavel (advisor)
This bachelor's thesis deals with the design proposal of a meat dryer of the "Biltong" type. The aim of the thesis is to design the construction of the device according to the given parameters. The first part of the thesis consists of a research of current principles and equipment used for meat drying. In the second part, possible conceptual variants are described. Based on the conceptual part with regard to the assignment, suitable components of the dryer are selected. The practical part then deals with the performance design and construction solution of the dryer.
Upgrading the Subsystem for Testing of the Safety Function of a Valve
Němec, Petr ; Fiedler, Petr (referee) ; Arm, Jakub (advisor)
The aim of this work is to develop a theoretical basis for the modernization of the subsystem for testing the valve function, the subsequent design and implementation of the visualization. The thesis briefly describes the steam turbine circulation and bypass technology. Thus, the technology of the system in which the safety function itself is located. Furthermore, the thesis deals with the functional safety analysis and describes the development of three analysis methods FTA, HAZOP and FMEA. The thesis also deals with the analysis and description of an existing application using a state diagram. From the subsequent analysis, the design of a new visualization is realized. The visualization is tested in the thesis using simulation which is performed on a real PLC and also using PLCSIM software.
Steel interior staircase in the polytechnical building in Bratislava
Redecha, Martin ; Horáček, Martin (referee) ; Pešek, Ondřej (advisor)
The subject of the bachelor thesis is the design and assessment of the supporting steel structure of the staircase in the multifunctional building in Bratislava. The staircase is located in the entrance atrium in an open space between the 1st floor to 3NP with a total height difference of 6850 mm floors. The approximate ground plan dimensions of the staircase construction are 5500 x 5100 mm. The construction of the staircase was designed from enclosed SHS 50x4 steel profiles in steel S355 J2. The construction system represents truss beams of various shapes that are connected to each other by horizontal and oblique dams. All rods are from the profile. Anchoring is rebuilt by anchor plates with a thickness of 15 mm with 4 chemical anchors and threaded rods M12, 8.8. The static calculation was the program by RFEM 6.06. Subsequently, manual calculation and assessment of the most stressed rods were made by internal forces and design and calculation of anchoring. The C-Fix Online program 1.1.58.1 Fischer was also used to design chemical anchors.
Smart Mirror
Peňas, Dalibor ; Rozman, Jaroslav (referee) ; Kočí, Radek (advisor)
A smart mirror is a smart home device that extends the standard function of a mirror by adding information features displayed on its reflection surface. The main goal of the thesis is to define the concept of Smart Mirror and specify one of the possible applications and its realization. The creation of the mirror includes its design using the FreeCAD program and then construction using 3D printing technology. As the main software, the MagicMirror platform is used. It offers a quality solution for transmitting information to its user, which is extended by a module that offers a certain form of locking its user profiles and personal data using a fingerprint reader. A motion sensor is also used, which helps save display usage and creates statistics. The statistics can be used to link up the users’ routines to other smart home appliances.
